I've only completed 56% of queensdale and just turned level 12. I've put in about 5 hours now 6 tops. Haven't done any PvP. Just gathering, exploring, hearts, crafting(barely) and i just recently did half of the starting area. If youre having a hard time leveling because its too slow or not enough to do in the starting area then youre just doing it wrong. It doesnt even make sense to me why somone would be level 14 with the starting location 100% done. Especially if they've been doing everything that I've been doing gathering, crafting, hearts, exploring, storyline. I'm doing exactly that and Im level 12 with 50% of the map done.

One tip that helps though is doing the full zone completions (It gives like 10% of the exp you need for that level when you get the last item you need for zone completion + goodies from a chest, in addition to all the exp you get from vistas/explored areas/etc). So far I've ran the 1-15 zone, two 15-25 zones, and a 25-35 zone and I'm at 35 right now (did lots of exploration, a little crafting, and some WvWvW)

And by spending a little bit more time in a zone helps you fine events too.

I am so out of bank and bag space with all the crafting shit I can't deposit into my collections tab. The fact that I can't sell any of it and I can't get any additional bank slots is cramping my playstyle severely. Not to mention that when these things get online, you have to pay an exorbitant amount of in-game gold or real-world money to get the additional bank/character slots. I have to agree about the trading post, i'm so full of stuff to sell it's not funny. You could try doing what i've done and make mule characters to hold your gear / collectables. Even so i've already filled up two alternate characters backpacks and 4slot bags as well as two bank tabs and my own bags (8slot) with primarily green items, some blues and crafting materials.

Alternatively, if you've gotten to the Township of Claypool in Queensdale you can also craft there. I usually go there because it's smaller and much easier to find things there.

Click it, then click the first option (something about sending crafting materials to your collection). Most basic crafting materials can be sent there. To get access to them, open a crafting station and click the collectibles button on the left.

If not, you should use it because crafting materials in this game have their own bank slots.
