Unless gift has like a hidden +10% damage effect or something. Crit dmg gem. Both have the gem, the differance is that triumvirate works better with black weapons

I think the only time it was good was when people used it to farm ilvl63 gear with A1 Nephalem stacks.
Still amusing to go in for the first time. Not really worth the effort to get the Staff.

Beside, it will be one of the Nephalem's Rift template so you kinda can get there when you level 70 and doing adventure mode.

My bad, wasn't paying attention I guess. Thanks for the correction.

lame. 2h are worthless since they are consistently rolling lower than 1h i find.

But is it allowed to essentially discontinue an old game when the new comes out? Imagine people that just bought D3, and don't intend to buy ros? >_> I mean... they should stop selling D3 without exp if they don't support it...

I think it's a bit disingenuous to say they are discontinuing or even not supporting Vanilla because the drop system they added leaves 2handers out of viability at level 60. It is kind of messed up to not come up with some kind of middle-ground solution for those that won't buy RoS, but you gotta have some perspective on this. It's a relatively small issue in the scale of the game.
If they truly didn't care to support Vanilla anymore, there wouldn't have been a 2.0 patch pushing all these features in. They went out of their way to come up with a system to merge vanilla and expansion players & servers and in the process basically gave vanilla players a ton of content they could have made expansion-only (which ironically also would have stopped a lot of the bitching about the amount of content for the price of the expansion).
People are surprisingly entitled about things like this. Vanilla 2.0 is still a very playable and fun game, evidenced by how many people are playing it now even knowing their accomplishments are going to be overshadowed by RoS in 10 days.

Saying they went "out of their way" is even more disingenuous. The whole 2.0 Patch is RoS, with level 60 caps and a lock on A5 being the only thing blocking the extra content.
Except they did a lazy job of it, and plenty of RoS is still leaking through...I got a Legendary Crusader item the other day -_-.

Well I just spent my years worth of drop luck I guess, I just hit lvl 60 yesterday and my hardcore DH is already at 105k dps, 1,8million toughness and 4,7k healing with passives. This is my first HC character too so I'm enjoying it. I have been kind of grinding it out since he hit 60 though.

Nice buriza, have you tried using it with bola shot? I heard it gad interesting effects.
And yea I find you generally get up to ~100k dmg 1-1.5m toughness pretty quick then upgrades after that require ggrolls to really make a difference.

Funny thing, I hit lvl 60 on Diablo himself and he dropped the Buriza and the boots to welcome me to HC.
I haven't tried it with bolas yet, I was going to save that for when I get the insta bola explosion quiver. I have had some interesting results with Devouring Arrow though. It does massive massive damage to smaller packs, champions and bosses coupled with marked for death. Buriza guaranteeing a couple pierces of hungering+devouring before having a chance to proc more is pretty insane.
Some Buriza/Quiver combinations I'd like to try if they drop: Emimei's Duffel Ninth Cirri Satchel

I think having all two handers useless is a kindof embarrassing feature of a game from blizzard that normally prides themselves with having polished games (and only allowing AWESOME changes, right David Kim?). Imagine that RoS was never coming. People would not be impressed.
I agree it is not a big deal, as there will be very few people playing D3 without the exp. But then, imo, bliz should be a bit more honest about leaving flaws in vanilla that they would never have allowed if RoS was not coming.

Not just two handers. Offhand mojos and sources were also bricked. from possible 280+ average damage down to like...90. Probably for the same reasons.

other than skorn, 2h weapons sucked pre-patch anyways. skorn was not bis for anyone anyways. whine, whine.
