So far I've been going something like RoA, merc treads (mostly), SS, Zhonya's, whatever (not necessarily in that order). Seems pretty straightforward. Feel like he would rly benefit from CDR, but besides blue elixir/golem I never get any. Don't feel like the DFG nuke is that good on him since you always initiate with a stun that will (hopefully) take a chunk out of their hp before u can use it?
Any tips, different item builds?
Turkey builds stinger/nashor's a lot on Sion, lol. He just wings his build every fucking game though, haha.

also it's nice that shaco and heimer aren't insta bans any more, and i can focus on banning urdot so my teammates won't pick him
here's where they messed up with him (as told by someone who hasn't played him yet, lol): VS was the best champion in DotA because of her extremely high utility. she had a long stun even from level 1, an armor reducing nuke, a damage buffing aura, and then her godlike ult which was both an instant and insane range version of urdot's. she had good attack speed and could carry a team in a pinch, but was primarily used as a suicide initiator for her ult. what made her BALANCED is that in a late-game scenario, ulting the other team's carry out of their 5man formation would result in the carry dying... but since she had some of the lowest HP growth and base health in the game, she'd die too, almost always. you'd sacrifice her utility for their power, usually to great effect. what made her a top ban was that pre-teamfight time, her stun and her ult made chasing someone down and tower diving them ezpz(lmnsqzee). she was good, but still balanced, just a pain to play against.
urdot takes VS's two top abilities (stun and swap) and combines them into one super ult... and also gives himself huge resistance bonuses as well. it's not really *fair* to be able to swap into their team, have their carry die while you're unkillable. i think the saving grace is that the range looks pitiful so it's not going to be like VS, who could swap you away from your team from the length of the map at level 16... i'm not sold on his other abilities, they look just meh. another damage dealing tank that decreases physical damage... okay? enjoy being shit on by all the tanks that exert extremely high magical damage over time in the current metagame.
anyways yeah. those're my thoughts. he appears broken in the video because all spotlights make the champs look OMG 2 GOOD but i think the range of his ult is going to be the main balancing issue. good laning phase just means he's like vlad, you have to really be felt in lane or pay for it later \o/

Kind of a random question, but why are Janna's AP ratios complete garbage? I see shit like vlad and galio, the new hero screams annoying as hell, but what about Janna? She doesn't have a single skill that's 1:1.

1:1 is rare. For example, Annie is like 0.6 0.7 0.8 or something.
You only see big AP ratios on one-shot spells (like Fiddle's ult, Soraka's ult), or heroes that don't have much else going for them with regards to spammability (Sion, theoretically Kayle), or on heroes that don't have many spells, period (Zilean).

Yep, and if she is focused much she can just build tanky with frozen heart / banshees (they even improve your damage abit if you get a archangels).
Also her saving power is riddicolous.

0.75 on an AoE insta-cast knockup
0.8 on a single target massive slow
0.9 on a shield that is also a free BF Sword
1.4 over 4 seconds on a massive AoE heal ult
I really have no idea why you think these are complete garbage. IMO, they're some of the best AP ratios in the game.

Not saying that it is impossible to deal with such lanes, but I certainly don't like it.

I treat vorpal as doing zero damage, I don't try to zone people with it at all. Now that I think about it, I use it like an always-on siphon strike: Added damage to last hit easier. I haven't had problems ruptures against singed. He's really easy to predict when he's poisoning because he won't run too far away from creeps. Its all about the skill shot really, if you can't hit it start practicing with Galio. Much easier SS to hit and a similar 1-2-3 punch late game like rupture/scream/feast.
Staying out of singed flip range is a skill you'll need for any champ, not just cho. I've seen some scary singed do crazy stuff with flip.

sigh, I guess I should just look forward to cutting Urgots up with Garen, but it still pisses me off that every time there's a new champ, EVERYONE is like, "zomg, so imba, (s)he has abilities that do things, imbaimbaimba, maining until hotfix so imba, ult does something good, wtf was riot thinking, scrubs"

holy fuck, kid singlehandedly gave me a 3-game losing streak last night, I was so fucking pissed. no idea how he was hovering around 1600 with his complete lack of anything resembling game sense. just feed feed feed, all game, every game.
also had a super sweet game where COMEGETATASTE 2nd picked Olaf after I 1st picked Amumu with smite. then he refused to talk in chat, so I got pissed and set up for laning, then in game, as jungling olaf, opened vamp scepter and waited at base for a hp pot *facepalm*. I think he gave FB too, I was SOOOOO ANGRY. holy fuck, I would've kicked a hole in his chest through the internet if I could've.

Oooo, good stuff. Last time I seriously played Janna those items didn't exist. I was wrong on the AP ratios, I thought they were less than a minimum of .75. Time to go play Janna some more.  Thanks for the tips.
