You can tab target stuff but it doesn't guarantee you can hit them. As for quests there are the basic questgivers (they are all marked on your map, no need to search for them) and then random quests will occur every now and again in pre-designated areas (similar to Rift or Warhammer Online if you played those games). There are also other things like hidden areas on each map (which give xp) and if you complete every objective (quests, dynamic quests, hidden areas, etc.) on the map you'll get a big bonus for that as well.


There is actually nothing random about the events. All events are stuck on a chain with several different phases, they never reset or just happen out of nowhere.
And to be honest i have never hit tab once in all 3 weekends. You simply hit what is in front of you if you don't use it. (keep in mind i played melee classes all 3 weekends)

Racials can't be used in sPVP. I believe they can be used in WvW.

1. there is a stress test tomorow:
We will be conducting a stress test on Thursday, August 2 from 12:00 Noon PACIFIC Time to 4:00 PM PACIFIC Time. Unlike previous stress tests, we will be actively working on the game during the event, so you might experience connectivity problems or discover features that are not working as designed. I think the beta client is the same as the release client outside of patches is it not? if you plan to play and don't have a full hard drive I don't see any reason to delete the game files at this point. I could be wrong about the client though.

According to the first email I got for pre-ordering back in I-don't-know-when, they said the launcher/patcher what-not was their temporary half-assed version of the game for us testers. So I'm going to assume the full-release is a completely different setup.

Does anyone know when they mail the game? Because I put my address as my friend's place. I hope it's before 3-day pre-release. I don't want to start downloading 15~20GB of files because they mail the game after release date.

*EDIT: No, I just checked the link they gave me on one of the first emails I got and it no longer says that they were giving us a temporary crude way of running the game. So I don't know.

They actually implemented a ton of UI improvements in yesterday's version.
And I think they put legit tool belt skills for turrets, which is, DAYUM good.

Had fun playing as usual but too short T;T, can't wait until the real deal starts...
