Hopefully someone here can explain why it is so bad. Other games I'm able to run at the highest settings but Guild Wars 2 is a bust. I look at the recommended settings and I seem to pass.
Up to date drivers?

That's the current full release. You really need to download the beta drivers. Shouldn't be hard to find if you head to nvidia.com

Has anyone failed an event yet?
Games kinda meh at low level, I dont feel like the events really mean anything. I thought these events would matter and change the game but they just seem unimportant and disguised as a WoW quest.
Anyone feel the same? or does it change later in the game?

It might be a case of poor cooling. Check your fans, your heatsink, yes clean your innards of your pc.

Anyone know the "teamliquid" of GW2? Team paradigm is so inactive, whats an active site to ask questions, and discuss strategy, builds etc?

I assume you are low level? They do change the world, fail events at higher levels and npc towns and waypoints will be locked out until you drive the invaders away. Dungeons / mini dungeons will become locked. Basically if you fail to keep the world in tip top shape content starts to get locked away or changed. Later on it is also a lot easier to fail (although so far this has been rare as there are tons of people in all the zones) as the champions get strong enough to 1hit more squishy characters.

Since there are so many new players to the game, consider there will be an overabundance of players in the lower-level zones. As you get to higher levels it will be more challenging and have effects, and when the games population is more spread out between levels, even the lower level ones will have some noticeable changes. It's tough to fail when you have 40 people on every event right now.

There really isn't one centralized location like "TL" for GW2, it's much more decentralized.
http://www.youtube.com/user/WoodenPotatoes/videos is a really good youtube channel with daily videos where he talks about all sorts of GW2 related news/lore/mechanics
http://www.guildwars2guru.com/forum is probably the closest thing to something like the mmo-champion forums for WoW
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Main_Page might be seen as the "Liquipedia"

Later on they do matter quite a bit. Me and 30 other failed an event where a big motherfucker of a mob attacked a town. Seing as we didnt kill him he layed seige to the town. That shut down quests, waypoint and it was the major trade hub of the zone. So that was a big deal no doubt

Anyone feel the same? or does it change later in the game? Some power generator event where some walking timebomb went there and I didn't give a shit and just kept doing a heart.
"Event failed" -> 250 exp and some gold
Not bad for doing nothing.

Did you completely remove the old divers with diversweeper or a similiar program? It can cause issues if you don't. Your computer is easily good enough, something's obviously fucked up. Try removing the dust, it might be overheating. Another thing you should try is to uninstall and install different drivers in the case one works. Also try taking the graphics card out and then putting it back in. If it really is GTX 260 it should have no issues with any aspect of the game.

Can I get an invite to the guild? Enki.4295
Only level 3 but enjoying it so far. As pretty much my first MMO though, I am not used to this camera at all yet. Feels really awkward..

As the person above already stated, you will find that constantly holding the right click will feel the easiest, and of course use tab to target an enemy instead of clicking.

You don't have enough RAM. The game constantly has to load textures, etc. from the harddrive instead of being able to load them from RAM which slows down everything.
