Seen too many horrible 30s to justify it. again i dont see how this argument has any validity to it. by "banning"(its not like youre never gonna get to 30 and the 30s had to do it anyways) sub 30s, you are most likely taking more bad players out than good. you are more likely taking out the casuals that might leave or not care, because they havent put the time investment into getting to 30. if you really are a good sub 30er chances are you are gonna get to 30 soon enough, and waiting a couple weeks(especially becasue ladder will be more balanced by then) isnt gonna hurt you much. ranked is not the whole game. play the game for fun not for stats and bragging rights. the only good point that has been brought up is that sub 30s should still be able to 5man premade. | ||

Should we ban D- players from ICCUP? team game vs solo play. people were upset that they had people with lesser masteries on their teams and from the statistics they tend to leave/lose more. of course I dont really care at all because after seeing the 1200-ish bracket I could carry 3v5 there. so whatever people are just bad | ||

Should we ban D- players from ICCUP? lol? you idiots need to stop throwing around the word ban. no one is banned. its the same ladder as before except level restriction has been raised from 20 to 30. why was it 20 before? why did you BAN all those people? cause they were too low level? i think the BAN on 20-29 was there mostly for leavers not just for bad people. you can load up LoL right now at level whatever and get better MM than playing ranked games. you know what its called? normal games. youve been playing it all along. if you really want ranked which is supposed to be competitive, play normal abit more just like all the lvl30s did. and again note, i am level 28 and im perfectly fine waiting it out cause i dont have a dire need to stroke my e-peen by seeing my name up on a ladder. | ||

oh well ill use this double post for something. everyone assumes that the ladder will settle down into elo brackets just like normal before, but thats not necessarily the case. yes it will settle at high and low elos. but itll suck if your "real" elo ends up being around 1200, because you will be continuously be being matched with all the new lvl30s and have similar volatility problems that the ladder has right now. not sure how to fix it, but just a general comment. | ||

The difference being that before S1, I could reach the same level as 30s and play with them, because that was where I belong. Now it's the slums. Awesome, if I work at it, I can be the king of shit. I could play ranked yesterday, today I am banned from it until I reach level 30. Ban is synonymous with prohibit, forbid, etc. I am sorry you don't like the fact that I am using that word, but it's perfectly acceptable. Also basing the justification of leavers is bullshit too. I'm sure they will neglect to post the stats that show that leave % remains highest among the lowest ranked players, regardless of what level they happen to be. | ||

you're still on the level of the people who you're getting MMed against in Normal games. it's just now it's the above average 22s and not the average 30s. I'm with most people on the, "christ, I really don't care about the ban, I just wish it didn't cause so much e-drama," stance, but w/e, in the grand scheme of things, it's pretty darn irrelevant. | ||
