Absolute horrible, and when Anelka plays like a fish in the water (as we say in danish) there's nothing you can do. He was in hopla. Would you prefer that Denmark were not given a spots for the champions league? Regardless of how you played, you are still entitled to have a team represent you.

We'll risk having six teams in European tournaments next year, with some of them being closer to League One sides than the bottom of the Championship, and that's going to make it hard to get a decent coefficient for 2011/2012. Its a general problem for weaker leagues with a few outstanding teams, like Scotland, Denmark, Rumania. The top teams advance, gather tons of points because there are no other teams to average it down again, and then 3 or 4 mediocre teams play European Level and drop the points drastically again. The inconsistency of the coefficient is a problem in the mid levels, which might be adressed a bit better as they changed the computation to weight Champions League Playoffs more, that might help a bit.

It just makes me sad to see Arsenal miss so much... Well 1-0 anyway. Go Arsenal! On February 24 2011 05:28 Azza wrote: Fabregas went off injured after 14mins ![]() It's just a strain and Wenger took him off, can't blame him. Well...that's what I hope lol.

Well it's far worse with the Danish league since we've recieved a UEFA Fair Play spot the last three years in a row. Now if they bump our coefficient up to 12th place (cba to check up on it right now, but pretty sure that's where we are ending), we'll have two teams in the CL qualification, #3 and #4 in the Europe League qualification and the Cup winner in the EL qualification. If we then also get a Fair Play spot - which seems rather likely, we'll end up with 6 teams out of 12 in European competitions. Not 3 or 4, but half the league. Geez. The CL Playoffs are weighted more already, since you get more points for reaching them than the EL playoffs.

Yes, thats what I meant, they changed the weighting 2 years ago, before that it was even worse as Uefa Cup gave you the same amount of points as Champions League per match. Denmark is on 12 now, and was 15 last season, if you can't find an english site for Uefa rankings, you can look up this one: http://www.5-jahres-wertung.de/APD/Online/5-Jahres-Wertung.htm Although its german, its rather self-explanatory and almost exclusively numbers, and the guy dates it up on a daily basis. And I even forgot the Fairplay spot, thats a true factor aswell indeed.
