The truth is most likely that the Jedi Council (SOJ, SB, Warchamp ?) got council with the lawyer on Knuckles and Lyn etc, and they got fearful for their own livelihoods and buggered out. Or they got legal threats and can't talk about it. Here's probably the most truthful and informative thread about the whole thing, has most of the info congregated in it. Eventually, the electrifying passion that coursed through us arced out and drew in more people until our small circle of friends grew into a team, and that team grew into an international community. Project M and its community have grown larger than any of us ever anticipated, and it’s truly heartwarming to see all of the unforgettable connections and friendships that have been forged through this project. Unfortunately, we’re here to say that we’re at the end of that road. We’ve learned so much in the process of making Project M—accumulating life-changing lessons in communication, team work, professionalism, work ethic, and more—but there’s only so far we can take those skills in a volunteer project. With this in mind, we’ve made a difficult business decision: We’re ready to finish development here and move on to bigger and better ventures. We realize that this will come as a shock to many of our fans. Please, forgive us. Again, it’s been an excruciating call to make, but it’s been made a bit easier by our satisfaction with the previous and final release, v3.6. We’ve spent six years polishing Project M, and rather than let it drag on through another several years of dwindling development and change-fatigue in the competitive circle, we’re going to consider our work complete. In the mean time, we plan to be hard at work on new projects, built from the ground up. We can’t spill the beans just yet, but know that we’re looking towards a fresh start with brand new designs. Rather than splitting our focus, many of us want to dedicate ourselves to this new venture fully. In this way, we hope to maintain the level of quality and professionalism you’ve come to expect from us. In summary, we are ceasing development of Project M (effective immediately) and will be making no further releases as we turn our attention towards an entirely new venture. As the PMDev team will be formally disbanded, please forward all official communications regarding Project M to video game attorney and business consultant . We appreciate your support and your understanding. One final time, PMDev Thank you for playing! http://projectmgame.com/en/ Maybe this deserves its own thread. yup, thinking so now ive started throwing in wavedashes whilst dding so ill extend my dd or dash forwards wd back and still be facing forwards, anyone have any thoughts on if this is good/bad/terrible or even if theres anyone that really does it a lot at a high level?

First: THE BIG SIX Armada: I believe he deserves the undisputed number one spot for this year so far. He has been the most dominant and consistent vs the other gods, as well as the most feared by all. Nobody wants to face Armada. Hungrybox: He is being playing good, placings high at tournaments on both doubles and singles (1st Paragon, 2nd Evo & 1st Dreamhack). Also, he is being pretty much the only one to give a fight against Armada, having always close sets, and going back and forth. Armada has been dominating pretty much everyone except from Hungrybox (One could argue because of his character Jigglypuff). Also, where is the Liquid bias! Leffen: This year Leffen showed up with big results (3rd Apex, 1st CEO, 5th Evo, and multiple other 1st places in "smaller" tournaments such as WTFOX). Everybody expected Leffen to get higher at Evo, but that's how much everybody knows he has improved and how good he is at the moment. Yes, he has gotten wrecked big time by players like Plup & Westballz, but who doesn't from time to time? Maybe he has "choked" at some matches he was expected to win, but I think that the other player played out of his mind more than Leffen played bad. And when Leffen is on point (like all of the Big 6) he truly scares people. Mango: Yeap, he has been a buster. It feels like forever since Mango won a major (he did win a couple of not-as-major tournaments such as Press Start). But I think this was bound to happen because of his agro-style. I believe the meta has caught up and its been hurting him. But Mango has really been putting a show. This kid is good, we all know that. He has been busted most of the times by Armada, Hungrybox & Plup (and most recently Westballz) because, well, I think they "got his number" or figured him out. But make no doubt, he will be back at the top. Its just a matter of time. PPMD: One of the biggest issue with PPMD is that he doesn't attend many tournaments. Asides of that, he is the real deal. The first obvious thing: 1st place at Apex. That was a while ago, but very impressive nonetheless. And the second obvious thing: 3rd place at Evo. Some might say easy bracket and struggles with SFAT & Hugs. Well, maybe, but he played oh-so-good, and he didn't get stomped by Armada, he lost 3-0, but he really put up a fight and a show. And getting beat by the top 2 players of melee can't really be counted as "getting wrecked". And he is a consistent performer, rarely a buster. One of my personal favorite players to watch. M2K: Same as PPMD, he has being choosing the tournaments he goes to very carefully, which is shame. Another point to note on M2K, is that he plays other Smash games, and he is really good at those as well. Not as many results to show up as the rest, but he is still a god, and can beat any of the other Big 6 at any time. Don't ever sleep on the king. ROUNDING UP THE TOP 10 (SEMI-GODS?) Plup: I believe he is the closest to the gods so far, showing great play with both Sheik & Samus, constantly having great matches and trading sets with Mango, getting consistent top 8s, but always getting wrecked by Armada. No shame there. Axe: Very close to the gods and Plup as well, Axe has really impressed me. He almost beat Armada recently, which would've been totally nuts. Axe is really good having such great results and games vs the very best, and using Pikachu. He as well rounds up most of the top 8s. Westballz: This guy skill is up the roof, it is known. He is right there, giving the gods a run for their money every time he is given the opportunity. He just went on an amazing run at Dreamhack finishing 4th and beating Mango soundly on the way, at Evo he was doing great but got Chudat-ed, and Plup seems to have his number for some reason. Shroomed: This guy keeps improving with his Sheik, and it seems he just keeps getting better. I really had to put him here. There are a lot of good players really close on this 10-15th area, but consistency is the name of the game, and Shroomed is quite good at that game. PERSONAL SHOUTOUT: Duck & Druggedfox! Really looking for more from this guys. Disclaimer: I LOVE THIS GAME
