After next patch I think Vladimir will be a strong 2v1 because in the current build he can clear creep waves very easily and has very little risk of dying.

I'd say Sion isn't great in 1v2 either. 1v2 needs a strong combination of range, recovery, and some farming tool. Also, Mal'zahar, anyone?

A lot of people underestimate how well he can just obliterate someone important and the amount of damage his spells really do. With entire team's not running cleanse/ghost every game there is a lot more he can do to a single champion. With the change to cleanse so it doesnt remove dots you can still unload pretty safely even against targets with cleanse, you just lose a little damage from his ult. As long as you get enough survival to not die for ~ 3 seconds to setup and channel your ult then you should be fine. I've been playing him with 9/21/0 masteries, mpen marks, mp5level seals, CDR/level glyphs, and health quints. Around level 6 if you're dual laning you should easily be able to jib someone with WER and ignite. I think the thing that most people do wrong is they level Q before W and E are maxed and I really don't find it does enough dps or dpm to be worth maxing first. Just farm hard in lane (Which isnt hard because E is op for farming) and with a rylais and some boots you can just kill someone. The biggest problem I have had with him is against a team with too many stuns that will interrupt your ult. If the enemy team has 4 or less you should be fine.

Yeah he's felt relatively decent lately. He just seems like a champion that takes quite a bit of skill, but he can do absolute craptons of damage and his skills are pretty spammable. He'd be a lot more useful if his silence was a bit faster, though. I think that'd make him kind of pick-worthy.

0/21/9 apen/mp5/mres/health ghost/cleanse meki + 2 mana pots -> GRB -> Nashor's EWWQWR -> R > W > Q > E But I'm not sure this is optimal. The things I really feel are the lack of pen and the lack of survivability. If I get ganked I basically slam on alt-WR-df and run away, which works, but eats a lot of cooldowns. Similar deal in teamfights, where it seems REALLY inefficient.

The silence is extremely easy to aim but it doesnt do nearly as much damage in a controllable fashion as his other skills and isnt very ult friendly. I might try a build where I get one point in the silence to use for utility but I haven't really found enough mana to press every button when I want without golem buff anyway. The nudge in the range of his ult is also really really nice. It's definitely noticeable if you played him a lot (like i did) before.

I run 9/0/21, Ghost Cleanse mpen, mp5, cdr, health between masteries + runes + nashoor's tooth I should be about max cdr which is nice you can use R freely since cool down is so low after change. Opening is personal preference but I like boots + 2 mana pot, 1 health pot, and then I rush GBR.
