Is that guy one person, or are there multiple people grinding that account? I'm tempted to go with the latter seeing as how a single person would probably have died to sleep deprivation.

He was doing Act3 runs in like 9 minutes. Shit was crazy.

Many initial estimates of the time needed to level to 100 were grossly inaccurate. Let's take a look at some numbers: - 10,454,400,400 xp needed to go from paragon level 0-100 - Alkaizer's runs lasted about 9 minutes each and yielded roughly 10 million xp. Let's estimate an hourly rate of 60 million to allow for short breaks. - dividing the two gives 174.24 hours of levelling needed at that pace - 174 hours over 16 days amounts to 10.89 hours per day grinding xp. That is quite a lot, but hardly a superhuman feat for an individual (he is half-Korean after all). Of course, he was probably less efficient at the start of the process, and he mentioned going really hardcore in the first few days, sacrificing significant amounts of sleep to get an early lead. This had a psychological effect on others to discourage them from trying to beat him as they would have felt that the race was already lost.

I guess the question then is, why didn't a team do the same run with a similar build/char? Running 24/7 they would have done it a long time ago. If you say that he averaged 11 hours a day, he must have beaten any 24/7 team with more than a factor of 2 in efficiency.

If you get to lvl 100 fastest, you will get noticed.

That's how a lot of hc players do it.

Get to lvl 14 or whatever on your own and buy cains set with a nice ruby in the helm. They did 3 of my chars, it's a great service.

Put a ruby in your helmet, a ruby in your weapon and main stat/ vitality in everything else. You'll finish as quickly as you can run through it. Level 24-30: Cain's set can now be equipped for +30% XP. If you want to grind, do keeps 2 and crater 2 repeatedly while wearing your XP gear and using your gem-twinked equipment. At some point you need to kill Diablo to unlock Nightmare mode. Level 30-42: Run through acts I and II as usual. Keep your gear updated as necessary. Usually I find these levels to be the slowest as the benefit of the gems become less significant compared to base gear stats, but just keep pushing through Level 42-50: At this point you can get -level requirement gear. A big DPS weapon is most important, but you can also get some reasonable armour too. With this gear you can destroy nightmare mode, and make your way to hell. Level 50-60: the same -level gear will still crush hell mode too. Keep running keeps 2 and crater 2 to level quickly.
