Individuals in a team-game psychology, IMO

Uta that was very well-put. My personal fave is people complaining of 'team-fagging,' as it were, which I can only assume is the term for an idiot out of position being ambushed and team-ganked.

Apparently that's not how you're supposed to play.
Other gems include how the loss is everyone's fault but your own, and lag.

We were nowhere near almost winning that game LOL. Dan Dihn was having connection problems for like, 5 out of the first 10 minutes and they still romped us in every teamfight except for the one where we got romped and then I quad killed them *flexes*.

But seriously, it just points out that we're good laners and good individual players, but when it comes to teamwork, especially in terms of establishing map presence and positioning for teamfights, we have a long way to go.

I'm a bit guilty of having two very simplistic and straight-forward strategies... which is why I was getting really flustered after the losing streak:
1) Farm
2) Win teamfights

So then when we couldn't win teamfights I was like ??? because I rarely, rarely have that issue with team comps, and when you think about it that's basically all I tend to do, abuse stun-heavy team comps and win... but then we were running two solo laners with no disables and it was totally throwing me out of whack, hahah.

Edit:
It's kinda why EzPz was raging about "running around like headless chickens" and I was just minding my own business farming creep >_>

Nobody here has a problem playing with me. Especially when a good majority of the time I carry. Ask 5hit/south/heav about the recent games they've played with me.

Don't need some random trash talking because of the little drama me and 5hit caused earlier.

ps. what's wrong with being good while having some fun?

just because no one speaks up about it, i'd rather lose a game then win a game getting carried by a guy telling me how bad I am the whole game, what problems does that solve?

carrying a game doesn't give you an excuse to be a complete asshole to everyone.

Who says that I'm a complete asshole to everyone? Are you everyone? I've been open to teaching noobies about mapawareness and such. You were probably yelled at by me for making the same mistake over and over again without doing anything to remedy it.

actually all you did was call me bad incessantly while our team was complete owning a game.

also I find it absolutely hilarious your use of the term "random" as if winning normal games with jungle yi makes you superior to everyone.

I think we need to sit down and talk strategy, especially with regards to warding and how to leverage the map control it affords us. We play really mobile champions, yet we never seem to leverage it aside from elementary, solo-queue-level Nid/Panth/Shen solo pushing :p.

Edited and fixed now. It just slipped my mind. Or maybe it is a grudging resentment from you never carrying me before in an LoL game? The world may never know.

On a moere serious note, how about the finer details of using TF ulti? Some people manage to use it to catch people who are low in jungle. I never felt confident enough burning ulti to check for this.

We also need to think about team comps a bit better (and by relation the strats we'll use) instead of this "SHAKE GO NID" and then "WAIT WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH DISABLES FUUU" business. Also the "oh shit they banned MF and took Panth and WW" was kinda messy >_>

I'm going to completely ignore rice to avoid getting banned by GTR again.

Anyhow, I've always been a fan of using my ulti regardless if I'm looking to pick someone off or not just because it can also save you or your teammates from a massive 3-4 man gank during midgame. Not to mention that you can save yourself from instagibbness from a gank after you cleanse the cc's.

TL:DR Version -

I use my ulti whenever I can.

It comes down to knowing junglers and when they're weak at certain timings. It's like using Scan in SCBW to look for muta spawn time et cetera.

Late game TF? Hit that button every single time it's up and you see less than 4 of the other team on the mini map.

Early TF? hit it when your duo lane has been level 4 for a few seconds. level 6 for a few seconds.. etc. Just knowing when other junglers are low health or ready to gank is a big plus.

Maybe I could make a spreadsheet on that.

edit: oh yeah, knowing creep kills on the jungler and where that means they are on the map is huge too.. really only can tell this for your first ult though.

Imo, late game tf can pick off most roaming tanks + pushers with teleports.

For example, I LOVE picking off pantheons especially whenever they leave their team's side to clean up another lane thinking that they can just ulti during a teammate. I have my doubts against shens unless I have red buff because shens have stupid damage output due to ki strike.

I feel like Pantheons also love picking off TFs that think they can ult into a teamfight, lol. Weird stuff going on in that matchup.

Pantheon would win early game hands down due to his spell scaling. But in most of the late game play I've done against pantheons, I tend to rape them because flash + cleanse > his stun and HS.

I mean we've come within one or two mistakes of beating truly top players, not a whole lot fazes me except for my own over-aggressiveness and overconfidence (mainly during laning).

After beating salce 1v1 and our team almost beating Regi, Chauster etc, I find a lot of the top players underwhelming

should play my crew, we stomp all the boys and girls just send me a good time to scrim in game

warning: playing against my team may cause players to seriously rethink how good they are, and/or quit playing all together (4 teams have disbanded after scrimmaging against my team a few times)

I think I remember running into your team pre-season 1 and wanting to quit Pantheon afterwards because of how helpless I felt, LOL.

Still might be fun to get our asses kicked for a night :p.

true we were a long way from winning, though we were a ways away from losing as well..at least until that mistake lol
i completely agree though, we need to work on teamwork more, and also work on our strategies..EVERY game it seems like we go in and its entirely reacting to what they do, instead of thinking of some things to force them to react to us (though obviously we cant ignore what theyre doing)

I think we need to sit down and talk strategy, especially with regards to warding and how to leverage the map control it affords us. We play really mobile champions, yet we never seem to leverage it aside from elementary, solo-queue-level Nid/Panth/Shen solo pushing :p.

Edit:
Also: "omg we have no ranged DPS"

I would gladly fill the ranged dps category if I didn't play at 15-20 fps during most teamfights

Anyhow, back to the TF lvl 6 gank on the side lanes. I generally tell my sidelanes to start playing more aggressively when I'm at lvl 5 1/2 so that it's possible for me to gank the one that's at low life. If it can't be done, just go back to ricing up mid as much as you can or give some relief to your side lanes and have the jungler hold mid while you allow your other lanes to shop.

TF = Map control

On a moere serious note, how about the finer details of using TF ulti? Some people manage to use it to catch people who are low in jungle. I never felt confident enough burning ulti to check for this.

It comes down to knowing junglers and when they're weak at certain timings. It's like using Scan in SCBW to look for muta spawn time et cetera.

Have any ballpark figures for common junglers?

tanktheon typically stomps TF in the nuts if they fight 1v1 late game. stupidtheon drops too fast, but if you can eat 2-3 seconds of TF burst, you just trade Q with gold card, then W -> Q -> ghostblade activate, and you stomp TF.

EDIT: LOL, they're still using HSS on you!?!?!?!?!!?

It's more that EzPz usually does ranged DPS, so then when he gets WW instead (cuz MF gets banned/picked) we end up with weird comps like WW Sona Panth Sion Vlad and it's like WE FORGOT AGAIN. It's silly and unnecessary, hahah.
