![]() Baby raised on a shield, Kallyr, most potential character in the game, unless she happens to die from the 5236 random events that generally kill your nobles in the game (King of Dragon Pass, pure genious of a game)

You got as much in a group as you did of most infantry, and it's upkeep was cheap enough for you to use them as garrison troops. It was good against armoured units, and everything was good vs unarmoured units, which made it pretty much good vs everything. So it was a cheap, plentiful, low tech, quick cavalry unit that was good vs everything, pretty ridiculous, it's a shame they nerfed it later to a more reasonable size group >< On February 17 2012 11:17 leperphilliac wrote: As for my choice the damned Spartans in Rome Total War. If it's not some weird mod of RTW, your doing it wrong, infantry is only useful for pinning things in place for heavy cavalry. If you are going to try to kill spartan hoplites with other infantry then it's going to hurt alot :D

Then you had Death Knights in their original incarnation, I remember having a Rdruid partner who went grey at 21 because of death plague consuming all his HoTs. Don't know if the thread is confined to video games, but previous edition Vampire Counts were fucking ridiculous sometimes. Units of 40-60 Ghouls that if they beat you in combat, and outnumbered you (which they would), would auto-break you. Also the entire army of Daemons.

Apocalypse tanks from Red Alert 2, armoured to the teeth, unkillable by infantry (well, it'd take a good 30 GI all in defensive stance a good 5 seconds just to kill one of the bastards) and they were good vs tanks, plus had a decent anti-air gun. If they managed to upgrade to elite it was game over there and then, they had inbuilt self-regeneration as it was, but when they got to elite it pretty much tripled that regen rate. Also, gotta say pre-nerf reapers at start of SC2 :D Desert oasis 7 gas 9 rax get into their base and wipe mineral lines? funfun! Plus the 7 rax reaper junk that came after vs zerg xD

Season five Hunters for example, when Explosive Shot was broken and would tick for 5x or 6x the ordinary damage.
