I'm at a pretty awkward spot right now, because I have a lot of good stuff, only missing 1-1 set pieces from akkhan and roland (with rorg), but without them it's pretty much a clusterfick. I just equip the legendary bombardment belt (the 6 seconds one), and everything in T5 dies with ease. In T6 not only it's much slower, but I also take a million damage, so I definitely need one of the sets finished before I can venture there.
In the end I got 3 organs, collected another 4 keys pretty fast, got the 4th organ, aaaaaand... Righteousness. Yeah, fuck that. At least I got 10 achievement points, so #worth!

In 3 days i got all roland's set and yesterday completed akkhan's because i got that ring from act I that lets you have sets bonuses with one less piece. Still i'm pretty noob and afraid of dying stupidly because of my slow computer, i'm wondering how much toughness i should have by now to be able to handle t4 - t5 all by myself.

I can do T4 after like 6 hours (including 1-70, got boosted from 1-40), and one T4 Rift on ladder gives me .5 more legendaries than a T6 run on non-ladder. That's not to say anything about those Goblins... I got four of those groups of goblins already, in one day. Whereas I've never seen a group of them before non-ladder, with Paragon levels nearing 400. from blizzard:
While everyone's luck is different, and while no two gameplay experiences are going to be exactly the same, I'd like to clarify that there's no difference in drop rate between Seasonal and non-Seasonal characters in Diablo III (although I can see how having a bad streak of luck might lead one to that conclusion).
Anyway, hope that helps! With that question answered, I'll be closing this thread.

Paragon 400 takes like 2 days to get, so that's not really a large sample size.

Well, took me about a year.

I stopped this season at 30 something hours playtime and had 3 big goblin packs and had also never seen one before(probably 10 times more playtime). But I don't feel season gives more legendaries than non-season just that we get faster and faster with the new stuff they put in.

On April 26 2015 03:26 SixStrings wrote: Well, took me about a year. Haha, yeah, depending on the way you experience the game, you can have very differing conclusions about it. I'm happy for my first hellfire, but some group of friends can probably make a million ones a day, then don't even mention those groups/clans who aim at the top of the leaderboard!
Personally, I don't mind my pace, I know I wouldn't have a shot carving my name on those lists, so I'm fine by experiencing everything and not rushing it. There's still tons to do, before I could reach the point where I absolutely needed a group.
What makes me a tad bit sad, is that I haven't found an ancient in 50~ hours.

Hey guys, haven't played this game for ages, but I'm looking to get back into it. I'm looking for a good solo build to play on normal, preferably with gear that is relatively easy to get, any recommendations?
Edit: I don't really care what class, they're all fun

FML got 5x Bul-Kathos Solem Vow, including 2x ancient but still no sight of the other one Also only 1 IK Boulder Breaker that rolled REALLY shit.
Anyone here plays barb on hc? So far I did GR33 but I don't think I can get higher without dying (or maybe switching gems). My dmg is good, and depending on the rift I can do it in 4-6 minutes but I still proc anti-death passive if I get waller with something nasty. I know lack of IK weapon and perma WOTB holds me back but still, with my gear I figured I should get higher. I'll link my profile after I'm back from work.
The gems I used in GR33 was Pain Enchancer 27, Taeguk 25 and Wreath of Lightning 25. I also have Molten Wildebeest's Gizzard at 24, but I forgot to switch it for the run I figured over 30k health regen should help with survival. Esoteric Alteration is next up for leveling.

Is this the same game since April of last year? Or has there been dramatic changes to the meta.

There's a lot of more item sets, items, and balance changes that have opened up many more playstyles. Seasons and Seasons-exclusive items are probably the biggest game changer.

You want Tasker and Theo gloves, Mask of Jeram helm, and Starmetal Kukri knife. Tasker and the Mask you can gamble for shards (I got a mask like 2 gamble attempt at level 50 was at max shards haven't gotten another one since)
I'm currently farming T5 on HC without the Mask or Starmetal and its been quite easy so far.

Aren't both Tasker and Theo, and Starmetal pretty rare though?
On that note, can I gamble Tasker and Theo as wizard, or do I need a WD?

I am running a pretty standard tal-rahs build (I think), but as I don't have tasker and theo yet, I made a little alteration. Let me know what you think. http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/SlkCascade-2516/hero/22556342 Basically, I take the tal-rasha gloves (instead of magefist), and take the slow-time helm instead of the tal-rasha helm. I then exchange my energy armour (!!) for slow time. I lose quite some toughness, but the all-rune slow time is worth soooo much in terms of not getting hit in the first hand, and increases DPS a fair bit. It also works well with illusionist that I have anyway. Does anyone know how hydra works with slow time 10% attack-speed boost? snap-shot at cast, or updated over time? Actually, same thing for the tal-rasha stacks... is the hydra snap-shotted with the tal-rasha stacks I have at cast, making ite very important I have 4 stacks + arcane dynamo when I cast it?
I play quite a lot in teams (which is why I don't have unity), and the others love the slow time obviously, and less toughness is less of an issue if there's a tank on the team, or at least people around to res me.
All in all the build has a silly amount of cc now with blizzard, stun-teleport (use with care!), black hole and slow time.

I think you even need to be pretty lucky to get your TnT after 2000 shards. Or I am very unlucky.

If I understood it correctly Hydra changes it's damage dynamically with your buffs. Slow time is a special case. The hydra profits from the attack speed while you stand in the bubble independently from where the hydra is. A case that works the other way is zei's legendary gem which treats the hydra as an own unit that gets the buff even when you are in melee range.
