I usually rarely use Parrrley in lane, in fact. Most of the time, autoattack + scurrvy spam is more efficient. Basically, I play Gangplank with the goal of gimping one or two members of their team. Level 5 Parrrley lets you catch up on gold SO QUICKLY that it is seriously not even humorous. Basically, by maxing heal in lane you can stay forever in the face of any harass. Parrrley is something to do when you don't need to heal and you have the mana to deny.
In lane I prioritize keeping E on cooldown over using Q. I use Q for the occasional last-hit or hero poke. Once I get ~32 MP5/L I'll start being quite liberal with Q for farming, might as well maximize gold advantage.
Reading up on runes and going over some more numbers, I had no idea that 9x Intellect Glyphs gave a flat 124.65 mana, that's a 60.8% increase in starting mana. I'll lose my CDR but that just means my MP5/L and Mana become more efficient.
Right now I'm thinking of something like this:
9x Desolation Marks 9x Clarity Seals 9x Intellect Glyphs 3x Wisdom Quints 9/0/21 Exhaust/Ghost
I have no way to test if this is better except for grinding for a few more months and buying everything I need. -_- I also really like my CDR :/

Sona is fucking useless.

What the fvck, playing jungler is sooo easy so why not? O.o I can't test any new champ cause i don't want the game to be ruined => i need to pick a jungler (i'm in love with olaf nowadays so i don't play any other jungler anyway)

Other than that, I guess it's my fault that I fail at posting worthy topic discussions. I'm really interested in hearing about jungle yi. Armor reds / quints, mana p5 yellows, flat CDR blues 1/14/15 masteries with imp smite, less damage from phys and minions, exp mastery, meditate, and the 30% buff longevity smite ghost if you dont wanna get creep jacked, (and dont wanna depend on Q luck) Open clotharmor + 5 pot into madreds or lantern (bloodrazors later maybe) I had a variation where I opened dagger + 1 pot first, but noone liked the guide I wrote for it (even though it was a perfectly safe jungle build -_-) Press Q. Alot. I'd say the safest way is to open with small golems (or wraiths, but ur mid might be an ass and jack the exp off it) - wraithes - wolves (go back and heal, u shouldnt had used more than 1 potion so far, even less if u were lucky with Q, if you were super lucky go jack their wraiths as well, even though u probally should just kill the mini lizards at golem if youre against a jungler and go back) buy something useful and do golem. Jungling frm here should be a breeze (even meetin a WW only turned out well for me)

Amumu, Taric, Fiddle, Sion, Ashe team. All stuns/slow/fears/binds. We somehow won, and convincingly too. Never lost a single tower or teamfight. I like my arranged team in ranked. o_O
I'm waiting on my friend to hit 30 before we start arranged team queueing in ranked, and Amumu is my main. I've been terrified because I've heard he gets banned like every game...how do you manage to still get him?
On another note it seems I'm usually the team tank so if I can't get Amumu I need to learn another one...I was thinking Malphite because his initiate is somewhat similar (though I suppose Galio's is closer...don't like Galio though) in that he rushes in, just minus the crazy AoE.
Any other ideas TL?

any tips for vlad? I started playing him going mask->sorcer's shoes->rylai's(if I get farther than this)->zhonya's->etc... but I never seem to do enough damage with my abilities. He feels like a soggy wet noodle who doesn't know what he wants to be : /

what i REALLY REALLY HAAAAATE (!!!!) about lol elo system:
compared to sc2, where you always will go up with time, unless you are top 10 or something, in lol the way down is just as short as the way up. it pisses me off when i played 5 hours and have a lot less elo than when i started. then its like poker (which i luckily stopped playing) where you just cant stop because you want at least the rating with which you started, but then you lose, AGAIN !!!
omg, i really want to smash things now!

Next time I see a soraka go 7/2/13 I'll agree with you.
I think Sona has way more damage output than soraka, She might not heal as well as soraka, but that's because she's more of a support than healer if you want to make the difference. Her CC is better but on a longer cooldown, her spammy heal is much more spammy / easier to target in a fight and her damage spell has longer range.
Instead of infinite mana she gets a gimmicky movement speed buff which can be useful but usually not unless you have enough CDR and mana to spam all 3.
So yes, she can do damage and I think it's better than sorakas She can definitely spam her abilities, heck that's the entire purpose of sona is spamming and of course you're squishy. Don't get caught without ghost+flash.
Now, if we're arguing which is the better champion? I don't know yet. But your first two reasons for hating her seem like a $$ issue from bad farm.

Somehow won? How is it possible to lose?

Soraka is better at "supporting" and by supporting, I really just mean healing. Sona bring so much more in team fights. Healing (to a lesser degree), mobility, and unlike a lot of other support champions, Sona can actually do damage.

Play team Banshee and dive Ashe imo.

To be honest the only stun that reallyscares me is Taric's so godamn annoying.

We were nowhere near almost winning that game LOL. Dan Dihn was having connection problems for like, 5 out of the first 10 minutes and they still romped us in every teamfight except for the one where we got romped and then I quad killed them *flexes*. But seriously, it just points out that we're good laners and good individual players, but when it comes to teamwork, especially in terms of establishing map presence and positioning for teamfights, we have a long way to go. should play my crew, we stomp all the boys and girls just send me a good time to scrim in game warning: playing against my team may cause players to seriously rethink how good they are, and/or quit playing all together (4 teams have disbanded after scrimmaging against my team a few times) I think I remember running into your team pre-season 1 and wanting to quit Pantheon afterwards because of how helpless I felt, LOL. Still might be fun to get our asses kicked for a night :p. true we were a long way from winning, though we were a ways away from losing as well..at least until that mistake lol i completely agree though, we need to work on teamwork more, and also work on our strategies..EVERY game it seems like we go in and its entirely reacting to what they do, instead of thinking of some things to force them to react to us (though obviously we cant ignore what theyre doing) I'm a bit guilty of having two very simplistic and straight-forward strategies... which is why I was getting really flustered after the losing streak: 1) Farm 2) Win teamfights So then when we couldn't win teamfights I was like ??? because I rarely, rarely have that issue with team comps, and when you think about it that's basically all I tend to do, abuse stun-heavy team comps and win... but then we were running two solo laners with no disables and it was totally throwing me out of whack, hahah. I think we need to sit down and talk strategy, especially with regards to warding and how to leverage the map control it affords us. We play really mobile champions, yet we never seem to leverage it aside from elementary, solo-queue-level Nid/Panth/Shen solo pushing :p. We also need to think about team comps a bit better (and by relation the strats we'll use) instead of this "SHAKE GO NID" and then "WAIT WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH DISABLES FUUU" business. Also the "oh shit they banned MF and took Panth and WW" was kinda messy >_> Edit: Also: "omg we have no ranged DPS" We need a Tristana player
Oh and I'll get skype next time we play so we don't die when typing haha. Or you guys could just get on tl vent ;;

i think that guy was trolling, because i havent seen a team with sona in ranked lose yet. Ive been seeing a lot of horrible 1600+ people lately and guess who they all pick? Sona.
so thats how they got there.
she is absurdly strong, ive seen people build fucking triforce and innervating locket and still rape.

Worse than AOE Ult teams? Any combination of Vlad, Rammus, Fiddle, Amumu, Galio, MF, and Kennen. So damned annoying.

crit damage on tryn? yes or no?
i find myself hitting 100% crit with just a few items, so i feel that trying out crit damage runes would be a very nice.
p.s., someone mentioned that they only effect base damage? if thats the case they would be pretty worthless. anyone have more information?
