but compared to D2, it's also pretty boring, every char feels the same, there is no need to ever enter story mode again as it just takes longer to level up. i started a barb cuz i only ever played 2 barbs. and guess what, he is exactly what the other two were. he will be the same at lvl 50 as the others were at lvl 50. there are various builds on lvl 70, true. but its just farm for the right items to build around it at lvl 70. the way from 1 to 70 is simply SHIT as it is now. waiting for new diablo 2 season, i played it for 2 weeks hardcore again and it opened my eyes for how bad diablo 3 actually is, and i can really say that, i played D3 for about 1000 hours total (which is still nothing compared to d2) when you ask me whats better in D3 then it was in D2, all i can come up with is - graphics - item/gold pickup system which is incredibly sad. i can name hundrets of things the other way around. | ||

Then play D2? It's not like there's nobody playing on battle.net and you can always find a private server. I think Blizzard made it pretty clear they're not going to change the style of the game so there's not much point complaining about it years after release. Don't really have the time/patience to start playing up another char, as most other builds depend on kindof rare legendaries (unlike firebirds). I am trying to find some motivation to play a bit again, but struggling to find it from what I understand...  Oh, btw, maybe someone can recommend a wizard build that is actually fun and useful to play in teams, and has some kind of synergies with other builds. | ||

I preferred Median patch to vanilla D2 to expansion D2, prefer d3 over d2, and would happily take d1 over either. D3's pretty bad as a single player experience, but waaay better than D2 as a co-op/multiplayer game. | ||
