PvP sure is fun though if you can get a group of friends together.

Also i'm noticing that some of the npc's in the story line are homosexual. I sort of had to triple-take when I was hearing what I was hearing but I like the fact that they went this route. Really is a step in the right direction for the gaming community because as far as I know it's the first game that has it.

WoW does have better interface design though for PvP, much much better. I think only because there are addons tho, I hope there will be addons for GW2 to make things clear instead of just shapes and colours like it is currently

People that buy GW2 to shove it into WoW users faces are dumb and should buy GW2 if they actually like the game, not to kill WoW O_O WoW does have better interface design though for PvP, much much better. Action MMO's are the only MMO's that are going to take off because we have tab target MMO's covered already. We got that. We have like 40 of those games to play.

Charr have the best 1-15 zone and the best personal storylines. Blood Legion and Iron Legion are all I've experienced to say this, and honestly, both have been fucking amazing in only the first 15 levels.

One thing I wonder about, is if it would be possible to enjoy this game without having to join a clan/guild or something? I'm just too old for that sort of thing, but I am interested in the game (mostly WvW). Are there randomly matched sPvP? Although I suppose that wouldn't be very "structured". :D

Guild Wars 2 is basically the sole shining hope on the horizon for an MMO that doesn't involve endless raiding, farming and grinding.

Take away the grind from an MMO, you dont have anything left.

Although I suppose that wouldn't be very "structured". :D The entire leveling system is based around being able to do huge, epic things without having to be in a group or clan. A big group boss like a Flame Effigy or something is going down, and everyone in the area gets a message saying "Hey, go kill this shit" and everyone comes and kills the shit. Where normally you would have to get a group of people and go on your merry way. Even world bosses are being made this way. WvW works similarly, there are events going on in there and in smaller groups you can do much smaller things like disrupting supply lines or taking our small encampments or something while the big guilds take out keeps, or you can even join the big groups in attacking. And I dont know if they changed it, but sPvP works browser based where you can join matches and shit like you would any other PC gamer with dedicated servers. It's pretty nifty. I know when he said that, and it was funny in the context of the video but anyone who seriously thinks a game taking out one of the most boring and dreadful aspects of a video game genre is going to make it bad is beyond stupid. ![]() My biggest issue with this game, and maybe it's just me, is that some classes dont FEEL like they're doing anything. Like in WoW when I shot a fireball, I saw a big blast of fire and I knew I was doing something. When I'm playing, say, a Mesmer or Ranger, it doesn't feel like I'm accomplishing anything. Even when I played a DoT class or something in WoW it had the visual effects to go with what I was doing. When I'm playing a Mesmer for instance, it just feels like stacking Confusion and Might on Allies: the class while I do little. And Ranger feels like I'm shooting a pea shooter half the time. I've thoroughly enjoyed Engineer, Thief, Elementalist and Warrior for those reasons. That when I'm doing shit with them, I KNOW I'm doing shit and I can see how.

All I know is since playing a Thief today I've had way more fun than I did on ranger. Ranger was one of the classes I felt like I would enjoy too because of the spells, especially in PvP. But it just felt boring as fuck. Yeah I could do a lot of maneuvering like jumping around and shit but you dont do anything while you're doing that either.
