As Jax, I'd rather see Kassadin on the enemy team than Morgana. She'll root me, black shield whoever I'm hitting so I can't stun them, then stun me with her ult, then root me again ><
edit: Playing against a team with both Morgana AND Kassadin is an experience in pain, as Jax. I know this firsthand >>

congrat on having such useless teamates... or being in the 1v2 situation....
what about "useless champs"? will any champs be left out of the game? i think eve will be the first :D

Well he didn't do great mid but I don't think TF can own mid anymore. I do recall him getting meijas and a couple of kills early on.
My team was terrible that round though.

For the ladder, does it have to be draft mode or are there separate ladders for draft and non-draft?
In any case, I have 2 heroes that I can work with so I'm A-okay.

In the games I've seen tekkengod on TF he gets smoked mid and then does hardly anything for the rest of the game. I mean, nothing outside of par for the course for an average TF. If that's the best he can do he really just kinda sucks :x I was hoping for something more like Maknoon where he sucks balls on everything other than his main but when he plays his main it's like ZAWMG!

Oh no, it wasn't a 1v2 situation. It was a 5v5 teamfight where the rest of my team was too busy chasing Shaco's clone around to help me out any. I was actually fighting 1v3 >>

I find my teammates to be a bigger problem than the metagame. If you have Jax in your team, you pretty much need to build your team around him, both in teamfights and to a lesser degree at the champion selection screen. If your Morgana is hanging back, playing defensively and using her shield on herself while the enemy team is focusing Jax who's out front, that won't work; if your AP Kog'maw is hanging back using nothing but his ult while the enemy team is focusing Jax who's out front, that won't work either; and if your Blitzcrank tank retreats and waits for his Rocket Grab to cool down instead of staying with Jax in the front, then that's also not gonna work.
In general, if your team members are playing defensively, making sure to keep all their escape avenues open and refusing to commit to a fight until the enemy team brings the fight to them- then Jax simply won't work. I still think he's completely kickass when his team is on the same page and give him support, though.

More like Jax is cheese. Either your whole team supports him and puts all their eggs in the Jax Basket, or they don't and he's useless.

Ranked play will be draft mode, Normal mode will remain as is. You might want to learn a bit more champions, remember even though only 4 champions are banned, draft mode means that picking a champion is equivalent to banning it for the other team. If you end up last pick, that means that there would be 4 banned champions, and 9 picked away champions, so 13 champions would be off the table. if 2 of those 13 champions are the ones you know, you would be pretty screwed.

Most heroes are "usable." Ryze is still not a good hero, and I feel like gkgkjrs plays him to his maximum potential, but, uhhh...

Yeah, I guess this is another way of saying that you need to build your team around Jax. My experience with him has been really frustrating in solo queue because my team will never do that- I can be 6-0 and I'll still die horribly in team fights because my teammates are playing super-cautious (i.e. they leave me hanging).

I've still recently seen successful Eves, lol, so yea, they've done a shockingly awesome job with this game's balance, even crappy heroes are perfectly playable with some innovation and good play. The only hero I would honest to god talk someone out of trying to play currently is Veigar.
Ryze is gonna make you think really hard about why you're not playing Annie real soon, but hey, he can still burst an entire team from full health to next to nothing with his faceroll combo better than just about anyone, so *shrugs*, do what you wanna do.

Has little to do with cautious etc. Jax is just not a very strong hero, so to carry with him you need a whole lot of shit like Zilean's ult and Morgana's shield, to let you carry. That's why some teams back when Jax was strong ran BS teams like Jax Soraka Shen Zilean Nidalee. As a standalone hero in a non-committed team (and most people are not willing to play 4 support 1 Jax teams) he's pretty bad, especially now after he's been nerfed.

my 2 cents on Jax are that he sure seems like the best character to pair with Shen, Morgana, Kayle and Janna, but if you're not running a team full of bubbles for him, he's just bad because of how long he needs to live through a teamfight to actually output his damage.

maknoon's been playing vs the best of the best for quite a while now. he still dominates even vs the top players.... though recently i saw his red pot panth get raped by HS's nidalee.
edit: on that note, i stopped playing kat for a while and i'm under +100... zzzzzzzz
