There are dungeons in GW? Wth? I only played prophecies 6 years ago and I don't recall dungeons O_O.
Why is the guild called Team Legacy as opposed to Team Liquid?
Seems cooler if it was the same as the SC branch, as we could be like spreading our supremacy through multiple games and increasing name recognition. It would be cool for Liquid to be at the top of GW, SC, and D3....

Because TL is focused on providing 100% attention to quality sc2 coverage and do not officially support or endorse other games... yet.
Would be fun to ask if they have any plans for anything else in the "ask anything" thread for the TL staff.
In any case we spent so much time in the guild wars 2 community putting out a positive image of teamliquid community members under our teamlegacy name it would be counter productive to our goals in the competitive scene. No matter where you go on gw2guru and other gw2 sites, we promote teamliquid as our home community and the number one source for anything starcraft.
In the beginning when this was just an idea, it was about respect for TL and it's brand name, and I hope you understand that.
Edit* We've recently received permission to use TeamLiquid as our guild representation if we so please, so chances are we might just do that for future associations.

Well the first huge dungeon was actually released with an update for prophecies - Sorrow's Furnace ^^. You could even count Underworld (to a lesser extent FoW) as a dungeon. The differentiation is a bit hard to make as in open world games a dungeon is usually an instanced area (no matter if its underground), whereas in gw everything is instanced in the first place. The other few dungeons were endgame content of factions and nightfall and then the huge amount of dungeons were introduced with eotn.
btw neat video gono if thats your entry for the contest - gl
What will make or break GW2 for me is PvP. I played GW1 for more than 2500h since the start of the beta, the PvE in GW1 was good but for me it was a one-time-experience kind of like a singelplayer game, you did the story and then that was that.
PvP was everything in GW1, playing HA and GvG was the most competitive and skill based mmo PvP you will ever find - I really hope that GW2 can match that.
Pure awesomeness. It will be so awesome if it holds it promises. If the GvG and PvP will be balanced and competitive, there will be a huge hype and tournaments comparable to WoW. ESL and maybe even WCG. Im so exited about this game.

This. GW is simply the best multiplayer experience I've ever seen. In brief, it's because you can interact with allies and enemies in so many ways other than "damage" or "heal".
The removal of enchantments, hexes, and ally-targeted skills makes me a little skeptical about GW2, since the huge variety of them was what gave the game such depth.

I'm starting to get a tiny bit skeptical also. I dunno though, if ArenaNet made it so awesome the first time, I'm confident they can do it again (or so I hope).

There seems to be a lot of environmental abilities (like the whole wall of fire thing). I think if Anet really utilizes the concept of altering the environment (and negating changes to the environment caused by your opponents) then GW2 can really become super interactive PvP.

I think its fair for anyone to be skeptical. In regards to that, a few of my friends, some of which never even heard of GW2 in depth, wanted to learn more about it. With the current ArenaNet contest going on, this is a perfect time to look into some of these videos and get a feel for whats making it so popular.
I showed them the above video, among others, and now theyre quite excited for the game. Take the time to watch all of the videos in the OP, some of the production values really shine through them.

Two points. 1) I'm not sure what it means to be interactive--interactive with what? With the environment? With other people? 2) Set that aside. The worry isn't about interactivity in any sense anyway, as far as I can tell. It's about losing the massive pool of effects in GW. Having so many skills with so many unique effects gave you some more versatility in creating builds and more to learn and keep track of in the heat of the moment. Anet has already said that this was a problem for multiple reasons--it was hard to pick up, it was hard to balance, etc.--and that they're setting out to cut down on that variety.
That isn't necessarily a bad thing, in the sense that it could very well make for a better (or at least more successful) game overall. But it still is an important difference, and at least part of this worry is, I think, that Anet won't be able to reinstate all the different styles of play with GW2's more limited pool of effects. Again, that might make for a more successful game overall, but some of us might still be a little disappointed.
For my part, I'm kinda worried, too. Basically, I'm waiting to see what they do with Mesmers. Do we get something that can do the job of the punishment hexes that force your opponents to play differently and make difficult choices? That was part of the problem in GW--you had to know what all those hexes did before you started playing, so that you could know what decisions were being forced on you after just a quick glance at an icon on your screen--so I can understand if they decide they have to simplify the game in that respect. And, again, I'll almost certainly still get (and enjoy) the game. But part of me will be sad, because that sort of depth in things you could do was a lot of the fun for me.

this. gw1 pve was great but the pvp just blew me away. led many teams into the top 200 NA ranking in GvGs. So fun. We thought we were so good with our OP strats until...we faced the fking koreans in the Hall of something place. lets just say it opened our eyes...
