Ended up just picking up a full Nexus set for my priest (well minus weapon, not sure what I'll do for my weapon just yet) mainly because I had many tokens on my zerker so I thought why not. Debating on Lancer, Sorc or Archer as my 3rd toon to level up. I'd rather do Archer or Sorc, but being a lancer and having instant dungeon queues could be a change of pace while leveling. Plus having 1dps, 1 healer & 1tank for my 3 toons would be nice. Although, I think Archer or Sorc would be more fun for me because they do very well in world PvP as well as CS & Fraywinds. Hmmm the choices! | ||

But queue time sucks even at max level. Although t's debatable if it's important or not. While lancer almost don't have to wait in queue... Do you want some baddies to ruin your run, especially if it'll be some instance which you can do once a day (assuming that you don't have an elite status). Like KNX/KNXX or new MFNM/MFHM (wonderholme in NA version)? Means you'll be either running with friends/guild or at least will group with people from LFG chat, so you can inspect before run. That said, it's actually nice to run some easy instances every now and then (and at almost anytime you want), like AC or ToT, without waiting 1+ hour in queue. Not for profit ofc, just for fun and some variety. Edit: I agree that lancers and healers are amazing in pvp. But It's a completely different playstyle. If you like killing people instead of providing cc and healing support, then you'll need a sorc/archer. Also that lancer's (also warrior's, but since I dont play one I don't really care) resolve thing. One of the most stupid decisions by BHS ever, imo. It's fine in pve most of the time, since you still want to do damage to hold agro and shield counter is used at every boss for agro/resolve generation. But in mass pvp, especially in CS... You can't block a damn thing if it's more than 3-4 enemy players around. And there's no way to get any resolve back (other than second wind, which has way too long cd to be effective). Ofc they have other uses, like support locking and tanks/cannons distraction/killing, but that's kinda limited usage. In a small scale pvp they are godly though. | ||

It sucks because I want to do a bunch of instances on my priest right now, but with the new patch coming this tuesday it just doesn't seem worth it. Currently I'm just doing Nexus when I can as well as vault to get the jewelry (although I think the jewelry from this new patch is going to be better?) | ||

Also those new rings have 8 crit rate base bonus instead of 3% damage/5% healing/3% agro. And I think that they can't roll the crit damage bonus twice, so at best they will be 8 crit rate, 0.04 crit damage and 2 crit rate for dps. Or just one 4.5% heal/10 crit rate for healers. And while 8 crit rate looks awesome, 3% damage or 5% healing is huge to lose. Bonus from two jewelry items is 3% damage and 3% heal. So far I'd say it's worth to get a necklace and at least 1 earring, assuming it will provide a bonus too. But probably not for zerkers, because they don't need attack speed at all (in pve). They can get 2 earrings though. Rings seems meh, unless you're going for a crit rate build (with new crit rate equip sets max crit rate will be like 400+). But a loss seems way too big to bother with that. | ||

What's the verdict on the difficulty for these new instances? Am I going to be able to heal it in Abyss gear or think that's too low? Also, I have a feeling I'm going to be downloading this patch all day tomorrow. Sucks being away from home and having piece of shit internet. | ||

But yeah, you know how NA Tera works. In order to do some instance, you should have all gear from that instance. LF>ilvl 171 for BoLHM. -.- And most of stuff from new instances is BoP, but there's a small chance of BoE drops. Edit. Patch notes up. Nothing surprising though. Well, at least to those who are following KTera's updates. Oh and someone who's playing KTera confirmed that 2 new earrings + necklace works to get all 3 bonuses from new jewelry set. Which is actually awesome, 3% damage/healing and 4% attack speed for free. Maybe it'll be worth it even for zerkers, since in future patch charging speed will be affected by attack speed. Unless they'll remove it, since it actually makes archers even more OP in pvp than they are already. | ||
