OMG replays are coming soon thats awesome, can wait to watch these games!
We were up 4-3 so it wasn't ace match. But it was only me or desRow left playing (SLoG managing because he had been up like 24 hours or something ~ this finished at like 8 am KST), and desRow said he didn't feel confident PvP vs a good protoss, so I played
great decision obviously!! proud of desrow for knowing his limits too and being safe. pvp is... just.. sigh do I have to explain. sorry for ignorance on the score Im absolutely brain dead from this thesis paper!!!
Holy jeez Atlantis Spaceship is massive, A bit of a sloppy defense of the standard +1 zealot attack but Scarlett explained that earlier. Not too great a game really. Avenge goes for a blink stalker all-in, Scarlett defends without much of a problem, and then counters for the win. Pretty nice play by Scarlett overall, save the zealot pressure defense of course, but an altogether unspectacular game from a spectator point of view. Good to watch if you're struggling with blink stalker all-ins though, she crushed it pretty resoundingly.
Metropolis also really big. >_> Probably the most standard Scarlett ZvT in the universe. Many expansions including a pretty cute super quick third vs terran fast expand, and fast infestor into super quick hive. Stalls for brood lords with infestors and her patented ridiculous creep spread. She pretty well gooped up all of Metropolis at cross spots. Pretty nice drop defense and eventually kills Kawaii with the BL/infestor/roach/ling push. Pretty entertaining game I thought, showcases why ZvT is her best matchup.
Though if I have one criticism of Scarlett in this game but in a general sense as well its that her injects are pretty unspectacular. Not as bad as it gets though, I just also watched a replay of StrobeLight (is that Heavens? cute ID either way ) who was much worse off on the injects.
I watched the two games of this guy as well, vs Mentalist on Ohana and vs Strobe on Tal Darim. I was really impressed by this guy I've actually never heard of before. Both games he played about as standard as is possible but seemed really solid. He narrowly lost the game vs Mentalist in a like 30 minute game but *insert balance whine here*. Also he's french and I have a soft-spot for french players. :D
I'm curious if Scarlett or any other EC members that might read this can shed any light on what they think of this guy's play.
my injects were pretty bad in the ZvT (and I messed up my opening;; so I had less creep spread than usual)
I will be practicing ZvT with majOr soon so it should improve a lot (and I will learn exactly what is safe or not - as I feel like I play a little too greedy right now)

Oh dear is that what "less creep spread than usual" looks like? Scary. >_>
Also Major is probably my favourite terran (him and MKP anyway) so thats very exciting news. He's stupidly good so if you can get to a point where you go 50/50 with him, that'll be a sign of a monstrous zvt. :D

Desrow doesn't feel confident, so Scarlett says "eh, Avenge? Isn't that guy who knocked IdrA out of Code A? ezpz"
In a long extended winners league style that most SC2 teamleagues use, the ace shouldn't necessarily come out last because the score might be too lopsided for even the ace to handle if this was the case. From the team's decision making today Scarlett could well be not only Eclypsia's most famous player, but their actual ace. :D

With all the hype about her being a girl, its easy to forget that shes actually really really good. Thats not to say she's resoundingly EC's ace or anything like that. For the time being, I'd say Artist still holds that title but its not like Scarlett's far behind either. Welmu is also really good, as is Desrow (yes I'm serious), Sarens, and Dayshi. Haven't seen Slog in forever but he's always been pretty good.
I'd say for now, Scarlett's super close with all those people. EC is actually a pretty strong team the more I think about it.
Good luck vs dtG in the IPL TAC3 qualifiers, which are just starting now (broadcast on Thursday)! If Eclypsia wins, they're in TAC3 no matter what.
Also just a reminder to other people who are following the results and might post them here, use spoilers! IPL is being nice enough to release results, but we don't want their broadcast ruined for people who want to avoid spoilers.

Anyone not wanting to be spoiled should also just stay away from the IPL TAC3 qualifier thread. Eclypsia put spoiler warnings, but the other team came in and didn't XD

I swear most of dtG is korean? Idk if they all live there though. But still, Eclypsia is so international with players in KR, NA, and EU, I think that wouldnt be a fair excuse against EC. ^^
Was talking to EC community manager yesterday and he said timezones arent a problem to them because the players play a lot and have great team spirit. Nice to hear ^^
