I don't have much experience item wise with the game (mainly because I just started playing) and generally just roll whatever the game tells me to get or buy items I think are awesome (like manamune). Solves pretty much all mana issues and gets you a lot of AD which makes her ^_^ What are some better items for DPS carries?

Having an off game at the same time that you have 2 feeders/idiots giving bad engages for 30 minutes is the worst feeling.

Bad players can really ruin a game's enjoyment value. For example, in a 68 minute game, my brother's shen is 17/0/48 and I am 28/17/36 on heimer. but the rest of our team has less combined kills/assists then either of us and about 50-60 deaths between them. Can't 2v5 that late into the game...not when my grenade doesn't hurt towers any more.

I don't really play him nor do I intend to play him as a 1 for 1 trade, I play him to nuke the living daylights out of as many heroes as possible, while "guaranteeing" a kill via my ult.

Also, if I could get just a rough skill/item selection for the suggested hero I would appreciate it. Thanks much, Knix

Gragas isn't much for carry or skillcap, but he can lane excellently, jungle, and escape easily. Olaf has a pretty large skill cap IMO, but he's very dependent on jungling and has significant difficulty jungling without runes. He's also fairly difficult to play without support or some team coordination. Vlad is great for everything except carrying games. Don't really know anything about the rest.

I also often hold R until either I need it or I actually get in range of something worth killing. Hence, when you open most fights with E and W it really helps to have the snare, again however little. Plus, as mentioned not only is E essentially a nasty perma-snare, it jumps around and it's not uncommon to be flinging around two copies of it as one bounces around some tanks that got caught in W and another that you re-cast on squishies later. I don't really play him nor do I intend to play him as a 1 for 1 trade, I play him to nuke the living daylights out of as many heroes as possible, while "guaranteeing" a kill via my ult. I play like this, getting maybe 2 points in Q before lvl 15. W is so unfair, with enough AP you're dealing like 15% of their life per tick in an AoE lol

Mord can walk through him for the most part, but he does that to most heroes. The big thing you have to understand with Kassadin is that you're going to get hit, so you have to punish him when Q is on cooldown. The players I struggle the most with (not heroes) are the ones that understand this and lay on pressure - this buys them enough time until my Q starts to really "kick in" that they get a farm advantage, hence why Kassadin is generally known to have a bad early game. For instance, most people know that Kassadin crushes Trist straight-up early on. However last night ColZDude fought me to a stand-still by taking advantage of my cooldown and picking me apart with autoattack, DoT, and jump. At level 8ish I started chomping him down but he'd kept up with CS by that point which is a "win" for Tristana. Likewise I've cruised against Master of LoL's Ezreal and Vladimir, yet have had some Ezreals beat me straight up, even kill me at level 2 by landing a good combo, and I've generally refrained from laning against Vlad because he starts overhealing me, so a good Vlad will lay on pressure with the drain + autoattack. Edit: Another example - Kass generally obliterates MF. Just ask HeavOnEarth. However an MF last night fought me to a standstill by going all-out on me with double-up and the rain of bullets with autoattack. She used her movement speed not to attempt to avoid me but to try to kill me, and in the war of attrition she'd start to win out because she simply does more damage than my Q. That's the sort of playstyle you NEED to swap to against Kassadin. You can't hope he won't hit you. How do you outharass Ez's Q? Since you need to leave ur creep lane to use it.

HSGG went double philo stone, sorc boots, rylai's, zhonya's on his stream the other day... it was effective because he could farm hardcore by just eating waves with Q + E. Normally malz is very mana hungry so that wouldn't really be possible. On September 20 2010 17:22 BluzMan wrote: How would that change if I stayed? They wouldn't pick this crap you think? You can outharass Ez's Q because he shouldn't be hitting you all the time, it's easier for you to hit him than him for hit you while both of you are last-hitting, and your mana pool + regen can sustain better. It's entirely a skill-based matchup: whoever sucks more will lose almost 100%.

And I'm surprised at the opinion on mana, maybe it's because I played him when I didn't have runes? shrug.
