I thought they'd be increasing the weaker sets to match the top performers. It looks like they buffed everything, including the top performers. The power creep!

It does look like they buffed the weaker sets more than the strong ones. Monks might finally make a comeback again.

Not for Witch Docs. Jade gets doubled (middle of the pack set) while Arachyr gets a roughly 25% damage increase lol.

So many gems are getting buffed, it does make sense for them to have their own damage category though. For clarity if nothing else.

Not sure what they are doing with Crusaders as well. Invoker (lol) and Roland got buffed. Akkhan and Light didn't.

Ditto. This game is pretty fun to binge play for a week or two when a new season hits, but when the gear wall hits you burn out pretty fast. My own personal pet peeve is Convention of Elements later on. in GR70 you HAD to hit your best element to basically do damage. This little mini game actually annoys me to no end.

For the next season I'd like to play a class/build that doesn't rely on CoE for damage =/ but I'm afraid I'm just being delusional and that doesn't exist. Oh well, its been a long time since I rolled a wizard.

I remembered a time when i did ~250 baal runs everyday with a friend. Using teleport hack(i don't remember the exact name but it auto-teleported to the lower floor quickly) was allowed in the server so the runs were really fast. The game names were stuff like asdbaal299, asdbaal300 etc, we incremented the number after each game lol.

Thinking about it now, it is one of the most repetitious things i did in my life. I don't think i can play that much without getting bored again even if i have the time

Best in Slot is pigsticker because of the 6(?) magical proprieties possible, and better attack speed (thorn damage is applied to weapon attacks with full thorn set bonuses)

Also, ancient or non-ancient is a very small difference for thornsader. It generally affects only STR and VIT and if you rolled really well, thorn damage on the weapon itself. You'll want to reroll any %damage, X-Y damage increase off anyway for CDR, Life per hit, or whatever it is you're missing. Also, don't roll socket, get a ramaldingdong for it if you rolled well.

For pig sticker you want:
1) Strength
2) Vitality
3) Cool Down Reduction
4-5) Increased Attack Speed
4-5) Life Per Hit (I personally value LpH more than IAS but thats just me)

6)Thorn Damage

And then you ramaldingdong it for best Topaz you can make for more thorn damage.

the XXXX-YYYY damage on the weapon itself is completely useless to you so don't get a hardon for the numbers you see.

Yeah, kinda know how it works already and the stats, it's just that somewhere i read that hack is better, and in other places that pig sticker is superior. From what i am gathering in game it seems like Hack does better damage, but i just wanted to ask to see if someone did run the numbers beforehand.
