meh whiteside ridge doesn't look very strong right now. haven't played any WvWvW so far because i want to quest to lvl 80 and finish the story first, but this doesn't look very good =(
I didn't really like WvW anyway, way too much running around which really turns off melee from actually trying to fight in big battles and in the first place it's always one side getting outnumbered in battles which I find boring. Many people probably love it but it's not the kind of PvP I want to do for now at least, maybe once people figure it out more.
Going to stick with mostly SPvP now on and learn multiple professions, feels like I've seen what I wanted to see from rest of the game having hit 80.

Also rangers and necros are particularly good against teams that stack toughness. Condition damage absolutely destroys toughness stackers.
Too bad when yuou actually tell them they're playing ez mode classes they just come back with the standard "umad" "ubad" trash. Much like warriors that spam hb except those are usually not so bad to kill unless you get caught.
Gotta give Henge credit, their premade Alliance just has no opposition or Alliance to contend against. Gotta wait for a server to create opposition or top 3 will be fairly boring. Eredon Terrace has Team Legacy doing their best but that server is a medium pop server. Stormbluff (where im at) is just pug pvp from a high pop server. Few of my friends in PRX on Henge said the queue times are a nightmare though.
I am actually suprised the only other "full" server isnt up there in rank. Its the only server that has a bodycount to organize something vs Henge.

That's funny cause I read a lot of people complaining that rangers are weak right now in group combat (pretty strong in 1v1's though).

:D I'm so glad that I joined Henge Of Denravi. Every time I hit b I see us owning. I think the only time I us behind a server was when we were against Jade Quarry or something. Then a few hours later we dominated them LOL.

Yeah, I wish I would of been on that server lol. Sorrow's furnace is okay, though.
man, i tried necro. i like the general style, but the weapon skills are all messed up, no wonder people say he is weak.
dagger is 100 range, but has no cripple or anything, instead it has a channeled range ability. axe is 600 range and has the cripple dagger needs, but weak damage. staff has the most useless autoattack i have seen yet. etc etc
oh and minion ai seems bugged, they are nothing like ranger pets, they do random stuff all the time. And they love to attack some random enemy and put me into combat.
this class is a mess and buffing some numbers wont fix it, stay away from it.
Right now i have a lot of fun with grenades. I basically just use grenades Oo... Engineer of course.
I tried rifle but it only seems good for CC, the damage seems poor. I feel like grenades do a lot more damage, even single target. And in underwater combat they're fucking imba. Lvl 71 atm.

Mesmers is an easy class now ? Look I understand your frustration but that's the hardest class to play.
I'm on henge too, and though we have lots of WvW success, the queue is extremely long, and if you get disconnected after that long wait it's pretty frustrating. Of course as far as I know server transfers are still free and unlimited so you can go to whatever server you want and the transfer happens in a few minutes time.

Also, while Epidemic is awesome in PvE and WvWvW, it's not quite so useful in sPvP where there aren't always huge zergs around for Epidemic to spread everything onto.
This is so wrong.
Epidemic is a must in sPvP with a condition necro.
I can't count the number of times i've completely destroyed a group of 3-4 people just by spreading ~12bleed stacks + whatever else happens to be on them. The aoe damage output from it is huge. The cooldown is very managable, you will likely get it off 2+ times in a fight, it just gives your team a huge advantage damage wise.
Plus add to it your condition management skills, i.e. plague signet. When you get under to much pressure you can just dump 15+ conditions onto your already conditioned target and (corrupt boon, if viable then) epidemic. Suddenly everyone has to deal with poison (less effective healing), chill (less effective cooldowns), cripple, vulnerability, blind, etc etc. It's rediculously powerful.
Hopefully arenanet will come up with a system that permits a guild to move to a lower pop server. Titanalliance has no plans to move so I think Henge will always be redic queue times but Euro #1 server has same problem, if you are winning you have people server x'ferring for no cost/penalty to just clog up the system even more.
These free xfers are making things worse rather than better because they put no lockouts on full pop servers. You would assume it would be only free if you are moving to low or medium pop. People see a server dominate, server then has X number of xfers to it, server is then just as clogged as the previous one.

You somehow managed to miss the weapon that makes it an extremely viable sPvP and tPvP class. The scepter. Also power necro (axe) isn't completely terrible if you just want to have fun in sPvP, you can still top teams there. As long as i'm not in a blowout match, i almost always hit first or second on my team in pub. Tournament play, condition necros are a huge asset. You can solo hold a point against 3 people long enough for teammates to come, you can last for ages in 1v1 and even win against some classes. In team fights you are rediculously important with your condition management.
It's an extremely viable class, the only problem is that it only has one build that is viable (at least in the format that matters).

^ Agreed. To suggest anything is an "easy" class most likely means you are not seeing it played to maximum potential. Game is brand new, give it time to really flesh out the min/max potential.
