In terms of gameplay, possibly, but I really like Bioware's direction to make a storyline driven MMO. Usually the storyline is actually why I keep playing a MMO, surprisingly. Which was also one of the reasons I liked Guild Wars 1, and I'll like in Guild Wars 2 (with the personal stories and backstories).

I was one of the top guildwars players back in the day PvP wise ... won HoH 50+ times and was in a top 10 world guild for months, beat top guilds such as Sissy Boys, Warmachine etc. I wouldn't mind helping/doing PvP for guild ... though I'll probably forget this thread so just pm me if interested.

Sure, I wouldn't mind, for those who were big in GW my guild was called The Dopplegangers [DoP]. I was one of the first 100 or so people in all of guildwars to achieve rank 9 and walk around with a tiger, took me about a month and a half.
Eventually sold my account as the game was too addicting and needed to focus on school :p

DoP. What was your IGN on Guild Wars? I was one of the people who helped DoP get their tigers. I remember when I hit rank 9 you guys were still rank 6.

I'm certainly going to jump in to GW2 when it launches (or during a beta if one comes along). I played the original for about a year almost constantly. I've lost the thread now, but I'm always ready to jump back in to the second. Sylvari and Asura are vying for my first character.
I'm also loving the TL radio playlist. Just played Steam games for over an hour and felt epic while doing it. Is there a chance you could put out a full list of the songs, in order? There's a song I'm sure I'm familiar with but can't remember what it is to save my life. It starts at about 11 mins in if I recall.

I believe it was Sandstorm Pvp, I was one of the first to get the tigers on my team, maybe you were helping the other members, our gvg team was all fairly high rank.
@Sipher - you remind me of this one time we won HoH and held it for about 6 hours or so, I don't think I ever seen a team win HoH as much as we did in a row that one night!

God I'm getting so impatient for this game.. It feels like all my hope is put on this game for a proper pvp mmo. Ever since i quit DAoC there has been nothing quite like it in terms of a dynamic pvp system and interesting and skill-based mechanics.
Please be good GW2, please be good. Don't be another WoW clone. Please have meaningful and a lasting pvp system
