Well I guess all the shippers are sad now. From what I said on IRC about the matter: + Show Spoiler +[04:33] <Sentenal> total eclipse went from Cryska and Yui saying "We are now beyond enemies... We are LOVE RIVALS!" to one of them getting killed and the other turning out to be MC's sister So lol, I wouldn't be surprised if this was just them intentionally trolling people.
This part made me laugh + Show Spoiler +Oh right, Yui gives Yuuya her family sword which is traditionally inherited by the head of the family, and she says outright to his face that traditionally it's supposed to be handed down to the eldest son. He has no clue and just goes all "cool sword" and takes it. In the end only Yui, Heineman and Iwaya are the only ones who know that they're siblings. cool sword

First impressions after one episode + Show Spoiler + What the hell so much fanservice? The railgun ability is really cool and I like the whole take on psychic powers. Middle schoolers doing everything ugh. Why is it always middle schoolers? I like where this is going. And as always, the amount of fansubs options confuse me. To watch Railgun you have to watch Index, and that's 24 ep x 3... well not have to but it's a spinoff from Index and without it alot stuff won't make sense. Index-> Railgun -> Railgun S -> Index s2 could work too. I would recommend Railgun -> Railgun S -> Index more, as Railgun's plot start before the events from Index (Toma mentions meeting a sorcerer somewhere in the middle of first Railgun iirc). And I strongly recommend watching everything, maybe the plot isn't sometimes the best but the MCs are top notch.

I'm biased and recommend skipping the first season of Railgun entirely. Just read the Level Upper in the manga if you really want to experience it.
Index -> Index s2 -> Railgun s2. When they aren't meeting their mandatory Saten and Friends slice of life quota Railgun s2 is actually top notch. + Show Spoiler +hatesatensomuchhatehatehatehatehate

Or you could just...not watch Index at all! You won't be missing that and Railgun has mostly all the Misaka Mikoto you need.

Does the anime of SnK follow the manga without any fillers? Or is it possible to get some extra backstory/character development from the episodes?
|
Why on earth would you only watch Railgun though? Mikoto's at her best in Index (with the exception of the current arc in Railgun, that is.)
I guess I could see only doing the Railgun manga.

This. I tend to prefer the science side stuff, and index has some good arcs.

That doesn't matter, calling it butchered would be an understatement. It has barely anything to do with the actual plot of the VN.

Read the VN instead.

I'm trying to remember a show, I'm not 100% if what an anime or not but I think someone here would have a decent chance at remembering. This was a while ago, and I remember getting up early just to watch this show, on a channel I don;t remember. The show was a mecha-fantasy. The main character was a girl with short brown hair, who had a pendant/necklace, where if she let it swing it would never stop and would just keep swinging back and forth. I think she gets sent back in time, and teleported to a different world, I don;t remember a whole lot about the plot, considering this was a about 10-12 years ago. The world she was in was set in medieval times, and people used mid sized stone/metal mecha's to fight. They weren;t much taller than normal people(10~ feet tall). There was something to do with angels, I distinctively remember a scene where the main male, carries the main girl out some pit after growing angelic wings. I know it;s not a lot to go on but I've been trying to remember the name for a while.
