Banshees as Core item? Yeah it´s great but don´t you usually get it depending on enemy Team composition? Why not go Rod of Ages, after it "charges" for 2 minutes it´s the most cost effective item for the stats it gives.

Jungle Nasus viable? I've been going this route with him anytime I felt my team needed two solo-lanes and I've been doing decently. He's actually a little better at farming the jungle than warwick, which leads to gaining levels really fast, and with his slow and his imba ulti, he makes an "ok" ganker, though admittedly nowhere near as good as warwick. Since you open madred for jungling, you pretty much have to build into a bloodrazor later and make him a DPS-tank, which suits him just fine. Nasus gets a LOT of assists in teamcombat due to his massive AoE damage, so leviathan builds up fast even if he's the first to die. You can solo dragon just fine at level 6 without your ulti if you build madreds, but you can use your ulti to kill him off in under 5 seconds, effectively giving enemies no time to react.

EDIT: I want to try Ez, Nid, Taric, Sivir, WW. I'm still 100% convinced that Ez + Nid + WW is optimal in the heal team and I think Taric + Sivir makes the 10 minute push impossible for most teams to deal with (+ I think it's a nasty fb threat with stun setting up for easy double boomerang hits).

It might be. I still think Soraka is also optimal for her mana restoration though, which is crucial in keeping up siege combat (so you can pluck down a tower and grind the enemy team down).

Also I feel terrible about that last game, I have no doubt in my mind we were better players, but we were screwing around too much with hero choices, and we learned a big lesson on the necessity of Nidalee for pushing down towers (and to an extent Warwick).

maybe. I dunno, I rarely need mana on Ez since I open Tear of the Godess and run full Mp5pL Glyphs and Seals when I go AP. It is nice sometimes when we push from an outer turret all the way to inhib and having the silence is also nice, but I just wonder if you'd even need to have drawn out sieges when you can just congregate on Sivir's ult, then stack Taric's ult, WW's W, and Ez's W (plus Nid's heal for good measure O_O). I just picture towers dropping in 3 seconds.

EDIT: yea, that last game was really bad. it was definitely past my bed time... I was making so many stupid choices. I feel bad that we dragged Brees down so much on that one :p, though that kill on Janna was probably the most epic thing I've ever seen LOL.

for those who weren't there... Brees was AP Sion, running away from 4 of us dying. Janna and someone else were in pursuit, Janna having just respawned with full health, the other person being lower. Brees is like, at 25% on their side of the river when he puts up shield. about when he hits the river, he just turns around, fires a stun into Janna's fresh wind shield, attacks with a Lich Bane Proc, detonates his shield and she just explodes. I swear, he must've dropped over 2K in raw damage before MR/Armor and her shield came into play cause she dropped from 1.3K health to 0 in about 0.2 seconds.

Because a taunter and/or an AoE creep-smasher forces the team to whittle down the tower. It's only when the other team screwed up that we leapt on them, killed one with WW/Nid/Ez, and then smashed down the tower. Don't get me wrong I can see Sivir helping in punishing them for screwing up, but in many games (ie. the second xdog/devine/etc. game) the enemy team isn't going to be stupid and get out of position to give us that opportunity, or at least not do it too early. It's why in that second game I was annoyed when Baikin ran in instead of watching for the Fiddle - we were knocking down their overall HP, we just needed to keep at it and keep whittling down their tower. Instead he'd use punt and Fiddle would kill us.

Edit:
It's also why I bemoaned the fact that we didn't have proper ranged DPS - Nidalee woulda let us push down those towers much, much faster due to being able to hit the tower hard. No real biggy though.

What glyphs do you use for a healing hero? Dodge and Mp5/level for yellow/blue, I'm assuming, but what's the best for reds?

I do MPen/ArmorPen and Mp5 Mp5. I don't bother with 6.5% dodge runes. Havem, but I've sworn by Mp5 ever since I noticed the crazy effect they have on regen.

Don't be silly with your little ideas about what would be good. AP rammus? use another hero. With caster heavy you want Aegis into MR, HP5 and some extra health Veil is of course a must, but if they're all casters, you're going to be very farmed up very quickly because rammus demolishes them in lane with a decent partner with early taunts. So throwing in a thornmail (pre patch) or a randuins omen now will come in very handy when pushing towers. Casters can't do much against a rammus that has stacked MR and HP5, but anything will own AP rammus.

Early taunts with Rammus hardly do anything to decent enemy lanes. Rammus is a pretty big liability in lanes to be honest, it's what makes him really tough to pull off in good games. I've never tried AP Rammus but considering he's at his best ganking, I can see the early damage buff rocking. He's one of the best chasing heroes in the game; if his AP scale is good enough to let him output the damage to kill people alone, I'd guess it works fine.

HP5 runes are stupid, and regen doesn't help against nukers. As mentioned several times in this thread, MR < max HP, because...

Almost every caster starts out with a base 15% magic penetration.
Most casters will place close to 15 flat magic penetration on top of this.
Further, most casters get Sorc boots for another flat 20.
Some casters get another 20 from Haunting.
And most casters get 40% from Void Staff.

This means the majority of MR is canceled out. Now, couple this with the fact that a tank Rammus won't really do much to a caster team (you'll stun(taunt) one for a bit but that's it), as they'll just ignore you, and you see why tank Rammus is pretty useless vs casters. He's really only fabulous against melee DPS, of which there aren't many.

HPpL seals are my defensive seals of choice when I'm not running dodge masteries.

I never see AP Rammus, but I'm getting to the point where I'll just take Brees's word on shit like that :p.

He's pretty good. He definitely outclassed Warwick before IMO (I always jokingly said he had WW's ult on a 6-sec cd), but his stun only lasts 1 second, and he jungles slower. They both have their pros and cons, I prefer Warwick's superior survivability and better team-fight power (area attack-speed buff) at the moment.

I'm learning that jungling in solo queue is really hard. People just blindly wander to their lanes, so I have to give specific directions about guarding me from ganks, making sure the 1v2 is lizard side, etc., etc. Then people push their lanes, even after I've done dragon, making it hard to gank.

I may just start playing more Sivir.

Only like 5 of those were solo-queue, and I'm actually 1-4 solo queueing. lol.

Wondering when my Elo will get hammered down to the point that I start winning again, but no luck so far.
