Hahaha, Danny, I did the same thing. Idk why I tracked stats while trying to watch the game. As long as you aren't tracking stats though, you'll be okay. To me, I think I'd rather see it at a bar or something. Skip watching it alone on your computer... but this is big time, imo, it's not often I get to see my home team knock those fudge Packin' cheese heads out of the fucking playoffs.

The problem is his defensive philosophy. When you have three star players, each at key positions, there is no reason to not have a dominant defense. Mario Williams is a stud, Clay Matthews, Demeco Ryans, and they had Dunta Robinson and where was the defense? Middle of the road. With a roster like that, there's no reason that defense wasn't top five. There's hardly a reason they've never made the playoffs. Winning that division is one of the hardest things to do in the NFL, with Manning and the Colts reigning over it, but not even making a wild card? Even if they lose both games to Indy every year, there are still fourteen other games to get a wild card with! I think it's time to say "no more excuses for this team," and make the change. They're in perfect position to do so, as the team is still young, so aging players are not a very big concern for them.

Mangini is another guy that needs to be fired. He hasn't performed with Cleveland, which isn't entirely his fault, but he's still an idiot.

Norv Turner is another guy in the position of Gary Kubiak. How has this team not seen an AFC Championship in so long? How are they so ill-prepared at the beginning of every single season? For the past five years they were given a practical auto-berth into the playoffs, and they still had great difficulty making it. That roster has far too much talent to allow Turner to keep ruining it. He's a brilliant offensive mind, like Kubiak, but a head coach he is not.

Agree with this 100%, but in Cincinnatti the issues go beyond Marvin Lewis. Can't blame him for all the patheticness when your general manager keeps dropping players with "character issues" in your lap. The GM needs to take more responsibility and be more selective of the players he brings in.

Edit: Clay Matthews isn't on the Texans team. He's with the Packers. Not sure if you meant someone else there

I meant Brian Cushing. I switch them up all the time, because they're both from USC.

Qatol, you can't take a draft pick because it doesn't appear to be a decision the team was a part of, or even encouraged. That said, I think the NFL should have removed the coach themselves, since they seem to have the power to do whatever they want. I don't think he should ever be allowed back in the league. That would keep anyone from even considering something this stupid in the future.

I don't know, I still feel like the team deserves it. The guy forming the wall and doing the tripping was the guy appointed by the team to keep people away from that part of the sidelines. That's on the team for giving that guy that kind of authority and responsibility, and I feel like they should be responsible for what he did with that power.

I'm worried that they let the Packers in because they are resting their starters. Bennett, their best WR (and I know that isn't saying much, but still....) is probably not going to play. If Cutler starts seeing much pressure, I feel like the coaches will pull him instead of risking another concussion. But if they play hard and play everyone, it should be a really fun game to watch.

Going to the Seahawks game tomorrow! Seats are okay but it is going to an awesome game! I just hope the homefans (me!) can give them enough support to overcome their lack of ability. Plz!

Also to comment on Tripgate:
The situation seemed to be an individual incident that was a very poor decision by one individual. The team should not be punished for his lack of judgment. Although I think the Jets should have dealt with it internally by either suspending him for the season or firing him. The league sent a bad precedent and definitely let the guy off the hook. Taking a draft pick from the Jets wouldn't have punished the individual but the team and by all indications the team had nothing to do with it, thus it would be unfair.

I know it's a meaningless game, but I'm excited for Lions-Vikings. Imagine how awesome it'd be if the Lions ended the season on a four game winning streak. It'd be such a great building point for next season.

No way he sucks. He's been way too good in his limited action to this point. That guy is the real deal if he can stay on the field.

Good luck keeping Stafford's shoulders healthy with the defenses in that division (all 3 are top 10 right now). Stafford is going to need better protection to make that happen and most analysts are predicting the Lions draft defense heavily. However, they have a lot of young talent and I think they can be competitive next season without Stafford. I wouldn't be surprised if they made a move in the offseason to pick up a better backup QB.

And hopefully Jahvid Best can stay healthy so they have some kind of a running game for once. The Lions are great at throwing but can't run for shit.

Edit: They could also reduce the stupid penalties too. They could probably have another win or two if they didn't lead the NFL in penalties.

What happened to Kevin Smith? Has he been hurt this season or something? I seem to remember him being pretty good a year or two ago.

Pretty much what GTR said.

I remember when I first started going to the games when I was little we had James Stewart, he was a 1,000 yard rusher. Then we had Kevin Jones get 1,000 in his rookie year, and fizzled out. And now the same with Kevin Smith. So I have a lot of hope invested in Jahvid Best. When he's healthy he's really explosive. But no one is explosive with a double turf toe. : /

No that's not awesome. It'll be better to see the Rams because they'd be the 2nd team to go from 1-15 to playoff berth. If Whitehurst plays, we'll most likely stomp you guys and we even did so with your beloved Hasselbeck in week 4. I've heard that Qwest Field's 12th man won't be giving much momentum and in fact, a portion of Seahawks fans wanting to lose the game for a potential long term answer.

Predictions: Packers own the Bears before the Bears rest any starters, and then the Bears rest Cutler and Bears fans say they would've won if Cutler stayed in. But then in the 4th quarter, Packers put in Matt Flynn because we're already ahead by so much, and Flynn scores 2 more touchdowns. gg =] playoffs here we come!
