I was playing Bruta/Ghostblade Ashe again, but I forgot to switch rune pages, so I ran APen, only 5 MP5/lvl seals and MRes/lvl glyphs. Didn't even notice until late into the game though I was wondering why lasthitting was so hard... Got a pretty sucky start because of this. They were Singed, Shaco (got jungle denied, went from laning a bit to jungling and ganking), Urgot, Ezreal, Kassadin We had Ashe (me), Ezreal, Taric, Vladimir, Udyr (jungling) I was telling my allies to NOT CHASE SINGED BECAUSE HE DOES WHAT HE WANTS, but they wouldn't listen. They also wouldn't listen when I told them to do baron when we had a few of them down but still 2 towers and an inhib to push, so we got 1 tower down and that was it. They continued to strafe off whenever we had a chance to do baron... When we finally got it we just went straight through mid and killed their nexus. My build was Boots > Bruta > Ghostblade > Bruta > Madreds > GA > Banshees Game started to turn around when I got my Madreds up. Even though I died pretty quickly to heavy focus fire, I got a ton of damage off. It still took forever to take Singed down, but at least his allies went down like flies. Vlad was doing serious damage too, he definitely deserves the credit for keeping us alive. At the end I just got one kill after another, going from 1 kill to 12 within a few minutes. Actually from 14-18 I kinda switch between leveling up w and e. E is great to chase with but I think 3 points in it is enough while more points in w REALLY helps you take down towers and win teamfights. Otherwise it's good. I never ever get anything to open besides cloth + ward + 2 pots because it's just so much safer than the longsword route (dat ward wins me games vs other junglers if you can get it in their blue buff in time, especially ones that open small golems first). Banshee's Veil over FoN on Warwick because you have a built in heal and that extra HP is soooooo nice, not to mention the MR/spell shield. GA is core but you can build it after Banshees vs many teams. Sight ward is also core and sometimes if the enemy team is warding you super aggressively an early oracles is worth it too. Other than that, pretty much how I play my warwick.

-Is Kog'maw a "good" hero? As in is he a flexible addition to any random team and capable of pulling his own weight in lane and mid/late game? I really like him but I'm in the process of grinding the 6300 IP for him. -What's a good way to build Masteries, Items, and Runes for Ashe? Currently I'm level 18. I use Clairvoyance and Fortify. Today I've been messing with an 18/0/0 spread for +Damage, +Damage vs Minions, APen, CDR, etc. I have a simple Tier 1 rune page (no point wasting IP on tier 2 when tier 3 is just a few levels away) that's set up for 6 Marks of APen, 6 Seals of HP/5/lvl, and 5 Glyphs of CDR/lvl, I combined a Tier 3 Quint of Focus for an additional ~1.6% CDR. For items, I've been changing it up a bit, but I rely primarily on the build I use way back in Beta: Last Whisper, Brutalizer, Frozen Mallet, Boots of Mobility (I really like these) or Merc Treads, and Philosopher's Stone. I used to open Regrowth Amulet and build Philo Stone and get boots first, starting on Brutalizer next. Lately I've been opening boots + 3x pots and I'll usually shop with around 2k or 2.5k gold, getting me Phage, more pots, and parts for Brutalizer. From here I build items based on what's happening in game, etc. For skills, in beta the last thing I was doing with Ashe was perfecting jungle/money gain Ashe with Madred's and Plentiful Bounty. Currently, I find Hawkeye really amusing so I usually max it asap and focus on volley next for DPS and I put a few into Frost Arrow for AoE slow. I'm mostly wondering how other Ashe players build their Rune page and use items. Ashe is a support DPS who's greatest strength is her 1:1 AD ratio on Volley, so for me I get +damage items with a bit of utility (CDR, AS, +Health). Things like increased crit, life steal, & AS seem really pointless and ineffective. Also, if I try to skip Philo Stone I end up with mana problems, I'm wondering if it's better to get an item with +Mana or just buy a Meki Pendant. Or are mana/5/lvl runes able to fix that problem? And if so, how many?

How would you interrupt him if he instantly taunts you again? Kassadin silence and Ashe ECA only? wouldnt madreds be kinda inefficient to get after ghost/bruta? i mean you are building all the Apen then you build madred that turns your dmg into half phys half magic? i would really try to get IE on ashe. it turns her passive into a big nuke for your first attack and overall badass item especially after getting crit+apen+aspd from ghost/bruta to jazriel no offense but that build looks kinda bad. dont get philo stone. its a terrible item. get mp5pl from yellow runes. dont run CDR blues and in the future never get scaling CDR always get flats(they even out at like lvl 14). ashe doesnt need CDR your volley is already on a stupid low CD. if you want to be spammy, mp5pl blues will prolly help you more than CDRs. other than that you could get MR blues but im not sure whats good. frozen mallet is stupid on ashe. you already have slow. boots should almost always be mercs because you are going to get CCd. otherwise i would still get tabi or even swiftness over mobility for better positioning in fights. whisper is good, but not as the first rushed item. the first big item you want should be AD so you can use your passive as a burst. aspd is good and all, but early in the game its gonna be hard for you to stand there and pewpew constantly and aspd gets more efficient with AD first. if you have problems with mana early, get mana pots. srsly. use mana smartly and chug the pots when you need them. if you dont end up needing them, sell them later. also for LW. get the recurve bow. and dont build into LW unless/until you see them stacking armor. if they never do(in noob games) build starks.

I use to run attack speed + damage + life steal on her until recently, which I've just gone zerker boots + 2 Blood Thirsters + 1 Black Cleaver + 1 IE + Bloodrazors. mana generally isn't an issue if you know when to use your volleys and whenever we push, I generally try to snag teh blue buff so I can volley at will.

My guess is he's still not that good. The only set in stone rune for Ashe is armor pen marks, primarily because them + Bruta works well with Volley (her reason for existance). Opening items seem to depend on perceived laning opponent - if you're against a nuker you want HP (doran item) but otherwise if it's a pokey fight I see most Ashe run triple movement quints and boot opening with 3 pots, or fort + 5pots for a real nuke scare. Damage items are IE, LW and Ghostblade (that I see most often), defensive items include Banshee, Thornmail, and Guardian Angel. arcerms and Ryzer (and a few others) no joke stack Tiamats and do remarkably well.

I mean, one of the core MR items is Banshee's Veil, which gives you a good amount of both, and aside from that I pretty much still want a FoN and a GA on most of the characters I'd consider needing anything else on. I just think stacking pure MR is the way to go when it already includes Banshees.

But a Karthus will just aggressively spam his little orange bombs, push you back to your tower, and deny you from gold/mana (from W). The combination makes it really hard until you buy boots 1 (I rush this against him and Anivia). I always do 3 levels of Q before I work on E, so the combo isn't much of a consideration until later levels - something to keep in mind as Karthus.

Unless you're having trouble surviving, you just want to get infinity edge as fast as you can because by the midgame your damage is already below the curve and crits are the only good multiplier you have. You can try to run around like some half-assed caster snaring the entire enemy team but A) it's not an either-or thing, you still get to volley if you go dps and B) that's terrible, it contributes so much less than other heroes. It's ok if you run out of mana, if you're careful managing it your pool should last you the length of a teamfight. If it's really screwing you up buy mana pots when you go back to town. I usually open doran's shield (or doran's sword if I'm feeling loool) and a health pot and NEVER leave my lane until I can get BF sword.

His Nether Blade active effect gives me armor penetration. Does this AP effect my spells? Or just my normal attack...I haven't been using it at all, I don't get the first rank til Q and E are maxed, but if it is just for his melee attack, it seems pretty worthless.
