Ladies and Gentlemen, I am proud to introduce Scott 'SirScoots' Smith.
His favorite color is blue. Follow SirScoots! Twitter Stream. Team Liquid Account MyEG.net Profile Sir Scoots is the COO of Evil Geniuses. He first entered the ESPORTS scene through CounterStrike. Which lead him to join GotFrag, which was bought out by Major League Gaming. After leaving GotFrag, he joined forces with Marcus 'djWHEAT' Graham and Rod 'Slasher' Breslau on a show called Live on Three. He was approached by Alex Garfield to help run Evil Geniuses. Two years later, he has helped to continue the growth of the ESPORTS scene with the introduction of OneMoreGame. He is still a host for Live On Three. Oh I am in this for sure. SirScoots is, I think, my number one personality in all of competitive gaming. He's insightful, no-fluff, and brings a lot to any discussion. Love his rants on Lo3 (hardly call 'em rants when the argument is so well-informed though). The fact that his interview was featured so prominently in the WP.org summary of MLG Columbus video should tell you something about how much knowledge this guy has.
What a cool guy and a great example of how to be for all of us, yes I'm a fan!
When LzGaMeR was on Kings of Tin and I said he "isn't that hot", SirScoots was kind enough to take note, go to the effort of correcting me, but not give me a chat time out for blasphemy. A wise and noble man: SirScoots!
Sign me up, SirScoots is a straight up guy and i really admire him for that, hes blunt and to the point something people should cherish in this day and age. The thing is that hes blunt and to the point in a proffesional manner. Im not talking like idra blunt and to the point wich is more in a childish manner
I wonder if he's actually Idras dad.....they seem very similar. Anywho, sign me up! Like everyone is saying. He is very straight forward and tells you how it is. I love that.
I really enjoyed hearing him through the interviews with Well-Played.org. I respected him before and thought he was a great guy, but after that interview, I really hope to achieve or be working alongside someone like him in the gaming industry or wherever I will be.
Sign me up =D! Sirscoots is such a great guy and deserves a big ol' <3. Have fun running the most baller sc2/gaming team in the world =D (Tell Mr.Greg that I said hi!)
Sign me up. This guy gives the most insightful/thoughtful answers in interviews. A really nice change of pace from the usual vague/short answers given usually

I remember the first time i met Scott IRL, it was during MLG Dallas 09 i think? The one where he was still working it and before all this sc2 stuff. We had this big meeting beforehand where everyone that was working the PC Circuit was gathered. He gave this sick speech about how this was his and his co-worker's livelihood, and expected everyone to do an outstanding job or whatever.
Then he looked at me and said something like "Well, except for you geez, you're just doing website stuff and are jesuit's problem." Probably shouldn't have quoted that, but it was something along those lines and was fucking hilarious to me.
Anyway, Scott is awesome and deserves every fan that he has. GO EG AND GO SIRSCOOTS!

As much twitter drama that happens between me and Scoots, I can say without shame that I devour every interview of Scoots there is, without a doubt he is a top-tier interview.
I just watched Weapon of Choice #30. I found all that team business and team management stuff fascinating. Would love to see more content on that. Ever considering doing a show that highlights more of the business/behind the scenes stuff of the eSports scene. At the very least, work it more into Lo3 or such.
Big SirScoots fan. I see that you're just passionate and not pissed off at everyone.

Sign me up. Whether you like it or not, he's one of the many reasons e-sports is growing. Also, judging by his interviews, it seems like he really cares about his players (particularly IdrA) which is awesome!
Hey Scoots, I got to talk to you for about 10 minutes in Anaheim regarding the dead air on the MLG streams and possible fixes. I'm preparing my feedback e-mail for them like you recommended. Thanks for your input! For those of you who see him at events, I found him to be very personable - don't hesitate to go talk to him!
Scoots, are you and wheat as upset as I am that slasher was right about MLG?? I humbly request you guys punish him on LO3 by talking about how much quake is dead.
MLG was awesome, wish I could have talked to Scoots more. He was very busy, yet everytime I would see him he would stop for a bit to talk to me. Really great weekend he helped me get: http://imgur.com/8Nfiu. Really great guy.
Sign me up! I have to say that of all the teams out there, I find EG the most interesting (not the best in the sense of getting the most results, but they consistently are coming up with things that are entertaining and worthwhile paying attention to).
Hi Scoots! I just watched the VOD where you are playing Amnesia (totally cracked up during the water scene lol). The VOD stops after two hours as usual but I couldn't find the rest. Please where is the rest? I need to watch this.
S.A.D is awesome! I need to watch you playing Silent Hill and stuff like that! :O Any new episodes/games planned?

Sir scoots was running around everywhere at mlg orlando.Constantly with players and you could tell he really really cares. He was extremely friendly and awesome to talk to.
I made it a point to give him a fist bump every time I saw him to show my appreciation for everything he is doing with EG. I got like 10 fist bumps with the man, and he never turned me down. Such a baller.
I highly suggest you guys check out his interview with Anna on youtube. You can really tell he cares so much on a personal level, and seeing him always catching as many matches as he could you could just see how much he had invested in it.

Sir Scoots will be doing an AMA this upcoming Monday (October 31st) at 5 PM PST as part of the Starcraft AMA Weekly. In the AMA you'll be able to ask scoots anything personal or professional (answer not guaranteed.)
I am in process of writing an introduction for our resident eSports legend. Is there anything you guys feel should be emphasized.
I don't have time to get through all of the questions, but I got through quite a bit of them and I love the answers. His interviews are always great, and he always reminds me of CS:GO which just gets me more pumped. I can't wait for that game to come out! :D Scoots you are awesome! Also good job with the EGMC!
That thread has an ~1:40:00 minute podcast with SirScoots, Sundance, and several others. It's a COD podcast but the majority of the content is applicable to SC and COD.
Scoots just casually used the phrase "to each their own" during todays live on three... this screams for a statement from Alex Garfield. Its so offending, I´m going to cry myself to sleep and the make a reddit thread on this tomorrow. Goodnight, cruel world :´(

My god....You just cry out for attention...Anywho, love ya Scoots =D.
Thanks for your commitment to EG, and organizing and presenting your thoughts with Slasher and djWHEAT on Live on Three! Thank you for appropriate transparency in business presented on Lo3.
Keep the EG players healthy, with a renewed passion for competition! I believe in EG. It's role and your employment are mainstays for the esports framework. It's helping RTS games chug along. And who doesn't love Jwong?!
Thanks for the professionalism to your brand. Blizzard seems to be hurting it's prestige here and there... Thankfully EG is a multi-division team! The brand at the end of the day provides the team the professional antagonist vs. underdog conflict in esports! The brand overrules all personal success.
Intel can't be tamed and let's not get into Monster Energy... Sapphire just makes sick GPUs... and their promotion is just plain good for PC gaming's future.

I thought it was great. Each Opening is always a very unique experience based on the host country and this one was no exception. Nothing will probably ever top Beijing's Opening in regard to epicness and scale, but I loved the music part and am still giggling with joy that the Sex Pistols and Prodigy were actually played at an Olympic Opening Ceremony.
I might try and stream tonight, but been feeling under the weather since returning from London and need to not be sick for MLG and PAX, so sorry about the lack of SAD Lokerek!
SirScoots just announced that he's stepping down as COO of EG.
GG Scoots! I don't think that even the EG haters could deny that he grew that organization tremendously during his time there. Looking forward to see where you go next!

I wonder whats prompted him to leave EG. He seemed to really love working with the team, and imo he was the face of the team more so than the players. Also, what happens to the house in Arizona, and the players? Most of them have been living there for a while now.
What about Incontrol? Its my understanding that he's taken on more of a coaching role as opposed to a player. How can he be a coach if the team isn't under the same roof?
So many questions, and I'm really sad about this news T.T;
Scoots said that he just feels like it's time for him to move on to something new in his life. He emphasized that there was absolutely no bad blood between him and EG, he still loves the team, and he will still consult for them as much as they want/need him. He also underlined that Alex Garfield and everyone else at EG are incredibly capable, and will continue to run the organization just fine without him, the implication being that for fans there won't be any noticeable change to the team. So, for EG fans, I don't think there's anything to worry about!
He's going to stay in esports in some capacity, though he doesn't know yet where he'll go. The only thing he said he wouldn't do is join up with another team, because he's still EG at heart.

He didn't mention it. I'm not sure if he owns it or not, but I'd be seriously surprised if his leaving affected the lair in any way. It really doesn't sound like he's cutting off all ties with EG or anything dramatic like that, so I'm sure they'll work out complications of this kind, if there are any at all.

Great summary of what he said. He also stated that he will remain as a shareholder of Team EG, so he won't be working for another team and will "always bleed blue".
Absolutely one of the best personalities in the scene. Loved him in Lo3 as well as working for team EG. Great personality and sounds like a great guy over all. Also loving S.A.D. <3

I think you're mixing up some things a little bit.. The EG lair in Phoenix, AZ belongs to EG. SirScoots also lives in Phoenix, AZ in his own house. The players will not be moving. The one thing that is unclear is EG MCSL which was run from SirScoots' studio in his house.

About EG MCSL. Scoots mentioned how much he loves the production side of Esports and stuff, so personally, i don't think he'll step down from that. But i guess we'll see eventually!
Thank you for the kind words and posts folks. This is not the end of my time in esports, just this chapter. I have been around here for 13 years and only the last 4 have been with EG and Lo3.
