I've been searching around and haven't found a clear answer to this on any of the forums. The 300% MF cap is actually represented on your character stats screen, once you get to 300 it just won't go higher.
The 1.04 patch notes say nephalem valor and shrine buffs will take you over this cap, which is does. Where I am unclear is the follower's magic find. Now when you do itemize your follower (w/o any neph valor or a shrine buff) the magic find clearly climbs over 300%. I've read this is not what developer's intended . . . ok. But the real questions are:
1. Is this going to be changed? 2. Do these higher MF values when using a follower actually work or is it just a visual glitch? 3. If the higher values actually do work why doesn't EVERYONE use a templar follower that has full MF gear? e.g. Amulet, Rings, Shield, Weapon(Sun Keeper)

I just dropped Shaeffer's hammer, does anyone knows how the lightning protection thing works? ( mine has only 26% on it unfortunately, basically what it does is that when you get hit sometimes you get hit by lightning and electrocute people around you for a little while after that, but I don't know the specifics on how it works).
It's not a very good weapon on paper (1050 dps 2hands) but it looks fun.

I got one to test with lightning skill damage Bonus on followers, but the actual shield lasts for 2-3 seconds, is air, and can one shot act 1 inferno skeletons.... Not sure if it's based off current paper dps which was 20k at the time.

In a fit of "never playing Diablo again" I decided to sell all my stuff on the RMAH and quit, but that resolve didn't last for a week.
Now I want to re-equip so I can farm act 3 a little, if at a very slow pace.

I thought that's what he said... since watching he's said he's found 125 or so legandaires since patch. So I might have heard that wrong.
Also he's spent $1,500 on the RMAH but sold $3,000 on the RMAH since patch.

I'm soooooo sad right now. Was doing a run, wasn't paying attention, died, and as I was running back I saw a legendary pair of gloves on the ground. SWEET MY LUCKY DAY I thought.

They forgot to give Frostburns the two random affixes they're supposed to have. Obviously, 4mods gloves are gonna be worthless.

I think the 20 gloves thing was a joke. Yesterday, he was ranting that legendary gloves are so bad compared to rares, as rares can roll trifecta + 300 int/dex.
As for legendaries, you'll see that his whole stash is full of unidentified ones. When he gets a new one, sometimes he'll take a lesser one and throw it out on the ground as watcher cry out in pain.

Im only lvl11 but I average 2 legendaries on a 2h act3 aswell. Its alot better now 
Windforce and Firewalkers yesterday, not the best legendaries, but sellable
