Yes, but only in that specific situation can it be considered a 1350g swing. Otherwise, you just got dragon and got 675g for your team. Obviously by not taking smite or not managing its cooldown well, you open yourself to the possibility of that 1350g swing.

So the specific situation you're talking about is if one side wants the dragon and the other side doesn't even make an attempt at getting it at all the entire game, THEN it's a 2-point swing, but then that's like going to a ball game with only 1 team playing.
If I'm warwick and I get dragon at level 4, and your olaf comes 2 levels later and finds the dragon already gone by the time he tries to get it, he still lost out on a dragon. It doesn't even have to be as direct as smite-stealing.

Lol actually last game I got dragon at level 5 after WW failed a gank bot and then he came by 2 levels later and found dragon gone.

That`s a 4 point difference as a result of the ball turnover.
wow you really are retarded aren't you

this guy gets it
otherwise for every second that dragon is up and your team isn't killing it, by juicy's thinking, you have to subtract 130 gold (per second) from your whole team. you'll be bankrupt in no time!

How bout we talk about LoL in a LoL thread? It's a win win
edit: Or not
|
in a smitesteal that kind of an analogy works, if the opposing team just gets the dragon while you do nothing your team doesn't lose anything since you weren't getting the dragon anyway
EDIT: Since you can have 5 dragon kills or 2 dragon kills in a game depending on if you actually go kill it every time it's up etc and if you wouldn't go kill the dragon anyway during the 5 mins or something while they kill it and it respawns, you don't lose anything. I'm not sure why you wouldn't kill the dragon though...

I'm not talking about purely in terms of gold gain. I'm not saying team B's goldcount will suddenly go down by 130 everytime team A kills dragon. However, I am making the very correct assumption that if one team doesn't get the dragon, the other team WILL get it in the course of a game.
It's either
-Team A gain dragon -Team B loses dragon
OR
-Team A loses dragon -Team B gains dragon
There's no such thing as team A gets a dragon while team B loses nothing, because team B WANTS the dragon, AND its capable of GETTING dragon if team A doesn't get it first.

juicyfruit is correct. Period. If the dragon is contested its always 1350 swing. The concept has been explained its just the sort of concept that is a bit hard to wrap your head around at first. Like a blind steal. Or pot odds. But i digress.

so i heard about a new godawfully op char coming out...anyone wanna stop arguing over dragon and argue about the op char i made up? damn, cats out of the bag, yea its fake, i just got tired of the potential gold back and forth

I was going to forget about it, but since turkey doesn't want to hear about it, I will talk about it just a little more :D
To put the basketball analogy back into play, imagine a basketball game with no time limit and the score is currently 60-60. The ball is going to inevitably land in either one of the baskets, so there's only two possible outcomes:
If team A scores, it would be 62-60 If team B scores, it would be 60-62
From team A's perspective, if it weren't winning by 2 points, it would be losing by 2 points. There's no other outcome, therefore the difference between the two scenario is 4 points, not 2.
...
What OP char? Does it look like a turkey that's been stuffed? Because Urgot's already got that look covered.

no. IF you are ahead by 2 points, you are ahead by 2 points. IF you are behind by 2 points, you are behind by two points. you can't be behind by 2 points and 4 points simultaneously. it's one or the other.
this is easy to grasp concept. you lose nothing by the enemy taking dragon, because you didn't have that gold to begin with. when you pick a jungler, do you count all of their neutrals in your expected gold? no? why not? because you can't be assured you're going to get them? so when they take them, you don't say "drat i just lost out on 30 gold!" do you? no? so why do you say that if they beat you to dragon? dragon doesn't belong to either side, if you get it you get it. if you don't get it, they might get it, they might not. either way, since no one goes into a game of LoL saying "the only way we can win this game is if i get dragon and baron every time they spawn" you can't consider it a loss if you DON'T get either of them
|
Please stop it with the basketball analogy. It's incorrect to begin with.
Anyways, apparently I'm good with Morg. Discuss my usage of Clairvoyance for complete domination.

I don't think any of the top teams use clairvoyance anymore xD

You are either +2 or -2. The difference between the two outcome? 4 points swing.

almost certain he'd stomp on nasus Yeah I'd love to try out olaf when I do the next batch of champs and can get 5 people to join a practice game just to farm up for 50 minutes to see if they can beat Nasus ^_^
Question though, I know his ultimate stopped disables but I'm pretty sure wither can still slow his attack speed????? I don't play against olafs to often where he's my main target for wither so I don't really remember.
