Looks like I was incorrect. ^^
That's actually kind of a shame, because now he is just like pantheon. Buy a little bit of armor and he becomes very lack-luster. Of course his AoE abilities are infinitely better too bad xin will always be a bigger threat to squishy carries than pantheon.
its true smash an afk xin will still be more of a threat than panth :p

Hmmhh... I've been playing with panth lately and he feels kinda mediocre. He is fun to play nevertheless especially with revive, but there are definately better champs that fills his role. What is the problem of building him tanky? He hits like a wet paper towel?

actually its 1.5 seconds, so it would be 0.9 second slow, but i have no idea how often malz's e ticks, if its 1 per second tho, then there would be recovery time before it reprocs. (something tells me that its more than 1 tick per second tho)

Rylai's Scepter
+500 Health +80 Ability Power Passive: Your spell hits slow the target's movement speed by 35% for 2 seconds (15% for multi-target spells).

From the LoL website(though if its 1.5 then it just means they havent updated) " Rylai's Crystal Scepter
+500 Health +80 Ability Power Passive: Dealing spell damage slows the target's movement speed by 35% for 2 seconds (15% for multi-target spells)."
Edit: fishcakes beat me to it

maybe I'm thinking with the post-cleanse debuff reduction... I just know I've seen awkwardly jerky run speeds on people with it before.
Problem with building Pantheon Tanky is that yes, he does no damage and is basically just a stun bot, which you can do way better with a bunch of different champions.
Pantheon has a stun and kicks into rape your face off way earlier than Xin. The difference between Panth Aegises Twitch -> Panth gets stunned by Sion and Xin Audacious Charges Twitch -> Xin gets stunned by Sion is pretty big. Basically, reliable stuns have a lot of value and while Xin is better under most circumstances he'll sometimes get interrupted before he can actually CC them.

regardless, isn't malz supposed to use all his spells at once and just try and kinda tick them down over 3 seconds or whatever? i still don't see the point of having a super expensive item that applies a slow when you just want to hit them with everything at once and kill them immediately. and his two spells that aren't malefic visions are gonna give a terrible terrible 15% slow that will do virtually nothing imo imo imo
|
Has leaving/surrendering early become more common in LoL recently? The last two games I played were one in which we had two ragequitters, and one in which my team surrendered a game in which we were slightly down...but had won the last teamfight. This was especially annoying since I'd gotten two kills in that fight, had mejai + levi, and the cash for the kills bought me zhonya's (on Vlad).
Has there been an influx of impatient people in the mediocre ELO range or something?

malefic visions being a slow allows you to catch and punish people out of position without blowing your ult, which is a pretty big deal imo imo imo imo (moar seriously than your post because there are moar 'imo's).

edit: and yes to what smash said, it helps catch people out of position which is really useful

it gets everyone. it's cyclical.
and shen's passive is sweet and he has an awesome AoE disable that's also a freakin' sweet escape mechanism and his ult's better.

I certainly notice alot more assholes lately.
I quit 2 games yesterday. The first one, everyone spoke portugese or something, and my lane partner walked right into tower range twice within the first 5 minutes. Like, no sense in me trying to play with people I can't even understand.
The second game, someone in champ select bitched that someone took his character (vlad). The Vlad goes mid, the kid who bitched goes mid as well and he walks into middle and feeds their morde twice in a row. He says he will keep doing it all game.
That was one bad night ~_~
Maybe its because im in shit elo range thanks for kids like these.

I was looking at the stats of a bunch of highly ranked players for 5v5 and noticed some weirdness going on with their item choices. For starters, if they're going AP, they seem to get multiple Doran's Rings. The most I saw was 3 on a random person's Nidalee. What's the point to this? I know the Doran items are cheap for the stats they provide, but 3 Doran's?
There's definitely a difference between how the pros itemize versus what the general public and 99% of item guides suggest. (Though I believe 99% of guides to be full of crap.) I'd like to see more information about pro builds. Does anyone have a list of what people got in the WCG tournaments for example?
Also, how do Kog, Vlad, and Ezreal compare to say Akali or Nidalee in terms of button pressing? I feel Nidalee/Akali have a higher skill requirement to play and would like to choose more champions with the same demands.

Malz isn't nearly as good of a burster as Annie or Ryze, I think he's far better when built as 'caster-support' kind of champion, trying to have a constant slow on few of the opposing champs, silencing 3-4 guys and comboing his null zone with amumu's ulti and whatnot. With Rylai's he can kite quite well.35% slow for 4+s is nothing to laugh at

Doran's stacking = more survivability early/mid game for squishies. It's more cost effecient than the nerfed catalysts every1 was using back in the day.

Stacking Dorans is mostly just a way to come back in lane from losing. It's usually not something you plan on doing so much as something you have to do to stay relevant when you're getting worked over early.
Kog is 100% positioning, hitting W at the right time and right clicking on the right guy. No difficulty there.
Vlad is a little tricky, but doesn't have as complex combos as Akali/Nid.
Ezreal is just being able to hit your Q and also some positioning and decision making with your E.
If you want another intricate combo character, play Kennen, his shit is mad tricky and cool. Really high skill cieling with that little fucker.
