Some data was illegally accessed, including a list of email addresses for global Battle.net users, outside of China. According to the FAQ, this means "All email addresses where stolen". I find their choice of word a bit misleading "list of email addresses for global Battle.net users" sure sound better than YOUR EMAIL WAS STOLEN. Brace yourselves, spam is coming. (just kidding, you should have a spam filter anyway) | ||

They've had months to work on this patch, considering what small companies can do in a few months I don't think its unreasonable to expect a good amount from this patch. It doesn't have to deliver everything, it just has to be going in right direction, and have enough to make the game worth playing till more can be done. | ||

Blizzard never said they were hack proof and would be foolish to say so, with SoE, Trion, and other game companies getting hacked it was only a matter of time before Blizzard was hacked. What blizzard said at the time of the d3 rampant hackings were that it was impossible to steal someone's session from session spoofing in a public game as some ppl were claiming and that is very much true. When SoE was hacked they didn't know til a week later, didn't tell customers til a month later, and all services were down for 6 weeks after that so Blizzard is already doing much better in that regard. If you play online games get used to having your information stolen because it is going to happen. | ||

Sounds like a lot of changes that will make co-op play easier, which I am looking forward to. But it also sounds like 1.0.4 is still a long way off. | ||
