I only found 1 unity but I have ~8 because of lootshare. Same with first men, destruction, vanished peak, fury, judgement, furnace ( all nonancient) etc, all from lootshare. And not really my issue if I have found ~200 ancient shoulders but no single ancient weapon. Looks like I have a specific loottable :/

I played saturday for the first time with 4player with this patch, got them all multiple times via lootshare.

This past weekend I had the worst luck ever. Wasted probably 4k shards for a single (legs)piece of the UE set... And still didn't get it from there. Fortunately 4 of the pieces dropped from mobs and 2 came from the Kanai's cube.
I'm still unsure what gems I should use with UE Demon hunter. (I usually don't play DH) So far I leveled Bane of the stricken, because it's a safe bet... Not sure about the rest. Maybe Taeguk+Zei's...

Yeah my stash is also nearing full, all 5 tabs are currently almost full with various legendaries (PC).
I rarely threw legendaries away before and with Kanai's Cube I'm keeping them even more.
Guess I'll just have to start throwing them into the Cube to save space!

I did get a nice combo with the Cube and my Wizard that is working nicely.
Pride's Fall has an affix where all resource costs are reduced by 30% as long as you don't take damage.
Not getting hit, taking damage.

Using a combination of Wildebeest Gizzard's rank 25 shield and the Wizard own passive shield skill, I get a ~180k shield that rarely breaks completely, keeping the buff up. Even if I take 170k damage as long as the shield doesn't break, neither does the buff. And if it does break, it's only 5 seconds of not getting hit to get it back up (yey Teleport).

Combined with the Meteor staff I found yesterday (which itself was crap but its affix was good) I can freely spam Meteor at only 14 AP.

At least a few patches ago, you'd get a set piece every 3k shards or so, so 4k shards without your set wouldn't be anything to raise your eyebrows at. I think they buffed kadala since, but there are also more sets, so I wouldn't feel too sorry for myself. Actually seems like you were lucky with drops overall, but choose to feel unlucky for just below average from kadala.

Took about 25 minutes today to find my 4th, 5th and 6th Uliana Set piece, the focus to my restraint and get a flow of eternity with kanais cube. Ran out of greater rift keystones but that pushed me ~20grift levels higher than what my gear allowed me to do before : ) What a fun set. This is how diablo should feel.
I'm going to have a great time until thornsader and melee-dh become a thing next patch.

I think creating a 6 item set(seeker of the light) for blessed hammer is a bad idea from blizzards part. With the Guard of Johanna and Gabriel's Vambraces there is almost no item slots left to customize. I am not saying it should be easy to find them, my main gripe is these items are really good but they are almost irreplacable for their slots.

I think sets with only 3-4 components are the best for creating more builds. At least there is the cube now for legendary passives. So it is not that bad

I feel like buffing kadala and making kanais have such a great way of rerolling set pieces to another slot has honestly been a big detriment to this season. The fun in diablo (at least for me) is achieving that full set of ancient gear (or close to it) and doing a little (and I do mean a little) bit of gr pushing. With the current changes theyve taken a chunk of the end game out for instant gratification without really providing anything in return. Also, paragon levels need to be removed or capped at 800.

I'm sure I'm probably alone in that thought, but I'm also sure that were I to log in a month or so 50% of people playing will be waiting for the next season.

Keep in mind you cannot reroll a set item into an Ancient version.
You'll only get a regular set item. I will admit I used it to get the final two pieces of Tal Rasha's set after getting a duplicate and having one set item (the amulet) being crap. Rerolled them and am now flinging Meteors all over the place.

Having lots of fun and it while it does make it more easy to get a full set, is that really that bad?
For rerolling you still need a set item, so getting a double is now helpful, but you still can't get an Ancient that way.

For those who want to grind away they can still do so to get a full Ancient set.

You can reroll items in the cube to make it ancient using hope of cain, unless they patched that to not have the 1/10 chance on set items recently.

And yeh I do think that a game almost entirely based around grinding can have 99.9% of the work done in like 10-15 hours if you're playing efficiently in a group is dumb.

Wouldn't you have to grind a massive amount to reroll each set item into an Ancient?

If I got the numbers right, its 10 Forgotten Souls to reroll a set item to another one. (which one is random so you can get doubles)
To reroll it with Hope of Cain, you need 50 Forgotten Souls for each attempt.

Assuming 8 set item rerolls for a 6 item set (getting 2 doubles) and then 1/10 chance for the Ancient:
8x10 = 80 Forgotten Souls to get the 6 set items, none of which will be Ancient.
6x50x10 = 3000 Forgotten Souls assuming that 10% chance and having to roll 10 times for each one (some may take more, some may take less)
Keep in mind that even an Ancient roll can still suck.

Now I'm nowhere near the top level or running lvl 60-70 rifts, but even half that (1540 Forgotten Souls) would take me months to acquire by myself. Maybe I'm missing something by not speed running low level rifts in groups or something but still, that is a massive amount of Forgotten Souls.

You don't need to reroll all of them lol, how it works is you have lets say 5 out of the 6 pieces (4, if you use rorg i suppose), a pair of boots drop when you're already using them and suddenly you have a 6/6 set character (which is a massive, massive, massive upgrade) which then allows you to farm like 5-10 times as fast, sometimes more depending on the class. Suddenly a weapon drops that would be amazing for you when it rolls well but it drops as a piece of shit. At that point funnelling 500-1000 souls into a weapon is not unviable given how many souls are dropping these days, seriously that goblin shrine rofl.

In any event, the real power of the cube isn't to get everything wicked rolled (it's good for that dont get me wrong), it's to close the gap between set bonuses (And obviously to put on specific effects on you) and get you 95% of the way there really quickly, which again I think is dumb, because for most people, and endless grind of the same shit to get paragons and a vey small chance of an item upgrade is a boring end game.

Btw, the math we both did was horrible, you have no guarantee of having a set item reroll to what set piece you want it to, but you get the picture.

I recently came back to the game and noticed a few things: 1.the game is way easier now, I'm playing hardcore for the added rist of dying, and altough I'm in the Act 2 which is very early I haven't even been close to dying. 2.-The increased the drop by a lot, maybe too much. I've had 5 legendaries drop so far, in the past, I had to wait until inferno act 3 to get my first legendary, and it was a shit one. I think they should have made legendaries better so you didn't get a shit one, but not increase their drop rate, frankly they don't seem legendary anymore, they are like the new rares (I could be wrong though, maybe I'm just lucky).

Something I liked though, is that they changed Mahgda's boss battle, it is way better now, have they changed any other boss battles? Also, I don't understand very well how to get to the new cube thing they implemented?

I know what you mean. It's both a blessing and a curse, because it reveals IMO the greatest flaw with D3, which is that so much of the endgame is gated behind a wall of RNG. You cannot progress until you get your 6 set and an ancient weapon and in the end it all comes down to rolls. With Kadala alone it comes down to volume but now with the Cube it makes it easier than ever to just reroll the item you have until it has acceptable stats, and then you can reroll it AGAIN at the mystic.

Why do you think paragon levels need to be removed or capped? IMO they're a great addition to the game, but what really hurts them is that they are global. I wish they were character specific like in vanilla.

The grind to get paragon is one of the constants in this game. It's a time investment. The only downside is how ridiculously OP 4 man groups are...and I usually play solo or two man. Then again, I started this season late, so it doesn't really matter. I'm just here to see what cool stuff I can do with the Cube.

I can see how it might be boring to get paragon points, etc, but for me as a HC player the end game is to see how far I can push GR before I die, which is IMO pretty satisfying at the end of each season. It gives a purpose to everything else. It's probably a bit different as a SC.

I dunno about you guys but I feel like I'm finding a lot more ancient pieces of gear this season. I've played 30 or so hours on the season and by my chart keeping I've de'd around 35 ancients and thats not even counting what I'm wearing or things like the near perfect Flying Dragon and Inna's Hold I have just sitting around in my chest because they're kinda useless for Uliana's.

Speaking of Uliana's it has to be by far the best monk set to play. I'm actually enjoying playing monk for the first time without feeling like I'm shoehorned into a crappy gimmicky build like RotS made me feel last season.

They added a new waypoint in act 3, you can find it top right on minimap. You have to seek the whole map because you dont get notificed if you are close to the cube.

i read that they are starting to have issues at the really high end of paragon because people get so much free main stat
