I happily defer to whoever I'm queueing with if they want a high pick to try to get a hero (like EzPz and Soraka). I'll QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ if I defer and end up having Kass taken though. Edit: Picking order is definitely by Elo, but I'm not sure how they deal with Duo queue. Whenever I duo with Mog we're usually picks 1 and 3, but we're almost always top 2 in Elo on our team, so it doesn't seem to make much sense. | ||

I think there's a correlation. As far as I can tell, pick ordering is in order of ELO with some weirdness when duo queueing (party leader always picks before other player). | ||

Hahah, I prefer it if my team doesn't fail, too, but sometimes that's not going to happen, so I just move on and try to 2v5 the other team. Most of the time it works if my team hasn't fed enough (like that Garen feeding top vs lilballz' team, I still feel like if Smash hadn't accidentally finished Golem and then hadn't blown ult without me for about 20 straight minutes we would have still won despite top and bottom epic failing T_T That golem steal was pretty funny, and a bit sad, hahahah). It's why I may have sounded unnecessarily harsh on Smash but, as the top two elo players on the team I felt like the burden was on us to carry and overcome fail teammates... and we just didn't play it perfectly enough to do it. I'll also always be stuck wondering if I should have ganked more than I did, but I was afraid of the Ezreal getting farmed up every time I left the lane, etc. etc. Edit: Party leader always picks first; my question is what determines 2nd and 3rd pick, because with 1640 I shouldn't be picking third (theoretically) after some 1550 scrub. Obviously I'm not gonna complain, and more-often-than-not I'm very happy when there's people picking 2nd and 3rd, relegating me lower on the pick chart (I hate when we're top 2 pick cuz it means our teammates are usually gonna blow) but I dunno. I've also randomly seen some 1660s pick 4th. It's bizarre. | ||

It feels like if I host a dual-queue, I'm 95% of the time going to have bans/first pick, which I hate. If I'm the invitee in a dual-queue, I'm usually last or 2nd to last. Who knows how that system works. Having first pick though is horrid for me. I much prefer to fill out our team and/or react to the enemy team. All magic damage? Kassadin. All melee/physical champs? Jax. All squishies? Akali. Team looking like a bunch of tards? Pub-stomp style Kayle. Etc etc etc... | ||

Edit: Sadly, their Chogath carried them in that game far more than the Udyr, and he was by far the most devastatingly scary hero on their team  Which is really weird because it's freakin Chogath. How the hell does Wit's End Chogath even work anyways, wtffffffff. | ||

Oh well, they're baddies and we should expect them to suck whereas I'm the fucking man, so I need to play perfectly (honestly, I'm not joking, this is pretty much how you have to approach solo/duo queue, IMO). live and learn I guess, lol. EDIT: Wit's end Cho' Gath feeds off of our terrible solo top to the point where it really doesn't even matter what he buys. Who was he even against? | ||
