edit: oh, and I hate how in game skill descriptions have no numbers. if blizz thinks it would be ugly and too rar, then just put it in a different tab or something. Regarding your edit: Options -> Gameplay -> Show detailed tooltips or whatever it's called. Gives you at least most of the numbers.

Because for someone who has no clue what he is doing it will force a balanced selection of skills. it hand holds you to mediocrity. there is no good, viable build that would use the skills as non-elective mode would highlight and it never informs you that you can choose your own skills after you've played a bit. It's not really intuitive to go check the gameplay settings to see if you can change the skills around so it mostly just makes very new, very bad players stuck in a never ending cycle of bad builds.

edit: oh, and I hate how in game skill descriptions have no numbers. if blizz thinks it would be ugly and too rar, then just put it in a different tab or something. once you reach lvl 70, the best way to gear is to do rifts until you get a greater rift key. once you get the GR key, play through to the end of the rift, but do not kill the greater rift guardian. note the time left before you exit the GR. play bounties at the highest level you can play while waiting for the timer to go down to less than 4 minutes. once it does, go back into GR, kill the guardian. when the lady pops up, upgrade the key. it should go one level up if you waited long enough. rinse and repeat. you will get legendary items and all of the legendary gems. plus, you will get bounty bags. also, trick to the teleport. when you tp from greater rift, in order not to lose that tp right next to the guardian, make sure you never use a tp again. so, when you do bounties, use the map to teleport to new bounties or teleport back to town. do not use the tp key. then, when you are ready to fight guardian, use map to get back to town, go into your tp and its in the greater rift. if you dont do this, you have to run the whole rift until you find guardian. once you are semigeared and have all the gems, just do rifts at the highest level you can do to get better gear. once you have decent gear, you can start leveling up your gems in greater rifts. edit: i should add that the bounties should be done on t1 or higher. that way you have a chance at torment level exclusive drops.
The cutoff to make your Key bump up only one level is 4:30 remaining.
Not to be a dick or anything, but sometimes waiting that extra 30 seconds a rift can be excruciating.

Why would you want to only bump 1 level? To get more easy GR levels before hitting too much of a gear check?

GR level 1 is so easy (like normal level), but its likely to net you a legendary item or at least some usable rares.

Is it worth trying to look for some parties, or am I better off just soloing stuff?

*screams into pillow*
I'm not even sure if I should be mad or not, this is amazing. This feels like someone just told me I had a million dollars in my backpocket for years now, I just never checked it.
I remember hovering over it once, but I thought it only allowed me to change the limited skills' hotkeys. I'd give a rant, how stupid that I did not even get a notiication window after level X that says "hey Volband, did you know...", but I have to try this out now, so maybe later!

currently have a pretty sickly geared bubble wiz with a godly triumvirate, but no tal'rasha as of yet. my question is which gems should I look towards leveling for either set?
also, are there any good builds for the new frost gem?

Ha I found out about elective mode yesterday. I knew it was there but i thought it would never allow you to have 2 skills out of the same region, because you could do so much more damage. I feel so silly, thought it was only there so you can rearrange your skill order. Oh well it adds more fun for this season XD.

I lost my Wizard stupidly at level 45 this season and now I can't be arsed to do the first levels again.
Could someone be persuaded to do a couple of rifts with me on EU Season? I will return the favour once I can, of course.

No time left has no influence on loot but its faster to wait a couple of minutes per rift and only go up 1 level then to go full out when you are farming for the legendary gems because you dont need to get multiple keystones and you kill everything fast in low Grifts.

Can I store infinite number of keys to greater lifts? I'm playing on master, but I'll most likely be around lvl 60 when I finish the campaign, and I'd rather get 70 from adventures, than grinding through earlier stages again.

The maximum is not infinite, but it's high enough that you don't have to worry about having to use them before Level 70.

So there is natural limit in inventory space.

first time in 3 seasons I get double unity (and by pl100) and it's not longer bis anymore, oh rngesus. I've actually found 3 unitys and a gift already this season.
I have a very poorly rolled focus/restraint combo but I'm still 5/6 on UE set so I need to use rrog. I've gambled only boots for days and haven't finished yet. However I'm 5/6 nats, 5/6 UE and 4/6 Marauder so I'll have some choices to play with soon.
The UE set is absolutely ridiculous, the moment I hit 6/6 (with rrog) I jumped from t3 to t6 and just 2-3 shot everything. My gear isn't even rolled well and there are huge areas of improvement. I can't wait to try 6pc with f/r though, even poorly rolled, the damage is going to be insane.

Man, I was so wrong about them not adding content this time around. I've seen at least five new monster models, areas that can be rifts now that feel totally novel, the items bring a lot more variety than I had thought...
So if anyone could be persuaded to take me with them into a rift or two to level up, EU HC, I'd be eternally grateful.

also, are there any good builds for the new frost gem? ironically the build you're using is good for the frost gem, but you're going to have to run cold damage and cold spells to get the most out of it http://www.diablofans.com/builds/53752-2-2-frozen-orb-delseres-magnum-opus-48-grift I think I would replace the slow time rune with point of no return instead, and replace the gizzard with iceblink
not sure how far you'd get with this build as i heard the point of no return time bubbles are still bugged, so you may be missing cc
|
i know the Delsere's damage from bubbles doesnt stack, but does the rune benefit stack? e.g., each bubble adds +ias or +dmg to monsters inside of bubble? pre-ROS, i remember stacking bubbles was a good thing. now that you can get five bubbles in the same place, i wonder if it has any bonus effect.
