Interview from CSN:
Description from her stream profile:
I am 21, in fourth year university - studying studio arts and zoology, have a little cat, play piano, draw, traditionally and digitally paint, am made of science, and live in Southern Ontario.
Under the influence of my older brother, SSNSmashKAB, my childhood was punctuated with the most brilliant and challenging games, including:
Starcraft I Baldur's Gate I/II Icewind Dale I/II Neverwinter nights I/II KKND I/II Age of Empires I/II/III Diablo I/II Descent I/II/III Age of Wonders I/II Stronghold I/II [Insert giant list of Nintendo and Sega games] Nancy Drew I-XII (shuts up) etc.
So when I say I have a passion for games, I don't merely mean that I 'love' playing games. I mean that gaming has enriched my life profoundly and that I enjoy participating in the culture that gaming has platformed. Everyone is welcome in this channel, as I hope it to be a meeting place for casual and avid gamers, but beware, this is a strongly dedicated --Starcraft 2-- channel.
She is coaching aswell:
Coaching General:
Session is streamed $35/h through paypal Availability: Monday-Friday, 3-7pm EST Skype and mic required, english only Zerg only, diamond and below Any server I am having difficulty keeping up with all the requests, so I'm only going to consider emails that send me the appropriate info (see bottom). Coaching sessions are one hour long and available between 3-7pm EST. The session will be steamed on this channel because I have little time outside this schedule and practice partners would be scarce. I would place the student against a player that was slightly better (one league up) and observe a game between them. I would explain general observations after the game and suggest how to improve. The following games, hopefully against the same player, I would actively guide the student in general decision making.
I teach students based on skill/league. Bronze players would be learning one base builds(2 at most). We would work on understanding mineral/gas saturation, solidifying mechanics (injects and overlords) and constant production. Silver gold players would be learning two base play, and plat/diamond would be learning primarily 3 base play with an emphasis on scouting and army composition.
If you are interested in coaching you can email msspytecoaching@gmail.com with-
Required: Character name and code, what league you are in, worst match up, skype info, and availability (between 3-7pm EST monday-friday)
Optional: sending 2-3 replays for pre-session analysis, bringing a practice partner, learning a specific style/build/all in
Yea I tuned in on her stream today (unfortunately she wasnt playing sc) but I had some good laughs with the people in her chat...definitely a classy bunch, will check back of for nothing more than her followers

No she isn't, sadly. Definitely deserves to be up there.
she can be all she really need to do is market herslef alot better... their really is not figure head for a girl gamer just yet, but their are a few well known girl gamers but not 1 that symbolizes the girl gamer

One deserves a fanclub if he/she has a fanbase. Since someone did the work of making an op and claiming that he is a fan she clearly has a fanbase. Logic 101 for you sir
I hope that we can get some replays from her with her vs known players (or her at the MLG Event). Maybe some pictures/quotes/other stuff. The things other Fan Clubs have.
I wish she was featured, she has a TON of followers (3.3k) and a lot of average viewers. I think that if she asked she'd get it. Try and get her to realize about the fan club so she can do stuff with it.
Saw her on destinys stream one evening and watch her whenever she streams now. She has significantly improved in the last month (mid masters to top 3 currently) and is doing well in the iron lady tournament going on right now. Played 2v2s far too much last summer and got top 20 on NA server, played her and her brother on a number of occasions but didn't know anything about her till last month.
I've been watching the stream, it's really entertaining. I think the interview is the first time I've seen her left eye... I thought she was hiding her bionic eye kind of like Rosalina from Mario Galaxy.
Or maybe she just got a bionic eye after that interview.
I wasn't too impressed with her play, but she is pretty solid and she had some good decision making. Fun to watch, and good stream quality. I would watch again.
watch out guys Ms.Spyte just got some competition with Kaitlyn entering the scene. I would absolutely love to watch ms.spyte and kaitlyn have at it with each other in a BO 7 show match or something. That would be awesome. They're both so attractive

I just wanna say that the stream hours Ms Spyte puts in is really awesome. I enjoy her content, her mumblings and stuff she does outside of starcraft (music etc.) I hope good things come from all this :.-)
She's got 1722 viewers right now as she takes on a GM protoss while on the front page of twitch.tv... what does it take to become a featured streamer around here?

For real. She's awesome and deserves a spot. I thought at one time she said she partnered with Twitch. Been following her stream forever and this has always eluded me, especially with her increasing popularity. MsSpyte ftw!
add me to the fanclub at first i wasnt aware she was a female when i hited her on the ladder but many people came on my chat telling me she was one. I had some good games againts her. Definitivly one of the best real female i had to play (with dasakura, Aurora , flo ,Maddelisk and Aphrodite). wish you the best and looking for other good games.
Add plx! Just started watching the stream, plenty of commentary on thought processes & decision making in-game and a lot of replay analysis - great for picking up tips and genuinely enjoyable to watch an enthusiastic gamer play

Don't you need to be on a team, or otherwise contribute to the scene to get featured? She is probably on the same level gameplay-wise as Maximusblack except he has had a longtime youtube channel and is on Quantic.
I can't think of anyone who would have gotten featured just because they have a lot of viewers on twitch and nothing else.
Hi .. I would like to invite people to join us in spyte's weekly streaming (monday through thursday).
1/ Spyte is an invested gamer and if you catch a game of hers .. I'm sure you will be impressed by her game sense, strategy, micro and mechanics
2/ She comments her own play in real time when she's in the mood for it (and lets face it, that is quite difficult to do).
3/ Spyte is a musician and hence has, simply put, the best music among ALL sc2 streamers (quality and diversity showcased will surprise and mesmerize you).
4/ Spyte is fun, she speaks her mind very straightforwardly and that is not a given on sc2 streams
5/ Everyone can always use a lil spyte
ps: could you please add me to the list of fans chroniX

Admittedly, mspyte caters to metal fans.. (korn is not my cup of tea) .. however .. this coexist with "phantom of the opera" or sc1 music.. indian ambient, groove fun etdc...
Like anyone, mspyte makes playlists .; and maybe hard rock (as in harder than pop) is "too" represented .. but that doesn't take over "all".. just means you "wait" for something else just a little longer, however you KNOW that the next type of music will be very different
Do come and see for yourself .. rhum and coke day will get you to "follow" instantly .. i'd bet on it!
edit: f ck keyboard shortcuts rrr, posted with lightning speed .. with half message untyped + Show Spoiler +
Grats on finally being featured! Well deserved, actually one of the streams I watch the most. Hopefully you'll play some more Baldur's Gate actually made me reinstall my copy and start again lol
I just created MsSpyte on Liquipedia. You should add it to the OP Also, feel free to improve the page, that's what a wiki is for! I know it's lacking a lot of potential information but I just wanted to get it out there since she's now a featured streamer. Beware, though, that if you want to upload a picture, you absolutely need to state the copyright information for the picture
It's pretty crazy logging on to TL and seeing Ms. Spyte on top of the list with 2500 viewers and then players like Jjakji, Destiny, and Idra with <1000. The community DOES know what's best I guess.

So who do you want the community to follow? Your correlating a person's followers to their actual merit is ironic since you named Destiny and Idra. Destiny continually gets over 3000+ viewers and he's high masters
That game against Avilo on stream was super good for the first 25 minutes. There's something unique about watching someone depressingly slowly against Avilo win that just makes one hate the game of starcraft, and by extension, the world in which it was created.
Just saw her beat iNcontrol on his stream when he was in full tryhard mode. It was a neat game too-- iNcontrol opened with a cannon rush, then it settled into a normal midgame, and by the end it turned into lots of little micro battles against desperation DTs and blinks talkers with hydras, lings, and swarmhosts.
If you go back to the thread where she signed with ROOT, some people were saying "why would anyone care about her, she's just a mediocre mid-Masters player." Well, not anymore.
Just watched a really cool game on her stream where the Protoss cannon-rushed and then blocked the third with a pylon. She pretended like she was trying to expand there by leaving a drone, when she was actually expanding at the PROTOSS's third! She then built a few swarmhosts and killed the Protoss' natural and then main, and took his old base for herself!
I discovered her stream a few months ago, and I really enjoyed her viewer interaction and great personality. I come back regularly even though I don't play zerg. Having people like that is so good for the community... pleased to see she is GM now and doing fine with ROOT Count me in as a fan !
I hope there's still chance she will start playing SC again if she will regularly stream. Will see.
Thanks for posting this. I've been wondering for a while where Spyte went, waiting for her stream to show up on TL again and had no idea what was going on till now.
Seems like she let the bad games/idiots get in her head too much. To be a long term SC2 player you can't give a fuck about the bad games or what the losers say/think. Or you gotta use them to motivate yourself to get even better and dominate in the future.
Yea I hope at some point she changes her mind and decides to stream some just for fun and for fans if nothing else. Been following SC2 since 2011 and watched her stream for the first time early this year. I was really ill at the time and it was very uplifting watching the stream I enjoyed it a lot. I'm sad that she is not streaming it now :/
However, it is great to see she will still stream even if it isn't necessarily SC2! =) I'll try to catch it live next time ^^
She even deleted all recorded streams except for 3 last... Farewell Coryn, good luck in your "normal" life :/ UPD. That's Twitch fucked everything up by deleting old broadcasts from all channels. Proof Jeez, Google kills Twitch.
