Why Bloodrazor is cost efficient:
1000 for Madreds Razors. 975 for Pickaxe. 1050 for Recurve Bow. 775 for recipe.
775 gives you: -10 damage (- 415gold) +2 armor (+~33gold) UNIQUE passive: On hit, deals magic damage equal to 4% of target's maximum health. (Passive has to be worth at least 1157 to be worth it)
Most average late-game champions have at least. 2000*0.04 = 80 damage. When you get this item if you rush it, the average early-mid-game champion usually has at least 1000 HP. 1000-0.04 = 40 damage. Sure, this damage is mitigated by Magic Resist, but all Physical DPS items have their damage reduced by armor. With this change, it's more like this:
775 gives you: -10 physical damage (-415gold) +2 armor (+~33gold) +40 magic damage (BF sword is 37g / point of damage, so 37 * 40 = 1480g)
Efficient by: 323 gold.
This might not seem like much, but it scales into late game, by which most champions have ~2000 health (so 80 damage, increasing efficiency to 1803 gold. That's almost a BF Sword saved due to its passive, and adds more damage than a BF Sword!
Also, especially if you're on a heavy Phys DPS team, tanks will slack on MR, making it all the more better.

bloodrazor is the only recipe that actually decreases a stat from the combination of its components, right?

If you consider stuff like these, Sheen -> Lich Bane is kinda losing the AD component (or the AP converted into physical damage?). At the very least it is a stat decrease if you have 101 base damage and no other AP sources (lol). HoG, Avarice Blade and Lucky Pick also lose their extra gold component. Starks Fervor replaces 40% AS with 20% + 20% from aura which gives the same result but it kinda looks like a decrease on first glance.
Just throwing random useless information out there.

In the channel you said something like razors-> HoG-> negatron with 21 in defense 0 in utility and admitted to having no jungling runes
Basically my logical conclusion is, you are jungling too slow, so you are behind in levels, and have to resort to making tank items to stay alive. Or Running a defensive tree with tank runes , yes it is probably better to play ww as a tank and not go BR first.
So my advice is If u wanna tank with a jungler, don't play WW. (amumu, tank udyr, even shen i guess) all play a better "jungle tank" If you wanna see why BR is so effective on WW, try out 16/0/14 longsword open (or red pot or cloth armor+ wards) preferably buy some jungling runes im using atk speed marks/quints / flat armor /ylw flat cdr blues.

I mean, yea, you need to be tanky and if you wait until post-GA to finish bloodrazors, that's fine, but ESPECIALLY vs. a team like that, I can't imagine not getting an item that makes you already fast auto-attacks chip away at them for a % of their massive HP. I mean my point here is that if you die glass-cannon style vs a team full of tanks you're wasting potential. Survivability trumps midgame for this type of team because if you die you can't do dps with Q and that's 20% in one swipe as opposed to 4% per hit, plus you're still doing damage. Obviously you still get bloodrazors but against a team that's tankier than they are dps you really need to stay in there and whack them down with Q for the lifesteal and for the 20% of their hp.

yeah i just changed my masteries to 11/0/19, i'll be getting runes next
my magic pen build went pretty well, assisted by an early 2 kills, i had 30 minute BR, abyssal, HoG, and sorc boots. with the 9 + 15% magic pen from masteries, and 9% cooldown from masteries plus blue buff, i was using Q approximately every ~4 seconds to the tune of 20% of their health if they had less than 70 magic resist, and much more if they had less than that. ult was taking even semi-tanks down to half health, HoG and Abyssal provided survivability and abyssal is such a good aura for the whole team
ended up 10/6/11, not ashamed of dying for the team several times. gonna keep working on it
also BRs doesn't seem to work correctly on baron. at 4% health per attack (plus your attack damage), it should take less than 25 hits to kill him and yet at 17 hits (i was soloing him) he was at more than 50% health before i decided to back off and do something more productive, AND he would have had negative magic resist after all my items. so i guess that's something to think about. surely it speeds it up but it's not like he drops like a hat to 1 champ with BRs

the only thing i can think of is it caps the max damage you can do [via BRs, crits, etc] per hit

I don't think debuffs work on baron so your abyssal scepter didn't factor in there.
But yeah, I've been shit on by bigfatjiji as AP warwick when he had the wrong rune page one time.

SERIOUSLY MALADY'S PRETTY GOOD
Seriously, every time I pick teemo or I buy a malady at least 1 person on my team will shit bricks. When I pick teemo and buy malady, hilarity ensues.

malady teemo is fucking awesome.
EDIT: omg, especially with his passive AS boost, it's so sick, they take ridiculously large numbers of ticks.

Sometimes I just don't understand this game, like on a fundamental mechanics level. Just went up against a team that was entirely AP (Karthus, Amumu, Morg, Nid, Vlad). I was playing Nasus and stacked fairly heavy MR: banshees, aegis, merc treads, was up to about 65% reduction or something. Even when I popped my ult at rank three, they just tore through me before I could really do anything. Only their Karthus had MPen at all (Void Staff).
Meanwhile when I play, say, Annie and I go heavy on the MPen to counter a tanky MRes team, I literally do no damage to them whatsoever. Happens to me a lot. I feel like games just "get away from me" and like no matter what champ I'm playing or what build I'm using and no matter the opposition, all of my attacks are just ineffective. Anyone else run into this problem?

So how does jungling work as Amumu? Even with the golem buff I still find myself way behind in levels and useless to the rest of the team.
Also less Brazilians plz kthx. "BR? HUAHUAHUEHUE"

A new world has opened to me in form of AP Poppy!

You're preeeettty much suppose to be, and you can't really gank anyone until level 6 and even then it's kinda iffy because you're blowing your long-CD ult on a gank that may or may not succeed.
However, it does pay off in leaps and bounds later because he gets way more money jungling than if he were to attempt to lane, which = way more tanky.

Also less Brazilians plz kthx. "BR? HUAHUAHUEHUE" You should only be 1, maybe 2 levels behind mid if you're jungling. Make sure to get dragon at the 6 minute mark.
