I don't think that's true. It may lower variance but it won't lower their prices. Constructed Magic can only play so many cards. If the Mythic Rares are the quality cards, they operate to replace their weaker Rare counterparts. Their scarcity would keep them expensive. It may make trading easier. EDIT: I think everyone is sorta agreeing with you >_> but just have like tangential points of discussion.

The only problem with that scenario would be the amount of powercreep would be sped up to justify the new mythics being mythic status.

Mythic werewolf seems pretty sick. Basically 2RG, make a 2/2 wolf and gain 2 life when it ETB or transforms into a human, shocks your opponent and one of their dudes when it flips into a werewolf. 2/2, flips into a 4/4 trample. new vampire rare as well: Fiend of the Shadows 3BB Creature - Vampire Wizard Flying When [card] deals combat damage to a player, that player exiles a card from his or her hand. You may play that card for as long as it remains exiled. Sacrifice a human: Regenerate [card] 3/3

They really seem to be pushing the vampires+humans deck right now.

25 Creatures 4x Mayor of Avabruck 3x Daybreak Ranger 3x Reckless Waif 3x Wolfbitten Captive 4x Kruin Outlaw 4x 'Immerwolf' 2x Huntsman of the Fells 2x Scorned Villager 14 Spells 4x Moonmist 4x Full Moon's Rise 4x Ranger's Guile 2x something 21 Lands 4x Rootbound Crag 3x Copperline Gorge 2x Kessig Wolf Run 6x Forest 6x Mountain Keep in mind that I'm very new at this, so I may or may not have made beginner's mistakes in my aim to make a R/G Werewolves aggro deck. Mayor is obviously a must, Daybreak Ranger is in there to deal with flying threats. Reckless Waif and Wolfbitten Captive are both T1 playable plus the Captive is awesome. Kruin Outlaw wins games. Immerwolf is hopefully going to protect my wolves from being flipped. Huntsman is just plain awesome and even provides a token for my Mayor and Immerwolf to pump. I thought Scorned Villager would be a decent idea since it provides extra mana for the Kessig Wolf Run. Moonmist is mandatory and so is Full Moon's Rise. Ranger's Guile is hopefully going to protect my Immerwolves from dying. And then another spell. Beast Within? Ancient Grudge? Incinerate? Shock? I have no idea. Lands explain themselves, some dual land, two Wolf Run's and basics. I've never made a sideboard and am pretty much lost since I don't know the competitive decks that well.

-2 Huntsmen + 1 Waif + 1 Bitten If you are going to try and keep your dudes in ww form, you need not have cards that are counterproductive to that.

@ the pyreheart wolf thing Doesn't kruin outlaw do the same thing? Since you are playing a werewolf deck, no reason to have both.

It comes down on turn 3 and if even if your opp. DoJ/Slags/AoE's on turn 4 it still survives and bashes for 3. Plus it doesn't die to ratchet bomb @ 0.

t1: reckless waif t2: waif, waif t3:kruin t4: moonmist, random shock spell. Also, it in itself surviving ratchet bomb is good and all, but then you just paid 3 for a 1/1 undying.

My feeling during the draft was that black was really open, since packs would have around 7 cards and 3-4 black cards in them, but I guess it was because the guy to my right was in UR. 1x Kessig Wolf Run 1x Gavony Township 1x Traveler's Amulet 1x Ranger's Guile(This was #23/24, if you count amulet as a card) 2x Prey Upon 2x Avacyn's Pilgrim 1x Travel Prep 1x Bonds of Faith 1x Avacynian Priest 2x Darkthicket Wolf 1x Midnight Haunting 1x Mayor of Avabruck 1x Elite Inquisitor 1x Villagers of Estwald 1x Mentor of the Meek 1x Butcher's Cleaver 1x Chapel Geist 1x Spidery Grasp 1x Ulvenwald Mystics 1x Thraben Sentry 1x Slayer of the Wicked 1x Hollowhenge Scavenger 1x Grizzled Outcasts Relevant SB: 1x Moldgraf Monstrosity 1x One Eyed Scarecrow 1x Urgent Exorcism 1x Woodland Sleuth 1x Selfless Cathar 1x Village Bell Ringer UG Self mill was definately open, could have definately picked up at least 4 mulches, the runic rep, spider spawning, gnaw, and memory's journey but decided that GW was going in a good direction, especially considering the 5th pick slayer in P1. Pretty sure that travel prep was the correct pick over a cloystered youth in pack 2 off P2P9 (with P2P1 having been township) Also guessing that Guile was the better 23rd card over Monstrosity, given that Kessig and Township provide me with a solid lategame plan. R1 was vs a RG pretty bad deck with Blastphemous Act, did not get blown out by it G1 and then rolled over in G2 off the god hand of T1 Pilgrim T2 Haunting T3 Travel Prep flashback T4 Kessig active for 2 more damage T5 kill. R2 was another GW human deck, he got flooded both games, I was worried since he had a Mikeus, Angelic Overseer, and Daybreak Ranger, as well as a Champion of the Parish. Since I never saw them and he was flooded badly I won rather easily, off of Gavony Township giving me an edge in all combat situations. R3 was the person to the left of me, who had a very very rough time drafting, his P3P1 had NOTHING for him, Silverchase Fox was his pick, he ended up in UW, finished both matches 2-1. G1 I was on 3 lands and pilgrim but just dumped my hand on the board, had something like Villagers, Mayor, Darkthicket Wolf, Priest out by then, just had excellent tempo which won the game. G2 I got down a turn 2 mentor and proceeded to draw something like 5 cards off of it over the course of the game, he died to the sheer number of creatures on the board, despite getting my chapel geist for free off of a bell ringer and gallows warden. Overall the draft went pretty well for me, I got pretty lucky with all the rares I pulled.
