Trying to juggle WCG + OSL + next GSL season, GSTL with IM and other possible foreign tournaments is a lot to deal with for someone with an injury.
Anyway, I know we as his fans have high standards and expect him to make a deep run in every tournament but It's just not going to happen, take the good with the bad. We just had IEM and the Fan Club gained like 15 pages, It's something to be excited about when he is playing well and now we wait until he is playing well again to be excited.
I am not sure about that. I think people really underestimate how close in levels these players are in Korea. Sometimes you need a little luck as well (i.e. scouting that proxy starport).
I mean look at Creator, he won WCS Korea but didn't make it out of his UnD group. Did he lose his motivation for GSL after his WCS win? Or Taeja losing to First in MLG...
People forget that even during his WCG Korea run last year, he needed Happy to beat MC just to make it to tiebreakers. Or in GSL S2, he was a miracle BC switch from getting knocked out by Ryung. Of course, you need to be good to win tournaments but you need a little luck as well. It probably also doesn't help that Mvp is probably the most studied players from the Kespa teams. I am sure he will bounce back.

Well this is basically what I am trying to say minus the motivation part, as good as someone may be you are not going to win every game and you are not going to make it deep into every tournament. Like you said, Creator is the WCS Korea champion and not even in Code S for this upcoming season.
If Mvp is indeed having motivation problems ( It's definitely possible, being injured and already being the most successful player ever ) I think HOTS will help him regain that motivation. Beta can't come soon enough.
HOTS Terran seems to fit his style much more than WOL does, mech all the way.
To comment on the skill level of players: It is indeed very close, much closer than last year.
Mvp dominated August-December 2011 because he was actually just way better than everyone else minus a few players ( those players being MMA and Leenock ) combined with a bit of luck you have the most insane tournament streak ever recorded in starcraft 2.

Yup, during that period. He won a lot of games he was quite behind in through a combination of great plays and other players making a mistake. Although players still make mistakes, they are much better at protecting their advantage compare to last year.
As for motivation, I honestly feel that is more due to his injury than him being satisfied for being the most successful player so far. So hopefully the treatment he is getting will help him overcome this issue.

Whenever he loses a game or two I just look at his wiki page and my faith is restored .
gogo Mvp.

It just feels good to look at.

haha thanks for showing that pictures, damn hopefully he will win gsl and osl

Mvp - Single handily prevented buffs and causing nerfs to Terran since 2010. WHY YOU SO GOOD?
|
Now instead of balancing whining about Terran being so weak he can start whining about how hes so good.

Something is wrong there Didgin didn't Nestea win the GSL thrice and MC only twice?

Yes but each line is a seperate 3 part timeline, so you may seem some championships featured more than once (gsl march 2011 for example) because it came right after mvp's january win and thus was last on line 1. However, it came right before mvp's gsl world championship win and is thus featured first on line 2. It's the same event but shows up more than once due to how the timelines play out. Nestea's other title isn't on there since it was open season 2 and mvp didn't win a gsl directly after it and thus it wouldn't be part of a 3 part timeline.

I think that if MVP would lose motivation, he would be quick to quit playing. He's mentioned before in interviws that he thinks people who lost interest and passion in the game should consider quitting instead of enduring the pain of playing when bored. Besides, MVP has the ultimate sign of passion: He says he is eager to play specific people. Like, he will remark that he really wants to play against KESPA players who show a lot of potential and have adapted quickly. To me, that's a sign of a healthy mindset!
It's true that he isn't as dominant as he once was, but that's both a good and a bad thing. Dominating for a while, then dying off is something that's really sad, but what has happened is that the playing field has been equalised, and MVP is still always a contender to win any tournament he is in. Sure, he'll not win everything; one has to be prepared to lose. In this game, there will be many losses. :p And while his injury has hindered his play, it doesn't appear to have hindered his mind, except perhaps very slightly.

We can all be happy though that he is still the most accomplished and dominant player so far.

Man, that's practically the group of death, isn't it? :p

MVP is such a cutzie, hope he grabs his fifth gsl
|
Looking forward to the Mvp vs MMA rematch, MMA always seems to come out with some odd build order timing to catch Mvp off-guard, hopefully this'll be a little less one-sided than before.
|
lost passion? that's like such a retarded statement considering he's probably top 3 if not the only person who has the most achievements in sc2. if anything he's more passionate than anyone else for his consistent dedication to remain at the top. there is something to be said about consistency which doesn't go in hand with giving up (loss of passion)

is MVP's next match the Code S Ro32?

Mvp you need to win, just because I want to see your smile again.(no homo) :D
