Wowowowow that was a sick trailer. Too bad they made it look like an mmorpg.
And lol, 30 mins of console reviews and commercials to watch a 2 min trailer.
And they didn't even talk about the 100,000$ tourney
edit: Oh, apparently they put up an interview online. http://g4tv.com/videos/47372/League-of-Legends-Season-One-Interview/
OH shit, new maps!

Not knowing what the opponents heroes are until the game actually starts is just stupid, people can pick in the last second like they did for a while in HoN, but eventually will realise its stupid and just play properly, this is a must for pub games, blind pick can maybe stay for AT(as you are a team already and SHOULD be able to work cohesively), but other then that, picking heroes while not knowing what the opponent has, going into the game and realising you don't have any or enough disables to counter their heroes is just frustrating. Of course 1 repick should be allowed.
Regarding item counters; some heroes are impossible to defeat without disables, this is where a sheep stick or basher is needed, something that removes their ability to attack for a few seconds ie. sheep. So in the very likely case that your team has no disables, item's make up for that gap, and there are other item's to counter said disable already so it should be fine. And how about buffing thornmail, its so terrabad atm and isnt even a viable option half the time, obviously im going to say make it like blademail; magic resist counters the dmg return anyway, but a viable option to reflect damage and increase survivability is needed other then stacking health which means you have no armor, and stacking armor which means you have no health.
my 2 cents. Draft mode is coming in with the first competitive season.
AKA tomorrow

It's actually an end of the season tourney for the top teams from the ladder. The Alienware tourney is something else.

alienware "only" has like 6700 in prizes

Then I have no idea about any 100k,. ohnoes, wrong.

Last time I did the math, Alienware stuff was a reasonable deal when you add up component cost + warranty. The problem is the components they select -- often a $500+ processor and a $150 graphics card. So you can get a core i7 extreme (useless on anything less than a $3k rig), but not a SSD (at all!).

Holy frig that trailer was awesome.
I've gotta say that when it comes to PR, Riot is really killing it.

Alienware prices are not good, and their tech support is awful

Lol Ryze clearly the best character in the game. Never ending ghost + Dragonball Z skills.
|
i just find it strange that such a weird looking char became riot's posterboy, but w/e, ryze is a pretty cool guy that ghosts through rubble and doesn't afraid of anything.
edit: fine phrost >.>

Annie should have come in at the end and tibbers stunned the entire field

It would be awesome if Heimerdinger was the main hero in that cinematic. Just dancing along the field putting turrets down and laughing.
