imo unless you main jax movespeed quints are more useful on most heroes... why should you dodge an autoattack that you could have ran away from :D if you have enough rune pages so that you can build a dodge page for junglers / jax etc. then that sounds dandy, but with my two rune pages i go for widespread usability >.>

wat this makes no sense to me so you would take a 10-20% chance of dodging instead of taking no damage at all?
damage prevented by dodge is only really "consistent" in jungle unless you're up against a full physical dps team... at which point you should stop tryharding and build 6 sunfire capes
'sides, can't dodge spells but you can run the hell away from skillshots or from casting zones both of which are aided by movequints and they help to get around the map a bit easier
and they make demacia more easy etc.
dodge runes and items have diminishing returns the more you get them seeing as the formula for them makes it so that, say, you have a 20% dodge chance item (pdancer) and get two of them you would have 80% chance of getting hit with the first pdancer and then the next 20% comes out of the 80% chance of getting hit which becomes 36% dodge instead of 40.
they have historically been outshined by other runes but ofc are nice on jax because he actually has a skill that both increases dodge chance and can be used after a dodge

I think what he was trying to say, is some heroes don't want to just run away and not take any damage, some heroes want to kill the hero thats fighting them head to head, in that case dodge quints are better
personally I like move quints, they are awesome

Well after playing primarily nothing but AP heroes, I got ahold of a Pax Jax skin and (with the recent buff) decided to spend an absolutely ridiculous amount of IP on a Jax runepage (ArPen reds, Dodge Seals, Flat Cooldown Blues, Flat HP Quints).
Does anyone have any sort of advice for this hero? How good is he in the jungle? What are common masteries? Good lane partner? etc. This skin (and the insane dodge seal investment) are making me want to play him, but I need some knowledge.

Really liking the new Malady design, it synergises well with the abilities of many champions and has excellent synergy with Madred's. IMO it will become a must in many builds.

no idea on jungling whatsoever this is laning jax
as jax, like any melee carry, you need an advantage mid game in order to be somewhat decent. all viable melee carries atm have 1 thing in common, they jungle or just are very efficient without many items (xin/ww/olaf/master yi/pantheon) i think ww and olaf are more like tanks then dps but they both do a ton of dmg without items.
not sure about after the buffs but the problem with the hero is that he's extremely rng dependant, in the jungle in the lane etc. solo jax can be viable, you are off quite a lot better during mid game.
jump onto squishies or the easiest target and whack the shit outa him, you aren't a tank because you have no mitigation towards magic so use your head. i think that's the hardest part about jax, knowing when to fight.
item build usually is guinsoos -> your choice. you can go tankier if your team is short on meat shields, choices include banshees/randuins and general good tank items. dps a common build is guinsoos atmas triple pot then GA, ga is always a good item on squishy melee dps. you can go starks after and inf edge if you're still not done. quicksilver sash is good, get it if theres a galio/malz/ww etc. pop elixirs often, it's important on jax since he benefits from them so much. not sure what the skill build is for sure, im guessing 1 in each max q then max e or w . o yeah red buff, always take it it's so important on jax. top 10 heroes in the game who needs it imo
and don't ever get a phantom dancer unless it's your like 5th item and they have 2 or more melee dps i haven't played jax seriously for a long time so yeaah

vsed a 0-9 garen with leviathan. played with a 1-11 lux with soulstealer who called me an idiot (I was 2-1-2 at the time, and only died b/c of a 5 man gank at mid tower when I got stunned by anivia, slowed by karthus, and nuked down .....my team was too dumb to fricken come when I tell them)
Demacia just isn't what it used to be.
