Well, this was just another weekend to cry myself to sleep as a Schalke fan I don´t get it .... really good game vs Valencia, still in the CL, and then... yeah. Losing 2:1 after getting 0:1 lead vs Mönchengladbach, nr. 18 (and therefore last) in the Bundesliga... i raged sooooo hard and yelled at my TV ...
They always do that to me. Playing a few great or at least good games vs really good clubs, and then completely and utterly FAIL as hard as possible.... WAAAARGH

Which is what I would base it upon, especially when you regard average market value.
On a side note, Bremen collapsing and Dortmund marching on and on and on...
I follow this site too but i gotta say, Dortmund is grossly over-rated...Except for their goalie... The goalie is probably top 3 in the Bundesliga and the unofficial captain while Kehl is injured. The way things are looking Kehl will never see a full game again :p (Bender/Sahin too good)
I wonder if Dortmund will decide to sell of some of their young stars in the summers. Usually they like to hold on to them but with the number of successes, they may decide to sell a few.
Its always hard to judge young players, as they tend to not remain their performance level. But the players at Dortmund, although rather young, have performed really well for the second season in a row now, so they might actually deserve the attention they get right now. Although I agree some values are crazy high.
On the summer transferring, it's hard to call. Dortmund avoided bankruptcy a few years ago, I don't know how far they have consolidated. They won't let the majority of the young players leave the club, but there are certain cases (Weidenfeller because of age, Sahin because of his pure class) which I suppose to be transfered after this season.
weidenfeller just got a new contract, I doubt he will go. Dortmund is hardly overrated. They have a really good team, although they lack the experience on the international level. They will have a difficult time in the CL next season.

Depends on further investement and performance I would say. For example the scores at the end of euro league didn't tell the whole story, they were better in every single game and dropped out by one goal in a strong group with a team filled with rookies, the experienced they gained in this season will do them a huge favour.
Hence, if they can perform the same they did this season on international level, they are even Champions League playoff material. But they will at least qualify for Euro League playoffs and go deep in that.
On Weidenfeller: You see new contracts before transfers so often in football nowadays, plus the stories that satellited the contract renewing were bothering. But I guess on the other side, the opportunity to play Champions League next season will let him stay, he is not that good that he can sign at another club that does aswell.

Hard to believe when they have a keeper like neuer.

Well, it's true, impressive performances in the Champions League are followed by sloppy and half-hearted games in Bundesliga, especially against weaker teams, story of the season at Schalke.
Neuer is the exception, he is playing his best season so far, maybe even the best keeper in the world right now, just pure impressive. But despite his love for the club as he is was a supporter himself, I'm not sure if he will stay for another season if Schalke doesn't improve drastically in Bundesliga and somehow qualifies for international business.

Yeah, but in your "regular" Bundesliga game, Neuer is often if not always the best Schalke player on the field. In the derby vs Dortmund, which is always one of the most anticipated and most emotional games for any BvB/Schalke fan every season (ok, with Dortmund THAT good this season playing vs them is not your "regular" game) , it was more of a game "Manuel Neuer" vs "Borussia Dortmund" ... the game ended 0:0 with a statistic of ... I don´t even know exactly.. about 20:3 shots at the goal...
Its just so disappointing to see them play really, really good in some games and like a bunch of amateurs without a clear concept in the next one.
Dzeko is a talent, but I don't know how he's going to fit into City's scheme. I feel like their new owners have the same problem Abramovich at Chelsea has; namely that he sees a good player and says "Oh, talent! Must buy!" and pulls out the pocketbook. Not all players fit into all systems, as Fernando Torres can tell you. Owners and talent scouts should check with managers to see what players they need/want.

Neuer to Man Utd please. Adler is a childhood Man Utd supporter but Leverkusen won't let him leave.
This won't happen. ManU are out of the "Big spending" game. Now they are trying to raise players rather than spending ridiculous amounts on players in clubs that know ManU have deep pockets.
+ they've already brought in a goalie, Anders Lindegaard, over the summer and they also have Kuszczak that has been dieing to get a chance as ManU's #1. Kuszczak beat out Ben Foster for #2 spot but will probably never get to be #1. I think they want Lindegaard to take over after VDS after he retires. Kuszczak really needs to get the hell out of ManU because he could be the starter for almost any other premiere league team. So ya, I really don't think Neuer will go to ManU

Albiol, Arbeloa, Benzema, Lass, Garay, Granero, Pepe and Dudek have lost once with Madrid. Adebayor has lost twice with Monaco, Xabi once with Real Sociedad and once with Madrid, Carvalho and Mourinho tied while with Oporto, Cristiano tied twice while with Manchester and lost once with Madrid, as did Kaká with Milan. Khedira lost while with Stuttgart."
