Boom, at all the doomsingers O_O

volley changes seems to be pretty balanced, extra damage is a pretty decent tradeoff for 2 arrows, not stacking the slows makes chasing a bit harder, but still doable, hawkshot is very good utility, its one of those skills that require skills and coordination to really shine, bottom calls mia, you hawkshot, gank avoided, need to check dragon? hawkshot, want to gank at their golem? hawkshot behind the golem to see whats up, pretty sweet. The range at lvl 5 basically is half the map great for late game pushes

OK, I didn't know about the bug so I assumed volley just wouldn't slow anymore.
I can also confirm the Gangplank change is to the radius of individual cannon balls -- the numbers are less than 300, which is smaller than Sivir's auto attack range (barely larger than melee characters' auto attack ranges), so it can't possibly be the targeted area.
I'd like to hear from Ashe players on Hawkshot vs. enemy junglers. How easy is it to keep track of/gank them now? Does Ashe just completely neutralize junglers' map control advantage? If so, she could be quite nerfed and still be a hugely powerful situational pick in season 1.

for ashe to effectively do that, she needs to level hawkshot past level 2, plus the cd isnt too low so junglers can still do well.

1) The radius is less than 300, the diameter is 2x that, though. I'm preeeeeeeeeetty sure it's the hit-range of the ult, not the individual cannonball. So we're talking about the radius of a cannonball being like 580? Something about that seems off. 2) Hawkshot is just basically another Clairvoyance... I don't recall Clairvoyance really jacking up junglers :x

So I've been thinking about a new build for Veigar, and with a few fellow TLers in LiquidParty, I've cooked this up:
- Doran's Ring + health pot/Sapphire crystal + 2 pots to start with - If doing well: Mejai's - T1 boots - Catalyst - Sorc shoes/Merc threads - Rod of Ages - Deathfire Grasp - Lich bane: having an auto attack as extra nuke is nice I reckon, although this may go against the nuker mindset of unleashing nukes and getting out asap. If they are stacking magic resistance, it's obviously a better idea to get a Void Staff.
Then either a Zhonya's, or some survivability item like Banshee's Veil or Guardian Angel. Maybe one could skip the RoA, but that would make one awfully squishy, and the mana pool a bit small, now that Primordial Burst no longer gives mana on a kill.
Any thoughts/suggestions?

Yeah, it's not going to bother junglers much since they know you see them. It's a LITTLE better than clairvoyance since the bird sees like 3 other brushes on the way up to their golem/lizard, as well as the wraith camp.
Veigar nerf is pretty damning to be honest. His ulti does crap damage for an ulti now.

So was it established that it's worthwhile to stack Sunfires on Shen? I'm gonna pick him up as an alternate to Taric and, if so, my item build would be ruby -> aegis -> mercury -> SUNFIRES!!! -> victory.
None of the guide on LoL.com mention Sunfires, but they're all months old.

sunfires works on every champion against noobs, it works on very few champions against pros, observe your early laning phase and see which kind of team you're up against.

yes Sunfires are universally pro
but the reason I'm asking this is:

what else does Shen need if not health+armor (after getting mres from Mercury + Aegis)? Banshees Veil maybe?

Tried Ashe out in a practice game, this is what I have to report:
- Frost Shot slow% is a nerf overall, but it's not a huge deal.
- Volley still snares, it just doesn't stack with Frost Shot snare anymore. Looks more like a bug fix than anything, although it still has the effect of reducing Ashe's actual in-game performance.
- Volley: 7 shots instead of 9 means you still cover the same area, your shots are just spread farther apart. It's a somewhat noticeable nerf.
- Volley larger bonus damage is largely irrelevant; chances are you'll take an early level in Hawkshot and then max Frost Shot first, so you're not feeling any bonus damage whatsoever until champion level 8, and you get the full 20 bonus damage by level 13; by this time your damage should be high enough that 20 bonus damage isn't a big deal.
- As someone reported before me, Hawkshot costs no mana. It has a 60 second CD at all levels. It still gives the bonus gold from Plentiful Bounty. Cast range is 2500/3250/4000/4750/5500. At level 1, the skill can travel roughly twice as much as Trist can travel with her jump- you can just barely check out most camps on your half of the map while being on mid, which could be a pretty big deal for dealing with junglers. The bird is pretty inconspicuous, but it makes a noticeable *pof* when it reaches its destination; chances are you'll notice when an Ashe spotted you with it, but you won't necessarily be able to tell where the bird came from. The terrain it reveals while in-flight is paltry; the area it reveals when it ends has roughly half the radius of Clairvoyance. I haven't checked whether it reveals people hiding in the brush yet. At max level, cast range is enough that you can check both lizard camps while you're standing at one of the golem camps.
- Enchanted Crystal Arrow should stun for less time now, another small nerf.
All in all, several small nerfs (the biggest 'nerf' is probably Volley snare not stacking with Frost Shot snare anymore), and a a free mini-clairvoyance to make up for it. Can't really tell whether Ashe is better or worse off by just playing against bots :p

God the new veigar SUUUUUUUCKS

And no one believed me when I said he was getting nerfed.

Garen change looks like the most important one IMO
real talk tho... this patch seems really tame.

They killed Soraka, and by relation Kassadin. I am fawked

Mogwai: have you ever laned with a Corki? I've never seen Panth + Corki, but I think the double jump, double AoE/DoT combo would be pretty funny, and might lead to some early kills.
Also curious if you ever tried out your jungle experiment.
In other news: anyone tried jungle Olaf? I tried this in a practice game, and smite + W + doran's shield + health pots = lizard (though I now think golem might be better on him). I haven't seen much of Olaf at all since he was introduced, which surprises me -- he seems like a decent tank.

we'll see south, we'll see...
btw im tired of all the champions coming out being 6300 IP. Now I get to wait x amount of weeks to try the little monster dude
