Might change to warrior depending on how thief mechanics have changed on release. Might also change if thief looks to be the champion everyone and their mom is going to be playing, hipster attitude I suppose lol.

Actually contrary to this thread most polls done on reddit and other places suggest thief is going to be one of the least played mainly because they were brokenly bad in BWE1 and 2

More likely than not there'll be a relatively even split between all the professions. Furthermore, considering the flat level curve and the comparatively low grind needed to cap out, I don't think it'll be unlikely that we'll see players running multiple characters with whatever flavor of the month suits the meta game at the time.

People seems to miss understood that a lot because of WoW, LoL and stuff.. A Thief with poison sharing isd a good support, a warrior with banner and warhorn is a good support. A Ranger with animals spirit is a good support, etc

I love that kind of playstyle, you don't have to just play whack a mole healing (in games where that existed), but you bring passive healing, buffs, debuffs, control... it's excellent.

Also Haste + underwater skill is the coolest thing I have ever seen in underground combat, I felt like I was in some kind of animay zipping back and forth striking my foe from many sides. My second character is probably going to be my female engineer named (femshep of course) Lawlgurls Shepard after my short but incredibly enjoyable experience in Mass Effect as a Renegade.

You can tab target stuff but it doesn't guarantee you can hit them. For example you can be strafting in one direction and then when your enemy shoots a projectile you can juke it be strafing the other direction and dodge it (depending on the distance and speed of projectile of course) since auto-targetting tries to predict where your opponent will be. The game uses true line-of-sight so you can also hide behind stuff AFTER the projectile is fired and won't get hit. You can turn off tab-targetting as well in options and manually aim stuff as well. You can think of tab-tagetting in GW2 as an option (e.g. noob-friendly) instead of a requirement. I think once people get better and better the less they will use tab-targetting (for pvp of course), especially meele classes. As for quests there are the basic questgivers (they are all marked on your map, no need to search for them) and then random quests will occur every now and again in pre-designated areas (similar to Rift or Warhammer Online if you played those games). There are also other things like hidden areas on each map (which give xp) and if you complete every objective (quests, dynamic quests, hidden areas, etc.) on the map you'll get a big bonus for that as well.
