So, I can imagine 5 ways to play Ashe, but I only recommend the first one currently: 1) Ghostblade + Brutalizer, APen + CDR. Build has been mentioned/discussed several times in the previous pages. 2) Bloodrazor and some other ASpd stuff. Imo other champs can do this much safer and more effectively. 3) AD/Crit: This was how I played her before I heard about 1). It takes forever to farm up enough items to become really relevant, and you can't really afford any defense. 4) Balanced AD/ASpd build with teleport to to maximize your backdoor capabilities. Other chars are better at this once again (better escapes, dps buffs etc). 5) CDR and defense/auras/whatever you want for ECA spam and being useless otherwise. If you want to try 2), you probably could go something like DShield/whatever > Boots > Razor (for farming) > Serkers > Bloodrazor. For 3) I suggest to not go for Infinity Edge first. If my math is correct, a Bloodthirster or Black Cleaver will yield more damage because the crit component isn't very efficient until you have enough base damage (a single 100% crit every fight doesn't fix that either). Another option would be to get 2 BFSwords and then an Infinity Edge. EDIT: Well, obviously I am a horrible newb for using this build. Dat suicidal Morgana can't be wrong. The 0 stacks Cho neither. Besides, I was focused by 5 enemies all the time, lol.

I can't really chip away at him because his two skills hurt me much more than he Morde by himself is a scary bastard. Get him away from a creepwave. Trying to fight him with friendly creeps around is a total waste. He's just gonna fire his E, fill up his entire shield, and keep whacking away at you. When I play Morde I *always* take a 1v2 lane. It's absurd how much control he can have once he hits level 5. You're guaranteed to push the enemy back to their tower. The only real way to deal with him is a gank. Once he starts to run, he's dead. He's got no escape, and when there's no creeps to charge his shield on, he's surprisingly vulnerable. Xin charging out of the bushes can ruin his day easily.

Ashe is one of the best gankers since you can guarantee that almost any target will just stay put whether or not they have Merc Treads or Cleanse or whatever. Even if you don't do lots of damage yourself, your presence will cause kills to happen. In a teamfight situation, you can definitely tell if you're behind in items when you Volley. However, it only takes one ice arrow to turn a fight around, even on someone with Merc Treads. So basically, my thoughts on Ashe are this: she doesn't absolutely require items to be useful (like a WW needs Bloodrazor). The design of her skills gives her a large amount of utility that can allow her to come from behind with good coordination. The real problem with Ashe, as some have already said, is feeding the other team. No real escape mechanism, and she gets dominated in solo lane by so many. If they increased her autoattack range a little bit (and made it scale back when the slow is toggled on), I think that might help her be a little bit more viable in mid. -------------------------- In other news, being Malphite with an Abyssal Scepter and ramming 3 people into the sky right before your Annie stun Tibbers them is the reason I play this game.

I go for a BF sword + IE/Thirster into boots build because I'd rather be pretty good but not top tier at one thing than mediocre at everything. You get Ghostblade + Brutalizer for about the same money as Infinity Edge. Assume you got 85 base AD around level 14 or so. 25 APen from runes + masteries. Enemy has 100 Def. With Infinity Edge you have 165 AD, 25 APen, about 30% extra damage on average from crits. 123 damage on average. With Ghostblade + Brutalizer you have 140 AD, 60 APen, 15% extra damage on average from crits. 115 damage on average. So your passive is slightly stronger with Infinity Edge, and you have an average of 8 damage more per attack. With Ghostblade + Brutalizer you have 25% CDR and a nice active.
