I've been replaying Diablo 2, and I gotta say it just feels so different from D3. I wasn't too impressed with the linearity or the art direction. I'm not digging the online only thing too, especially since I keep hearing about people losing hardcore characters because of lag. About the art direction: it's hard for me to describe. It's like someone took all the hard edges of D2 and made them soft. Everything just looks gooey, even spell animations. So, give me your best shot. Convince me, because I wanna like it. Fair warning though, it'll take quite a bit... | ||

Where did this drop? You can put it up for 20 but the chance to sell it is slim. I'd say 8~12 millons if you want to sell right away. Since there are a few weapon with similar stats on the AH all at about 10 mils, but yours got Str and attack speed. | ||

Well at EU 1154 no stat 1h=11m which is overpriced as I've seen +1200 for the same price, roughly equivalent 1h with 10 worse dps and 20 worse dex is 7,2. however that thing also has +crit dmg which is insane. | ||

1) The ability to choose armor skins. You pretty much always pick the best available item, obviously. They made 17 armor sets for every class, but you pretty much can't wear a complete armor set at any time because of the way the game is designed, unless you go out of your way to only use items that match. Guild Wars 2 has a system that allows you to transfer stats from one item to another. Diablo 3 should use a similar system. 2). The auction house. This is a topic on it's own, but it definitely could be improved in many ways. Numbers of listing, different ways to list items, etc. 3) The ability to save/load builds. This is implemented in Guild Wars, a 7 year old game. If you make a game that requires constant skill switching, help players out with usability. 4) Offline play, LAN, better security, etc etc. Well, it has to be said at least once. 5) Adjusted drop rates for legendaries, sets and blacksmith plans. I have gotten 1 legendary in about 70 hours of play time. That's it. Also, their stats are too low if they're going to be that rare. 6) Making the defensive skills different in general. Why? Because when they work blizzard destroys them. I'm not going to use Smokescreen anymore when it's a 1 second ability for half my discipline... Just give me another skill entirely if you're going to make it useless. 7) The ability to hit invisible enemies with AoE. They are invulnerable. They are called invisible, not invincible. It's very annoying when you know you're being surrounded as a ranged character but you NEED to let them do so, otherwise you can't hit them. I don't mind when it's enemies that burrow, but enemies that are invisible...really? | ||

I've picked up weapons with less DPS but when I hover over them, they increase my damage because of increased attack speed or something similar. I think... | ||

Since there are a few weapon with similar stats on the AH all at about 10 mils, but yours got Str and attack speed. just kidding guys i am not gonna sell it <3 my second char monk may use it one day (if i have the time get her that far). for an average player like me (not too casual or anywhere close to hardcore), that drop made the game for me. i remember how some gold name weapon dropped back in my d2 game, great time. i got it from killing some elite mobs after the izual battle. the drops in act4 are pretty shit tbh but damn when you see a yellow you really hit a jackpot! edit: and yes d3 auto added the attack speed/damage % to the total dps when you compare it to your current gear. | ||

Afaik the stats on an item are counted in the dps displayed. I've seen some testing done to show that lifesteal goes down substantially on either reddit or the blizz d3 forums but I haven't seen anything about life on hit. If it does get reduced then it's useless but Kripp has been saying the past few days that one of the best stats for weapons is life on hit (500-700+ per hit is good for barbs). edit: watching Kripp now (act 2 inferno), he gets about 900-1k health on each hit (847 from his weapon and 70 from his belt and then a little from somewhere else), so I'm 99% sure health on hit does not get reduced in inferno. | ||
