I tried Nid for a while during the week when she was free, and honestly I just don't see how one can build tank with her. How tanky can she get? Why would that make a difference when without her AD/AP items she will be doing crap for damage? So here I am completely lost and hoping that someone would enlighten me on this matter =/ Well her ulti has crappy AP ratio so the form will never do really good dmg with the AP and it's mostly about the sustained dmg and the ability to spam. That she would get with the tank build =)
No idea what the build itself is though, probably has some cdr though.

Garen in particular, heh. Just use DS when you think Galio's gonna taunt and you'll get an instant disrupt.

tank nidalee is some shit i made up as a joke after a really bad draft but it ended up being so powerful and i've kept with it. seen some amazing results (beat CLG and jiji's ezreal, 14-1 so far in WCG games, massively improved winrate in ranked, etc etc).
AP nidalee is powerful as a poke hero with spear and imba-heal. with lichbane you're doing massive amounts of damage that also takes advantage of your armor pen runes. it is a very powerful build outside of the fact that it dies very very fast. it's also a very good sidepushing hero since GRB gives you aspd and AP does damage on towers. most of your damage comes from lichbane and Q spamming (both forms) while relying on alt-E for survivability. HSGG's build of choice.
tank nidalee is what i believe to be the modern variation of the AP build that relies on not dying. she falls into the (growing) category of off-tanks that you can't really ignore but can't really waste DPS on. nidalee has no natural tanking ability but is really hard to kill so they have to consider whether to focus you and risk letting you get away with 10% hp or to use deeps on others while you whack at them the entire time. either decision is bad for them. she still does massive damage with cougar-Q so you're still putting out massive deeps.

He typically builds a banshees (as any channeling ult champ would, like Nunu) and if their team is smart, has a Morgana.
A banshees is not a great problem if you pay attention, but Morgana's shield is a huge pain. Not to mention that she gets her ult off perfectly as well. Srsly, he has shield on him AND a banshees, he flashes into your team and ults. Your move?

welcome back gozey =D.

Getting some newfound appreciation for veigar. Imo, he's getting a little ahead of annie now because everyone is so damn tanky that annie accomplishes jack shit once they get negatrons whereas veigar actually pokes a huge hole at their 1 squish while providing AoE stun from nowhere near the battleground.
Mp5 blue/yellow + doran's shield + strength of spirit means no one will be bothering your farming while soloing mid, nor will you be running out of mana.
Once you get a chance to buy, grab glacial shrouds. Veigar has naturally high mana growth so with strength of spirit you're kinda sitting on 45hp regen/s. If he gets golem buff, he will probably be winning his lane because you can't retaliate against him since he has a 2second stun that he can use from 1000 range away.
Stun, poke with baleful, retreat.

If you combine these with vlad's ult which makes all this aoe damage do 25% more it gets silly

18% and that's basically why he's one of the few casters being played competitively now.

just got raped by an Amumu/Fiddle/Galio combo T_T

Highlight of tonight's games: Ghenxx Cho'gath walks into their tower and starts hitting Morgana and Xin(iirc). 15 seconds later, double kill.
Personal highlight: TF ults in to defend tower. I CANNOT BE DISABLED and kill him in under a second with PROlaf burst.

Just played vs an eve who called everyone scrubs. She was 1-2-1 then left the game. I was 6-0-8 Vlad (damn ksers) until the other team surrendered at 25 when we were pushing their inhibs. >.>

So I was playing Kayle and Shaco showed up for a gank. I used heal and invincible to get away. He proceeds to send in the clone to tower dive and the turret promptly blows it up, killing me with the damn explosion. fml
