I have a question about stacking items.
When an items says e.g. "unique passive: reduces cooldows by 15%", does this mean that any other item that also have "unique passive: reduces cooldows by xx%" does not apply, or does it rather mean that stacking that same item does not apply?

You can stack two different items that give the same passive effect. You just can't have two of the same thing when it's "unique"

ugh, besides buying riot points, i can't buy another hero until i play some games right? because apparently i bought corki a long ass time ago and it seems i'm stuck with him.

Apparently I have corki as well and I sure never bought him. Dunno if he is given for free to all?

corki was given to everyone for free a while back as a reward for voting in some competition

My lvling order is ult>fear>drain>wind with 1 pt in wind.
Dark wind is useful in lane. If you need to kill a creep wave quickly, Fiddle has no better skill. If you're behind in farm (not unusual on Fiddle since you spend time waiting in the weeds to gank) this can be very useful.
That said, I tend to keep wind at level 1 as long as possible, as well.

I think tristana is also free right now if you do the facebook thing.
On an unrelated note, I started using smite on Kassadin, and it really works wonders. The exp boost from killing the neutral camp helps me stay half a level above the enemy during laning, which helps a lot in harassing. Kass' laning SUCKS, and more than half the time I end up using my Q and E to farm. Didn't really feel like Kass needed flash though of course sometimes I wish I did (getting golem and using blue pot constantly helps make up for it). Not sure what I want to use as my second summoner spell, but Heal sounds really tempting.

Smite is the most underrated summoner skill on champs that need just a little boost to their farm. A lot of champs don't have a use for it because they're carry or support, but champs like kass and cho really benefit from it in lane and at lv1 jungle camps. I kill the wraiths with Cho before I go mid, two minion kills puts me to lv2 when they're stuck at lv1 with... 2 minion kills.

I used to go smite/teleport on kassadin all the time (probably mentioned earlier in this thread) but I think that was overkill, since teleport means you can stay in the lane that much longer, and keeps your mana up. If you have enough mana regen through runes/masteries you can usually get away with just nuking creeps with Q.
I want to experiment with a clarity-based kassadin build, and just going pure AP with a small mana-pool. I don't think kassadin is used as much anymore since other casters have higher damage outputs; once he blinks in and blows his load, everyone is free to jump on him at no penalty. Perhaps this is why I've seen him built with trinity force/banshee's by the top tier players.

my summoner name is KwonYuri btw if anyone wants to help me out. Yeah, to start off you pretty much have to use whatever's available that week. There are several champions that are pretty cheap to buy with Influence Points though (450 IP apiece), I think they are Soraka, Master Yi, Nunu, Sivir, Kayle and Ashe. If any of those are good enough for you to play more games with, you can buy them, then save enough points for a secondary champion or a champion you like better.

why the fuck is nidalee's burst damage so huge!?
|
"Grandmother, what big burst damage you have!" "All the better to eat you with, my dear."
And with that, the wicked Nidalee fell upon the little Mogwai, and ate him all up.
|
I was actually the one playing Nidalee :p.
But seriously! wtf! I built hybrid... trinity + brutalizer. Here's level 18 Ashe at like, 85% health. 1 second later, I've rolled my face on my keyboard and she's gone. I seriously feel like Nidalee's faceroll cougar combo does like 2K damage.

keeping dark wind at lvl 1 is why you guys have farming problems, would you rather have 2 bounces of silence in a teamfight or a shitload of bounces keeping everyone silenced? choice is pretty obvious. and yes dark wind is a great farming skill, I can usually hit triple digit minions before any of the side lanes, sometimes even the mid lanes depending on the heroes and aggressiveness between them.

Hes so good. Kennen sucks, imo. A squishy hero that has to be up in your face to do any meaningful damage (which still isn't really matched by other heroes who can do damage from farther range/more safely like Annie and Anivia). He's annoying with his Shurikens early game but he falls apart mid game when every other nuker in the game starts to shine.

Man I just played a game with some really gosu Teemo who owned our whole team repeatedly but because his team kept feeding us we won. Never felt so bad for somebody on another team before. I've never feared a Teemo like I did that game.

Fiddle, Dark Wind is nice for bouncing silence but more importantly, it's a good farming tool. You can do fine with just Drain at level 1. If you keep Dark Wind at level 1, you'll farm a lot slower.
Kennan is fun but not really viable in a premade team fights.
