I think I win the character number prize for TL. I was logged in and created right at midnight. I had to wait another hour in the town for my group of 4 to get logged in though.
Seeing my profile makes me a bit sad since I haven't played since mid june. sigh. I really want to play diablo 3, I just think it's a bad game right now. I hope they fix it. I love the franchise.

Day 37: I have struck another triumphant blow! I have created a market place for the Nephalem, which is the only means of obtaining artifacts of any significant power. However, the true devious nature of this monstrosity is what makes it so delicious! In order to utilize it, the Nephalem are required to use a strange currency known as US Dollars, which they cannot access unless they willingly pay a 30% tithe to the forces of evil! MUAHAHAHAH! I really intended to slaughter them on day 1 with this device, but Belial was having trouble getting the Koreans on board with it.
Day 38: Once my demonic auction house of real money was fully operational, and the sniveling maggots were happily lapping up items of significant power with which to best my forces...I dropped ANOTHER masterful stroke on them, claiming yet another victory for Team Hell! I unleashed the Mighty Nerf-alem Hammer on all treasures under the High Heavens, making them nearly useless. Many who had spent their precious gold, real and virtual, were now banished to the Halls of Buyer's Remorse. I used the tears and subsequent blood of my fallen enemies to fill a bath, and washed myself in the Basin of Greedy Deception!
Day 45 and counting...: My saga continues to unfold, as many once-hopeful heroes have abandoned their quest altogether. Perhaps they will have an easier time slaying pandas soon... Those stalwarts who have chosen to stay, trapped in my Devilish Hamster Wheel of Doom and cursed to wander the Malignant Slot Machine of Rmah, do so in the vain hope that "things will get better." No mortal, they will NOT! Even when you are able to use the treasure you have purchased against EACH OTHER in Player vs. Player combat (no, really, it's coming...TRUST me...*evil laugh*), you will still be subject to my law of Eternal Internet Connection. Only once I've milked every last dollar and gold piece from these lackeys will I then pull the plug on the ServerStone forever! Just in time for Heart of the Swarm and Pandasy Island to be unleashed upon this ripe, unsuspecting world!

PS. Yesterday, my watchful eye spotted a 59 year old Hardcore Witch Doctor who was about to celebrate his 60th Season. I unleashed a Latency Storm on him as he was engaging 3 champion Heralds with "Waller, Plague, Arcane and Extra Life"...he is now a level 3 HC Monk. O tis fun to be evil!

Well the current winner is now UNDER 9000.

Just wait for a bit then and try again after patches 1.0.4 and 1.1. It should be better.

So ive come back from a long break of d3, looking to get started again.
Wizard 22K dps, 6.5k armor, 250ish resall. Where should i start runs wise?
Also, how do you make any sort of fucking money considering every piece of gear i have is now like 10k.
Also, anyone willing to help, all my gear is yellow and i only have 12k LOL
Recommended farm / build for me?
EDIT: Also, is it worth coming back? is the game still just a solo grind fest and auction house simulator?
Is teamplay at least viable now? 
If anyone wants to team up for anything (SC / HC, farming, levelling new chars.) drop me a PM!

Nothing much has changed, everyone is waiting for 1.04 which should bring significant changes to legendary items and possibly some game mechanics. Hopefully it will be out sometime this month.

Also. Butcher runs are pretty much standard until you can hack ACT3 quickly. I start my runs in Northern Highlands and look for Watchtower. If no Watchtower, I remake until I find one. Once I'm in the tower I open game to public, clear tower, highlands, hunting grounds, and work my way through the dungeon and kill Warden and Butcher. At that point, everyone else usually leaves the game, so then I run around solo through the Festering Woods and stuff and look for a couple more elites before starting a new game and doing it over.

D3 was a major let down for me. I only got about 3-4 unique/legendary items after ~4.5k elites killed, and the 4 player limit for games really annoyed me. I had several friends that wanted to play with each other, but we have to separate into 3 other groups (eventually all became solo T_T).

Fuuuu... through these profiles I found out that I'm playing on the US server instead of the EU server. Ah well.. I play SC, and connection is reasonable so it doesn't matter that much. But still. Don't know if it affects RMAH, as I haven't used that yet.

Am I the only one here who would be glad to find something like sigons armor at that drop chances?
In D2 I always raged when I found some green crap, but now it would be heaven I guess...

I had it too when i just started.. has to do with downloading the US-english client, which was the default option for me - later i had to download the EU-english client to be able to play on patch days. I think you will have to be careful about the US RMAH, because you will be transfering money from US to EU and vice versa. I'm pretty sure Blizz doesn't want that.
